Ways to improve KeRanger

[edit]

Hi, I'm Mduvekot. Epicawesomewolf, thanks for creating KeRanger!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. The statement It was found on on April 6th, 2016 is implausible; that date is in the future.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. Mduvekot (talk) 01:57, 10 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on International Sloth Day requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from URL. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. March 2016

[edit]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Valve Anti-Cheat, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. You made the edit and I undid it as unsourced. Either provide a reference or take it to the talk page. Do not continue to restore the edit. Furthermore, undoing an edit without leaving a summary is the same as calling it vandalism, which is not appropriate. Meters (talk) 21:50, 12 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Valve Anti-Cheat. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia.
A user-generated site such a s atalk forum is not a reliable source. See WP:RS, particularly WP:USERGENERATED. That forum thread did not even properly support the statement, and the rest of the material still has no source at all. Meters (talk) 21:57, 12 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I'll leave the material in for now so that you can provide proper sources, but if you do not I will remove it again soon. there is no guarantee that someone else will not remove it immediately. You might want to read WP:OR too. Meters (talk) 21:59, 12 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I got it from an official Valve website. Scroll down and you will see the correct answer. I couldn't just cite the answer. --Epicawesomewolf (talk) 22:01, 12 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
It may be the official forum hosted on the games site, but the content you are using as your reference is nothing but user-generated postings on the forum. It is useless as a reference. Again, read WP:USERGENERATED. Meters (talk) 22:06, 12 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Alright. I see what you are talking about. Sorry about all the arguing. Thanks for making Wiki a better place :) Epicawesomewolf (talk) 22:07, 12 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed you've asked for your International Sloth Dayto be deleted. It could be a valid article. Get some solid independent refs for it (newspaper articles mentioning it, for example) and write it up in your own words and it will likely be acceptable. Meters (talk) 22:13, 12 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It really isn't that well known. I'm just going to give it a rest, maybe another time. Epicawesomewolf (talk) 22:15, 12 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

For future reference, we do not capitalize section headings beyond the first letter and require proper spelling and grammar in our articles, per our manual of style. I've cleaned up your KeRanger article for you, so you don't have to do anything more, other than being mindful of this for future edits.--Jasper Deng (talk) 08:56, 20 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

A tag has been placed on Dogetipbot requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
