Copying within Wikipedia requires proper attribution
[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from List of best-selling music artists into List of best-selling Latin music aritsts. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was moved, attribution is not required. Attribution is required as well for material you copy from other-langiage wikis. Also, you'd better go back and repair the citations, as the templates you are using do not exist on this wiki. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 15:27, 30 March 2018 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for May 7
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of best-selling Latin singles in the United States, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Maluma (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

List of Billboard Hot 100 number-ones by Latin artists moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, List of Billboard Hot 100 number-ones by Latin artists, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please follow the prompts on the Articles for Creation template atop the page. ... discospinster talk 19:40, 12 July 2018 (UTC)

Talk:List of best-selling music artists
[edit]Fist, you need to sign your posts. Second, avoid re-posting inquiries about the same artists you've once been replied for, that's disruptive.--Harout72 (talk) 16:32, 7 August 2018 (UTC)

Spanish references
[edit]Please note that when you copy references from one Wikipedia to another, you need to do two things. 1) note in the edit summary or on the talk page where the copying has come from, if you're also copying content. See Diannaa's note about that above. 2) Correct the references to use the syntax for the English Wikipedia. You can see all the errors in red at the bottom of List of best-selling Latin music artists. It was worse before but someone fixed it, which should show you how to do the same. Please don't leave these errors. People will eventually fix them for you, but it's far better if you clean it up for yourself. › Mortee talk 13:18, 21 August 2018 (UTC)
- Thank you for making a start on these. I noticed you'd corrected some, and I appreciate it. I've patched the rest by changing "cita web" to {{citar web}}, which is a version of {{cite web}} that supports the Spanish parameters. Using the translated parameters would be even better, but this works for now. Thanks again. › Mortee talk 19:54, 23 August 2018 (UTC)

New Zealand album certifications for girl groups
[edit]Please could you provide sources for the certifications for girl group albums in New Zealand - all you have done is quote the website of Recorded Music NZ, which doesn't have the certifications on it. If they aren't sourced properly, they will have to be deleted. Thank you. Richard3120 (talk) 20:50, 22 March 2019 (UTC)
Best-selling girl group singles again
[edit]The problem with your attempts to classify the worldwide sales is that certifications don't tell you everything. UK certifications are for shipments, not sales – this is also true for many other countries. Fifth Harmony's "Work from Home" has allegedly sold 11 million, but these "sales" are mostly streams... and there's no official source to prove it. Baccara's "Yes Sir I Can Boogie" has supposedly sold 18 million according to one published source. Richard3120 (talk) 15:49, 29 March 2019 (UTC)
Best-selling girl group singles... again
[edit]Your new table is misleading and completely inaccurate... what about all the singles that have sold over a million copies in the US alone? Are you going to add them to the table? Richard3120 (talk) 12:52, 9 April 2019 (UTC)
