Welcome

[edit]

Hello, Emgreene, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your edits to the page Electric motorcycles and scooters have not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may be removed if they have not yet been. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles. As well, all new biographies of living people must contain at least one reliable source.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to the new contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Electric motorcycles and scooters, please cite a reliable source for your addition. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. NY State Laws and Electric Motorcycles and Scooters

[edit]

Your recent addition to the "disadvantages" section of the Electric motorcycles and scooters article is not accurate. If you read the link you are posting as a reference, you will see that the scooters refered to in the link are stand-up scooters that can be powered by electric motors or internal combustion engines. The electric scooters and motorcycles discussed in the article can be registered under New York state law, as long as they meet the requirements set up for scooters and motorcycles. Feel free to contact me with any questions on this subject. Thanks! Ebikeguy (talk) 22:47, 3 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Electric motorcycles and scooters. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Biker Biker (talk) 22:56, 3 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Three editors believe you to be wrong in adding information about New York, yet you persist in re-adding it to the article. Please feel free to discuss on the article's talk page, but do not add it to the article again. --Biker Biker (talk) 22:58, 3 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
