Alfa Romeo Giulia/Ferrari F154
[edit]Hi FGA cheerleader. Please take a look at the talk page of Ferrari F154 engine...lets sort this out. Thanks! Jaredclce (talk) 19:49, 31 August 2015 (UTC)
- Yes I saw it but I don't know on which text you are referring. In Italian magazine Quattroruote Ferrari engineer Philippe Krief, which is Giulia's chief engineer, said that this 2.9 engine was specially designed for Giula QV and it has 90° between cylinders which is obvious from pictures. If it has 90° bank it can't have nothing in common with V6 60° in Maserati.--FGA cheerleader (talk) 20:13, 31 August 2015 (UTC)
- I posted two articles on the Ferrari F154 Talk page. Jaredclce (talk) 20:20, 31 August 2015 (UTC)
- Also, I can't find a single picture of the new engine. Jaredclce (talk) 20:21, 31 August 2015 (UTC)
- Ultimately, two highly reputable articles that state that/contradict the old piece, and no photos of the engine (at least that I can find) to contradict. Jaredclce (talk) 20:27, 31 August 2015 (UTC)
- Automotive News is also highly, highly reputable (basically the most reputable source out there for this type of news). (Sorry for the numerous posts!) Jaredclce (talk) 20:31, 31 August 2015 (UTC)
- Your sources are highly misleading about Alfa Giulia. Not only this V6 is different than one in Ghibli but also it's all new platform. I found some images: http://s17.postimg.org/3lvi908zz/cxcv9726.jpg http://s8.postimg.org/4e4sd51tg/alfa1.jpg http://s8.postimg.org/x2hqgd3zo/alfa2.jpg --FGA cheerleader (talk) 20:47, 31 August 2015 (UTC)
- There's nothing misleading about them, they simply state information...but this is interesting. I'd like to go with these sources that I've cited unless something written is released (say, of greater validity, in greater abundance than a single source, or from the manufacturer themselves), which I'm pretty sure is within Wikipedia policy.Jaredclce (talk) 20:57, 31 August 2015 (UTC)
- What's more valid than interview with Giulia's chief engineer? I gave you it scanned and only problem is if you don't know Italian. Yes, you gave misinformation from media which wrote about Giulia immediately after presentation. If you read interview with Krief than you know that he said that Ghibli engine was unsuited for such a great power as in Giulia. And another picture from official presentation where you can see it has 90°angle: http://s13.postimg.org/ky28w1a9j/cxcv5711.jpg --FGA cheerleader (talk) 21:04, 31 August 2015 (UTC)
- And also they stated same as Krief, 4R and me: http://www.autoevolution.com/news/2016-alfa-romeo-qv-is-more-than-meets-the-eye-video-photo-gallery-97109.html http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/car-news/industry-news/alfa-romeo/seven-surprises-on-new-alfa-romeo-giulia-revealed-by-chief-engineer/ --FGA cheerleader (talk) 21:37, 31 August 2015 (UTC)
