What is the purposr of creating this new article rather than addinfg to the existing Submarine Squadron 4?TheLongTone (talk) 00:00, 25 June 2014 (UTC)
On the other page, I wrote about 90 percent of SUBRON 4's history. What started three or four years ago as a few mere paragraphs, I turned into a complete history. Someone thought it okay to just move all of that important history to the talk page without even so much as a courtesy note to me. Fine. I am done with that page, especially when editors come along who never wore the uniform and don't understand Naval Traditions and History.
I will maintain the new page since I started it and it will be a repository for SUBRON4's history all the way back to the beginning and the page's focus is that very important history.

- Which does not answer the question: why two articles?TheLongTone (talk) 11:03, 25 June 2014 (UTC)

An offer of help
[edit]Hi. I see you've run into some difficulty with The History of Submarine Squadron Four, US Navy / Submarine Squadron 4. I know little about submarines although a certain Thomas Dolby song ranks as a favourite of mine; however I am an experienced Wikipedia editor and I would like to extend both my encouragement for you continue to editing articles of interest, and also extend an offer of my help if you need assistance in editing, structuring or otherwise developing article content. Best regards. -- Whpq (talk) 19:05, 26 June 2014 (UTC)
Thank you for your offer. I have started a Facebook page with all of my years of historical research on my old squadron. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1449516395305558/ Anything you want to glean from that FB page for Wiki use is fine with me.
