I just can't get through to user JB196. He continues to revert the article, reducing its quality claiming that he is not credited as "The Author" in the article itself. The issue is being brought up here [1] help would be greatly appreciated. -- bulletproof 3:16 03:11, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

Image tagging for Image:Curtis_Hughes.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Curtis_Hughes.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

I like the table you added to the World Wrestling Council article. Maybe you can straighten something out for me. I noticed you put the Women's Championship in the Inactive section, which is consistent with the WWC Women's Championship article, and with the information on wrestling-titles.com (where, I assume, the info for that article came from). Nevertheless, people have been updating the WWC article with recent Women's Championship title changes, and the WWC web site shows it along with other active titles (although it is currently vacant). Do you know for sure that it is inactive, or were you just going by those other sites? Geoffg 00:54, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- No problem. Also, I think it's been vacant only for a week or so. If you look at the edit history for the WWC page, you can see that other editors have been updating the holders of various titles, including the Women's. Going by the edits, the title became vacant between Nov. 28 and Dec. 4. 2006 Geoffg 01:45, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
Image:Curtis Hughes.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Curtis Hughes.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add
{{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Chowbok ☠ 04:44, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:StarTAC.jpg. Unspecified source for Image:StarTAC.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:StarTAC.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Angr 19:17, 21 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit]No problem. I've had a hell of a time keeping those pages unvandalised. I'm close to considering requesting protection for Wrestler of the Year, but hopefully the vandalism will slow down after the winners are announced. -- Scorpion 20:40, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit]You previously made some major changes to this article. Unfortunately it wasn't enough for some American wrestling fans who have nominated it for deletion as not notable and failing WP:BIO. Might be an idea to participate in the debate, and maybe improve the article more if you can. I think they are effectively saying this article is a load of lies, but that's just my opinion. 124.181.204.208 07:34, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
- I've added some comments to the Afd regarding his notability, can you take a look and see if you're prepared to reconsider please? Thanks. One Night In Hackney 10:54, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Thanks for the WikiProject Kentucky State Highway box. I started the project a long time ago, but have had some odd things going on personally which took me away from Wiki. I should be back now (I hope) ;-).

How did you make the hotlinked barchart at Professional wrestling promotion?
[edit]How didya do it? This is really spiffy and a technique that could be used a lot more widely on Wikipedia. Mikedelsol 09:47, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

Well its good you did their titles but its the promotions article that needs work, the Roster/Alumni needs to be removed (no reason for it to be there) and the text must be cleaned up with better references. If this is done i see no reason why the tag couldnt then be removed. --- Paulley
Orphaned fair use image (Image:Twister cover.PNG)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Twister cover.PNG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Notability of J-1 Heavyweight Championship
[edit]A tag has been placed on J-1 Heavyweight Championship, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. —Pilotguy push to talk 02:15, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
