[edit]Hello, I'm CataracticPlanets. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to David Dreier seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on David Dreier. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.
The material you are removing has every appearance of being neutrally-worded, non-defamatory, and adequately sourced. If you believe it should be removed, your best move is not to continue blanking it, but rather to begin a discussion on the article's talk page. I suggest you thoroughly familiarize yourself with Wikipedia's biographies of living persons policy.
I assure you, from the bottom of my heart, that this is positively your best option, and realistically your only one. I have seen this scenario play out probably twenty or more times, on all sides of the political spectrum. I've never once seen your tactics be successful. Mostly what happens is that the article gets locked down and the editor gets blocked. If you don't want that to happen, please do as I suggest. NewEnglandYankee (talk) 02:34, 14 June 2018 (UTC)
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at David Dreier. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continual disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Donner60 (talk) 02:51, 14 June 2018 (UTC)
- Only one of the three citations appears to be a "tabloid."
