Hi
Just FYI, I mentioned you user talk page at WP:AN#Indefinitely semi-protected user talk pages since it's one of a great number of indef semi protected user talk pages. I'm explicitly not complaining or reporting, yours just happened to be one that I used as an example, since it's in principle against WP:SEMI.

Your reversion of my rant from 24.xx
Granted, I did open up the window for that message to be removed from the IP's talk page, but I was still surprised to only find out that it WAS removed when I went down my watchlist a couple hours later. (Frankly, his response on my talkpage pretty much showed that he continues not to get it. I wish I didn't care about my sysop bit, because that's the sort of user that BEGS to be blocked.) Please, even if I put the idea out there, could you just drop me a note to let me know you've actually DONE it? Thanks... GJC 03:42, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry about that. I should've posted at your talk. Enigma message 04:31, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
- No harm--and definitely no need to have done it first, as I'd left an open invite on AN/I--but thanks! GJC 06:18, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
Today is "Just Because" day
And it is tradition to give hugs and cookies "just because". Ariel♥Gold 04:34, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
What's up with redirecting to their user page? I only ask because I'm getting emails from them every couple of days, firstly under the misunderstanding that I had super sekrit admin powers (because I keep flagging his socks) and could unblock him. I've been trying to encourage him to request a proper unblock; but of course now you've redirected his talk page I doubt the user will understand that, let alone how to request an unblock properly. --Blowdart | talk 06:46, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
- That's the traditional way of dealing with sockpuppeteers. Enigma message 06:49, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
- shrug* Well fair enough; but I dunno; I don't think they're doing it in bad faith, but rather due to a complete misunderstanding and a poor command of English which doesn't help them in realising what's happening here. Any suggestions on how to respond to their next email? --Blowdart | talk 06:53, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
- This user has requested an unblock several times and been denied each time. Its primary user page was already deleted once due to it belonging to an indefinitely blocked editor, but he recreated it recently. I generally ignore e-mails coming from these kinds of users. Reforming this editor has been tried in the past and has proven to be futile, unfortunately. Enigma message 06:55, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
- I'll try to keep my guilt under control then when I bin the messages. --Blowdart | talk 06:58, 17 November 2008 (UTC)

As in right here :-D . He is so much more blocked it's almost hilarious. If he even attempts to edit anything ever again... no matter what account he tries to use or create... he is toast :-D . The Real Libs-speak politely 22:18, 17 November 2008 (UTC)

I noticed your discussion in passing. You probably all ready noticed this and this. For what it's worth, this script is handy, and will take care of that situation by highlighting the names. Template issues
Should be fixed now, thanks to User talk:Skier Dude. :-) They were caused by a recent edit to Template:GA/Topic and possibly also Template:GA-Class. It may, however, take a while for the website cache to update. Good to hear from you! --Iamunknown 07:28, 23 November 2008 (UTC)

Invitation for comment
Hello Enigmaman, I currently have a workpage up for a detailed ANI that I intend to file reporting csloat for disruptive editing. The first incident that I am citing is one that I was not involved in; it pertains to a page protection that was applied a little over a month ago on the John McCain presidential campaign, 2008 article. This is the first of several incidents that I will report, so this is a work in progress. Since you were more involved in this one, I was wondering if you could review my current write up for this section and provide any commentary if you have the time. The workpage is tongue-in-cheekly named User:Amwestover/Swiftboating#First_incident. Any comments or input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! --Amwestover (talk|contrib) 02:30, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
Hey, could you please explain this revert (or edit) by User:EnigmaBot? I have reverted it for now, but if there's a valid reason, an explanation would be greatly appreciated. (Edit summary only said "back".) Thanks, umrguy42 19:52, 5 December 2008 (UTC)
- It was restoring the last good version of the page. Notice what content was removed. Other than adding a Missouri template, the rest of the content added is of detrimental value to the article. Enigma message 19:55, 5 December 2008 (UTC)
- Okay, no problem. Was mainly concerned in that the original edit simply reverted instead of removing information, leaving in unformatted school names and such. Also, if you happen to have a link to those articles you mention with the lists of schools in it, would appreciate if you could put it in the article, or pass 'em on to me, and I'll see about doing it. Thanks! umrguy42 20:11, 5 December 2008 (UTC)
- Linked from the article. There's also a template, rendering a list of high schools in the main city article unnecessary. Have a good weekend, Enigma message 20:15, 5 December 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for re-adding the tag. Just curious, but what does adding that tag within the article do? Enigma message 20:17, 5 December 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the link! As far as the tag, I'm not sure, User:Stifle placed it originally, I figured it was better to re-add if they're discussing possible deletion of the image. umrguy42 20:19, 5 December 2008 (UTC)
Hey, I've removed your speedy tag from this article; WP:NONSENSE specifically excludes text written in a foreign language from its domain.Ironholds (talk) 20:21, 5 December 2008 (UTC)
- So what do you suggest be done? Enigma message 20:24, 5 December 2008 (UTC)
- Normal procedure would be to work out what language it is in (google says swedish) and hock it over to someone at Wikipedia:Translation (it is designed for translations directly from foreign wiki's, but the point is it is the fastest way to find someone who speaks swedish). In reality it'll probably turn out to be something iffy anyway, but it is always best to be on the safe side. Ironholds (talk) 20:27, 5 December 2008 (UTC)
- Blegh, contribution history says none are online (or at least have contributed recently). I've dropped a talkpage message to the most recently active user. Ironholds (talk) 20:32, 5 December 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the help. Have a good weekend, Enigma message 20:49, 5 December 2008 (UTC)

Copyedit request`
Hi there Enigmaman, noticed you at the Guild of Copy Editors and saw you primarily focus on copyediting sport articles. I was wondering if you could perhaps have a look at Stadium of Light, its not too big of an article either and could do with brushing the prose up a bit, as I'm not the best of writers. Cheers mate. AfC news
Dear AfC participant,
- Msgj and Tnxman307 are organising the AfC challenge! It's a little competition to help improve some of the articles created through AfC and we are hoping that everyone will get involved. For level 1, you just need to bring a stub up to Start-class. Level 2 is improving a Start-class article to C-class. And so on. To get involved or for more information please see the competition page.
- Those of you who haven't reviewed an article recently might not have noticed the new process that was implemented this year. Reviewing articles is now more enjoyable than ever :) You might like to give it a try. All articles waiting for review are in Category:Pending Afc requests. (Please read the updated instructions.)
- Please consider adding {{AFC status}} to your userpage to keep track of the number of articles waiting for review. At the time of writing we are officially backlogged, so help is needed!
- There is currently a proposal to bring the Images for upload process under the umbrella of WikiProject Articles for creation. The rationale is that both processes are designed to allow unregistered users to take part more fully in Wikipedia, and partipants in each process can probably help each other.
If you no longer wish to receive messages from WikiProject Articles for creation, please remove your name from this list. Thank you.
Elijah Dukes
Hi, please don't revert my changes to the Elijah Dukes entry again. it was vastly outdated when it came to the images, and the Nationals 2008 season was too brief and vague in detail, so I updated it. I believe that you should have current pictures of players on their articles, rather than having images from their former teams.
so I did that.
it's not vandalism, it's a Nationals fan updating his team's wiki pages. JMWhiteIV (talk) 23:15, 13 December 2008 (UTC)

CC Sabathia
Hey guy, I think it is perfectly relevant to point out that the guy walked 22 batters in 25 post season innings. It's pretty remarkable considering how great he is during the regular season. Also, his 2004 All-Star performance does no good to anyone when it is ignored. Faethon Ghost (talk) 05:46, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
- We do not create separate sections to talk about how a player did in All Star games. I don't know how to explain it properly, but it's simply not done. Enigma message 06:32, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
Also, you should correct your userpage as Washington DC is obviously not a state you have ever set foot in. Faethon Ghost (talk) 05:50, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for your support
Not so well on the exams, I'm afraid, but the ranking on the elections is humbling. I didn't expect so much support. I will work hard to ensure that it was well-placed. Cool Hand Luke 18:45, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

Please stop referring to my edits as vandalism!
Hello, Enigmaman. I noticed you referred to two of my edits as vandalism here. This upsets me greatly and if I do not receive a prompt apology, I'm going to start complaining about you. Be warned! Enigma message 21:37, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

Guess who's back?
Check out this latest vandalism to my userpage. Then check out the IP's edit history, then do a WHOIS lookup.
Looks to me like our long-gone friend SeanCarlin is finally back. I will be taking this to SSP, as well as notifying UMD (even though he's clearly not using the university's servers anymore; from what I know, they are still considering disciplinary sanctions against him). Hi - I received a message from you regarding external links. I was just adding them for profiles, reviews, and interviews we've done of different artists. I think they are a valid resource of information related to the artists profile page. 24.184.155.190
Can you explain your reverts of 24.184.155.190 (talk · contribs)? A lot of them appear to be inappropriate: this removed wikification, as did this (which I see you self-reverted). Here's another example. There was a lot of clean up done, but you reverted it. So, why exactly are you reverting this user, and using a rollback tool to do so? either way (talk) 12:41, 25 December 2008 (UTC)
- That IP appears to be a vandal. I'd say they were generally decent reverts. The occasionally mistake is to be expected though, right? Assuming good faith and all that milarkey :-) Merry Christmas! ScarianCall me Pat! 13:51, 25 December 2008 (UTC)
- The edits were mostly garbage. Even the wikilinking was done incorrectly. I reverted because it's a repeat vandal, until I noticed that not all the edits were out and out vandalism. I'm going to go clean up after the IP later today. Merry XMas Metros, Enigma message 17:16, 25 December 2008 (UTC)

Metal Gear archiving
Hi, I'd like to clarify the way you did the archiving. When I said you have it archived, I meant everything up to a certain point. What you deleted before archiving everything up to "Unofficial sites" was a part of the talk page, particularly the listings about how the MG games should be organised. No matter how esoteric or nonsensical some of the threads may be, it doesn't give you the leeway to just erase them. I wouldn't erase those I started just because they were blown out of proportion or for any other reason. That's why talk pages are worth recording and stored. I've redone the archiving and included those you deleted. Thank you for your consideration and Merry Christmas. --Eaglestorm (talk) 17:14, 25 December 2008 (UTC)
- I archived it like you requested. As for "material I don't like", what I did was remove a blatant personal attack which doesn't belong on the talk page. Enigma message 17:16, 25 December 2008 (UTC)

Hey Enigmaman, I just wanted to let you know I put a prod on Hwa-tung Line, which you were involved in the cleanup for.
