. Izno (talk) 19:49, 17 November 2022 (UTC)- Izno, in other news, the user just started a sock account in order to post propaganda for the Chinese government. It's pretty sad. Drmies (talk) 17:29, 17 December 2022 (UTC)
- I've submitted an unblock request almost a week ago, with no response.
- Furthermore, it is extremely disrespectful and inappropriate for a Wikipedia administrator to make such a statement about another user without providing evidence to support their claim. Accusing someone of spreading propaganda for the Chinese government is a serious charge, and it should not be made lightly or without solid proof.
- It is not acceptable behavior for a Wikipedia administrator to engage in personal attacks or make unproven allegations against other users. As an administrator, it is their responsibility to set a good example and uphold the highest standards of professionalism and respect for others. This type of behavior is not in line with the values and principles of Wikipedia, and it is important for all users, including administrators, to follow the guidelines and policies of the site in order to maintain a positive and respectful community.FF toho (talk) 17:32, 17 December 2022 (UTC)

Request reason:
Dear Wikipedia, I am writing to apologize for the copyright violation I made on your platform. I understand the importance of respecting intellectual property and the consequences of not doing so. I want to assure you that my actions were not intentional and I did not mean to cause any harm. I was unaware that the information I added to the article was copyrighted material and I deeply regret my mistake. I understand the need for strict policies to protect intellectual property and I will be more careful in the future to ensure that I am not violating any copyrights. I sincerely apologize for my error and I hope that you can consider lifting my ban.
I want to also clarify that the reason I created an alternate account to continue editing articles was not out of malicious intent. I was simply frustrated that my previous ban appeal had gone without response for an extended period of time and I wanted to continue contributing to the platform. I understand that creating an alternate account is not allowed and I regret my actions. I will make sure to follow all rules and guidelines in the future and not resort to creating an alternate account again. Again, I am deeply sorry for my mistake and I hope that you can consider lifting my ban so that I can continue to contribute to Wikipedia in a responsible manner.

Decline reason:
You are blocked, not banned, there is a difference. This request does not tell what steps you will take to avoid copyright violations in the future. Furthermore, creating a new account to evade your block isn't acceptable whether it is out of malice or frustration. Right now I think unblocking you would be a net negative. 331dot (talk) 23:10, 17 December 2022 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
No unblock request was submitted from this account. Evidence of the propaganda is this edit, by the sock account, User:Juche Necromancy. Drmies (talk) 17:45, 17 December 2022 (UTC)
- I submitted it via the unblock form, unless that somehow failed to send. Also, once again, it's extremely unprofessional and rude for a Wikipedia administrator to accuse people of spreading propaganda. Not only does it violate assume good faith, but it's also a personal attack. FF toho (talk) 17:53, 17 December 2022 (UTC)

Request reason:
Dear Wikipedia community, I am writing to appeal my block from editing articles on Wikipedia. I understand that my actions were a violation of copyright law, and I deeply apologize for any harm that I may have caused. I would like to assure you that I fully understand the importance of respecting the intellectual property of others and the legal consequences of violating copyright. I understand that my actions were a mistake, and I promise to be more careful in the future. In order to prevent further copyright infringements, I plan to take the following steps:
1. Familiarize myself with Wikipedia's policies on copyright and plagiarism.
2. Carefully review all sources and ensure that I have the necessary permissions before using any content in my edits.
3. Seek guidance from other editors or administrators if I am unsure about the copyright status of a particular source.
Again, I deeply apologize for my actions and any harm that I may have caused. I hope that you will consider my appeal and allow me to contribute to Wikipedia once again. FF toho (talk) 21:26, 25 December 2022 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Declined. A successful unblock request must show that you've already familiarized yourself with copyright policy and can explain it on a basic level in a way that demonstrates to the reviewing admin that you understand the policy. signed, Rosguill talk 03:19, 30 December 2022 (UTC)

Request reason:
Dear Wikipedia Administrators, I am writing to appeal my block from editing articles due to a copyright violation. I deeply apologize for my actions and understand the importance of respecting copyright laws. I fully acknowledge that I violated the copyright policies by copy-pasting a Reddit post into a discussion without the OP's permission. I understand that this is a clear breach of the policy on "using others' work without permission or proper attribution" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Copyrights). In order to prevent further copyright infringements in the future, I have already familiarized myself with the copyright policies and will take the following steps: I will always seek permission from the original creator before using their work, whether it be in a discussion or in an article. I will properly attribute any work that I use, following the guidelines outlined in the policy on "attribution and licensing" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Attribution). I will make sure to double-check and verify the source of any information that I use, to ensure that it is not copyrighted material. I understand the importance of adhering to copyright laws and am committed to following the policies outlined by Wikipedia. I hope that my actions in the future will demonstrate my understanding and respect for these policies. FF toho (talk) 10:03 pm, 1 January 2023, Sunday (2 months, 5 days ago) (UTC+1)

I accept your request. But, be aware, the next block would probably be infinite. Vanjagenije (talk) 01:06, 8 March 2023 (UTC)
- Any explanation for the sockpuppetry? — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 07:12, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
- I have already explained my actions in the past, but I understand that you may have missed my previous explanation. I want to reiterate that the reason I created an alternate account to continue editing articles was not out of malicious intent. I was simply frustrated that my previous ban appeal had gone without response (or at least I thought I did, apparently it never sent) for an extended period of time and I wanted to continue contributing to the platform. I understand that creating an alternate account is not allowed and I regret my actions.
- I also want to note that it seems you have been particularly attentive to all of my actions on Wikipedia. While I understand the importance of maintaining the integrity of the platform, I hope that this is not an indication of any personal bias or vendetta towards me. I am committed to following the guidelines and rules of Wikipedia and hope to continue contributing to the platform in the future. — FF toho (talk) 15:45, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Izno: Do you object to unblocking? It seams to me this user deserves a WP:ROPE. @Drmies: Since you tagged this user as a "CU confirmed" sockmaster, I am asking for your permission to unblock (As I can see, there was one edit by a sock puppet, so maybe we can give a second chance). Vanjagenije (talk) 00:34, 8 March 2023 (UTC)
- User:Vanjagenije, I don't think I mind, except for one thing: I need this user to respect our guidelines and stay away from the blatantly non-neutral edits and posts they made regarding the Uyghur matter, which we on Wikipedia, following reliable secondary sources, indeed qualify as a genocide. Thanks, Drmies (talk) 00:38, 8 March 2023 (UTC)
- @Vanjagenije, I have no objections to unblocking if you believe they are sincere regarding their copyright understanding.
- You should be aware of the other context to that block, which was Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/IncidentArchive1114#Request concerning FF toho and on which I have no strong comment (well, I guess you're the admin that is taking the appeal ;). Drmies appears to have given you some thoughts along that dimension though. Izno (talk) 00:41, 8 March 2023 (UTC)
