Welcome!

[edit]

Hey, if you need to tell me something this is the place to do it. Chat away.

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I've noticed that you've been adding your signature to some of your article contributions. This is a simple mistake to make and is easy to correct. For future reference, the need to associate edits with users is taken care of by an article's edit history. Therefore, you should use your signature only when contributing to talk pages, the Village Pump, or other such discussion pages. For a better understanding of what distinguishes articles from these type of pages, please see What is an article?. Again, thanks for contributing, and enjoy your Wikipedia experience! Thank you. --Blanchardb 09:32, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ask and ye shall receive

[edit]

You asked me, P.S-How do you get those pictures on ur user page that say your canadian and other stuff?

Those are templates. Standardized text. Some of them are made for tagging articles, others for sending a form message to someone, and there are some, like the ones you asked about, for telling a bit about yourself. You can find more about how to use them at Wikipedia:Userboxes. For the time being, just concentrate on sections 1 (how to put one on your user page) and 5 (existing boxes to choose from - not a complete list, by the way). --Blanchardb 00:37, 7 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notification of automated file description generation

[edit]

Your upload of File:Biamie's Cave Outside.jpg or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks!
