Speedy deletion nomination of Bōwman Media
[edit]You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.
Thank you.
A tag has been placed on Bōwman Media, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an acceptable page. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam.
If you can indicate why the subject of this page is not blatant advertising, . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. You are welcome to edit the page to fix this problem, but please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. As well as removing promotional phrasing, it helps to add factual encyclopaedic information to the page, and add citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the page will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Geogene (talk) 23:46, 6 March 2015 (UTC)
Please read my comments at Talk:Paul Appleby (tenor) and take them on board. Voceditenore (talk) 16:42, 16 May 2015 (UTC)
This is a note to remind you if you are an employee of Paul Appleby's managing agents (Etude Arts or Harrison Parrott) or his publicists (Bōwman Media), your edits to this article are considered paid editing, and in those cases, you must disclose your connection and name the employer or client for whom you work. Terms of use/FAQ on paid contributions without disclosure has more guidance on this. This also applies to the following other articles: Mayumi Seiler, James Westman, Wallis Giunta, Benjamin Bowman, and Teng Li all of whom are clients of Bōwman Media. Speedy deletion nomination of John Chest
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on John Chest requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/profiles/3sykVq08fsPrHCPYGWNnTCr/john-chest. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. reddogsix (talk) 22:37, 6 August 2018 (UTC)

Notability Concerns Re: Jason Ferrante
[edit]Hi. I saw that you updated this article to add more citations. Unfortunately, they seem to be more of the same. Artist bio profiles tend to be based on information provided by the artist themselves and are not going to be counted towards notability. And articles naming the person as a performer or visiting artist rarely help establish notability (an exception might be, for example, a brief mention saying someone won a Grammy).
I strongly suggest you review WP:MUSICBIO and consider whether this article satisfies the requirement for notability. My impression is he's a working artist who hasn't been the subject of "multiple, non-trivial, published works", won or been nominated for significant awards, doesn't have an impressive track history of recordings, etc. This isn't meant as a criticism, but not every musician meets notability requirements.
I didn't nominate the article for deletion because I know how it feels to be working on an article and then have it nominated for deletion, so I wanted to give you some time to improve it. Also you might think I've overlooked something. However, unless the article improves or I've really misunderstood the situation, I'm prepared to propose this for deletion. Oblivy (talk) 03:59, 13 June 2024 (UTC)
The article Jason Ferrante has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
This article fails to assert notability which would satisfy WP:NBIO or WP:NMUSIC. The page creator has been alerted to these concerns and given time to rectify it. However, without any significant coverage, and cited sources consisting of brief mentions, artist profiles, and staff listings, this article seems to have little chance of meeting notability standards.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Oblivy (talk) 02:52, 14 June 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Your edit to Draft:Samantha Crawford (soprano) has been removed in whole or in part, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for information on how to contribute your work appropriately. For legal reasons, Wikipedia strictly cannot host copyrighted text or images from print media or digital platforms without an appropriate and verifiable license. Contributions infringing on copyright will be removed. Question about noindex status
[edit]On my page Samantha Crawford (soprano), there is a noindex marking in the backend code. How do I get rid of this to allow Google indexing? Thank you for any help, EB Eshbowman (talk) 16:48, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
- To follow-up on this issue:
- I have made significant improvements to the article, ensuring that it complies with Wikipedia's notability guidelines by adding reliable, third-party sources. These sources clearly establish that Samantha Crawford (soprano) is a notable soprano, with significant international performances and media coverage. I’ve carefully reviewed the criteria for biographies of living persons and have incorporated independent references that demonstrate her impact in the opera and concert world.
- Could you please advise on the next steps to have the "noindex" tag removed? I would appreciate any guidance on addressing any remaining concerns about notability or sourcing. Thank you for your time and assistance. -EB Eshbowman (talk) 15:45, 12 November 2024 (UTC)

November 2024
[edit]Hello Eshbowman. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Eshbowman. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Eshbowman|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Secretlondon (talk) 14:58, 13 November 2024 (UTC)
- Having looked at your edit history in connection with Jason Ferrante (now-deleted) it seems clear you have worked as a communications professional serving musicians. I will not provide specific details per WP:OUTING but any relationship needs to be acknowledged. Oblivy (talk) 05:03, 14 November 2024 (UTC)

- Here @Secretlondon thank you again for your guidance. I tried adding
