Multiple linking
Hi, I notice that you are editing in wikilinks into several articles. While this is a good thing when a link is not there, generaly the style-sheet asks that the term or word is linked only once (when it appears the first time) and then not again there after. Thanks --DV8 2XL 16:09, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
Featured Status!
Hi,
Our first task should be to get the Pakistan article to the featured status. Then we can work on the Pakistan Portal and related articles. Keeping Pakistan portal alive will be a nice thing, infact it's the only country in south asia with a lame portal.
I am in Helsinki(Finland) these days doing my MS from HUT.
--digitalSurgeon 08:27, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
- Hi, i diagree with you Helsinki, i think the portal should be in line with the other portals. It needs to be continually updated with news, images and articles... Also, we need to update this page too, it has not been used for sometime but i feel it will be useful guideline for Pakistan district articles; Wikipedia:WikiProject Pakistani districts

New templates for Wikipedians
W'Sallam,
We need some more templates to be used for people who will be editing Pakistani articles, take a look at the following templates on the Indian Wiki board, if possible can you make some for the Pakistan Wikipedians.
Here the link; Template Section
We need templates of the following if you can create them; The first four, instead of NRI we need one for expat-Pakistani (i.e. Pakistani living abroad) and the last one (British-Pakistani) and (American-Pakistani)
For table formating i think digitalSurgeon has more of an understanding about it than me. Im not sure about table formating. You may want to ask him just in case im not sure.
Many thanks Fast track 07:20 23 March 2006 (UTC)
- Hi, I noticed you've created a few templates for use on Portal:Pakistan. I would advise against creating templates unless they will be used on several pages because it is simply uneconomical. Green Giant 20:32, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
Join the Wiki Pakistan Project!

CSD tagging
I couldn't help but notice that you tagged Sabri Hamiti as spam. However, the article was clearly blatant vandalism, as the article consisted of nothing but "hhahhahhaa", which is a common type of vandalism. You might want to review the speedy deletion criteria here. Thanks. The thing that should not be 08:36, 17 November 2009 (UTC)

MfD nomination of User:Taqi Haider/vector.js
User:Taqi Haider/vector.js, a page you substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Taqi Haider/vector.js and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of User:Taqi Haider/vector.js during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Speedy deletion declined: Ukhimath
Hello Taqi Haider, and thanks for your work patrolling new changes. I am just informing you that I declined the speedy deletion of Ukhimath - a page you tagged - because: There is sufficient context to identify the subject of the article. Please review the criteria for speedy deletion before tagging further pages. If you have any questions or problems, please let me know. Skomorokh, barbarian 08:30, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
- Before tagging the article contained insufficient information about the topic this only information available was
Ukhimath at an elevation of 1311 Mts and at a distance of 41 Kms from Rudraprayag. During the winters, the idols from Kedarnath temple are brought to Ukhimath and worshiped over here.
However you have edited the article and added a stub template and enough information that makes the page understandable to some extent, I would advise you to add more to the article in question to make it more informative and up-to wikipedia standards, thanks.Taqi Haider (talk) 08:39, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
- Hello Taqi; there was enough context in the article to tell that the subject was a location in India; all it took was a few seconds of searching on Google to find the type of location. In future, you might read the speedy deletion criteria before tagging articles, as mistakes like this are easy to make. Regards, Skomorokh, barbarian 08:46, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
Melby, Norway
I removed the speedy tag that you added to Melby, Norway. The consensus is that towns and villages are inherently notable, are are therefore not eligible for speedy deletion under {{csd-a7}}. -- Eastmain (talk) 15:31, 17 November 2009 (UTC)

- I will go through the CSD one more time, there was confusion regarding Silver Lake, Illinois, the article stated that it was a small housing scheme inside a city, town or village and not a city, town or village itself, therefore CSD under {{csd-a7}} was applicable, however I'm sorry for my mistake the all the trouble that it may have caused Taqi Haider (talk) 05:54, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
- Taqi, it said "unincorporated community"--which is an area that is not part of any municipality. You may be thinking of the statement about a community contained within it. Either way, neither of these things are corporations; they are geographical entities. Thanks, Drmies (talk) 15:58, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
- I have started more careful tagging, the new measures include a google search on the topic and a confirmation that the place mentioned in the article exists, the article has enough sufficient content to justify itself as an article.Taqi Haider (talk) 17:00, 18 November 2009 (UTC)

No problems, Taqi Haider (talk) 19:31, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
Hi, you might have more experience than me so I thought I'd ask. I tagged the article as non-notable because it was a student-run radio program, is that considered notable enough?
(Also, I just realized that I've been pointedly ignoring the message on my userpage.) A little insignificant Giving thanks to all that is me 13:05, 20 November 2009 (UTC)

and no I do not have more experience then you or anyone else, I think you should check out WP:CSD for further information.

Tagging of Uncertain Set Theory
I recently removed a speedy delete tag that you had placed on Uncertain Set Theory. I do not think that Uncertain Set Theory fits any of the speedy deletion criteria because it doesn't appear to be a hoax. There may well be other problems with this stub and the many others generated by the same author, and I intend to watch them.. I request that you consider not re-tagging Uncertain Set Theory for speedy deletion without discussing the matter on the appropriate talk page. You are, of course, free to tag the article with {{prod}} or nominate it at WP:AFD. Favonian (talk) 17:00, 21 November 2009 (UTC)
- It was certainly a hoax when I read the article because it said "the theory was proposed in 2010", and since we are living in the good war loving and wreaked year 2009 therefore the article qualified as a hoax.Taqi Haider (talk) 17:06, 21 November 2009 (UTC)
- Putting on my AGF halo, I would call it a bit of crystal balling. Premature advertisement might be a less charitable phrase. He has generated quite a sub-culture of articles, complete with its own Category:Uncertainty theory. The last word has not been spoken. Favonian (talk) 17:10, 21 November 2009 (UTC)
- Actually I think all the articles in the category need are not needed, just one article with the basic definition of all the theories would suffice(seeing that all the articles only contain the basic definition, individual pages for each thoery with only two lines simply do not qualify as articles, therefore they should be deleted.Taqi Haider (talk) 17:17, 21 November 2009 (UTC)
I've afd'd the whole lot. See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Uncertainty theory andy (talk) 23:47, 21 November 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of User:Taqi Haider/QuiFriends
Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Taqi Haider (talk) 18:37, 23 November 2009 (UTC)
Hi
Please be careful to not bite the newbies. On page - User talk:Adamw2k you have left a number of notices which may confuse him including nominating an article for AFD which was already up for CSD. Thanks. 7 05:58, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
- Hello 7 , I hope you are doing well, I had no intention to bite User:Adamw2k, however the speedy deletion of Engreet is contested and therefore to remove the page from wikipedia an AFD discussion is necessary in my opinion, the article is obviously not notable and therefore meets the criteria for deletion. Taqi Haider (talk) 06:03, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for the reply. A hangon tag was added by the original author - but an admin still needs to review. The possibility of speedy deletion is not over until the CSD tag is removed from the page completely (and the hangon tag). Can I suggest you close your AFD pending the admin review of the speedy. Thanks. 7 06:05, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
- Will do, btw I posted a formal apology on User talk:Adamw2k, let me know if I do anything stupid. Have Fun
Taqi Haider (talk) 06:11, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
- Thank you - you didn't do anything stupid, and there are a million rules to learn, but it just seemed like we might be inundating this user a bit. Thanks for understanding. 7 06:12, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
- No problem. Taqi Haider (talk) 06:14, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for blanking the AFD nomination. However just a few housekeeping notes - per WP:DPR#AFD we can't simply blank it but need to close it out. In this case I have closed the AFD as "nominator withdrew". We also then need to remove the AFD tags from the article page. I have done that for both pages in this case. Calvisius
I think you have confused the purpose of Calvisius, a developing article on ancient Roman prosopography, with Calvisius (disambiguation), which straightforwardly disambiguates the Roman gens name from the 16th-century German music theorist Sethus Calvisius. A discussion has begun about whether the article Sun Way Flight 4412, which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.

You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 19:09, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

- Taqi, you are fairly new to AFD, aren't you? There is no need to canvass editors who you thing may support your POV over the notability of the article. A neutral notice that the article is at AFD has been posted at WT:AV. I note that the article also comes under WP:Karachi, so will let that WP know. All we can do is to present our reasons as to why the accident is notable enough to be included on Wikipedia and allow other editors to present their opinions on the article. In the meantime, let's keep improving the article. The better shape it is in, the more likely that it can be saved. Mjroots (talk) 09:03, 29 November 2010 (UTC)

- Suggest you read WP:CANVASS so that you don't make the same mistake in the future. The way to inform people of an AFD discussion is via a neutral notice at relevant Wikiprojects (i.e. those identified on the article's talk page). Of course, such a notice is not a guarantee that people will !vote in the way that you have. Most WP members are pretty good at deciding whether or not an article is notable though. Hello Elminster, I just review Karachi for GA. The writing is great, however, as for the sourcing, I am thinking in the opposite direction. You see, there are is a large amount of the article unsourced (probably almost 50%). I am not doing a quick fail because the writing is good (one minor qualm), and because I will be done for over a week and will likely not be able to pass/fail until I get back. Anyway, you can read my review here. Regards, --12george1 (talk) 02:51, 9 June 2011 (UTC)

New deal for page patrollers
Hi Elminster Aumar,
In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.
Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.
Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:28, 13 November 2016 (UTC)
RC Patrol-related Proposals in the 2016 Community Wishlist Survey
Greetings Recent Changes Patrollers!
This is a one-time-only message to inform you about technical proposals related to Recent Changes Patrol in the 2016 Community Wishlist Survey that I think you may be interested in reviewing and perhaps even voting for:
- Adjust number of entries and days at Last unpatrolled
- Editor-focused central editing dashboard
- "Hide trusted users" checkbox option on watchlists and related/recent changes (RC) pages
- Real-Time Recent Changes App for Android
- Shortcut for patrollers to last changes list
Further, there are more than 20 proposals related to Watchlists in general that you may be interested in reviewing. (and over 260 proposals in all, across many aspects of wikis)
Thank you for your consideration. Please note that voting for proposals continues through December 12, 2016.
Note: You received this message because you have transcluded {{User wikipedia/RC Patrol}} (user box) on your user page. Since this message is "one-time-only" there is no opt out for future mailings.
Best regards, Stevietheman — Delivered: 01:11, 8 December 2016 (UTC)

Bazaar Technologies moved to draftspace
An article you recently created, Bazaar Technologies, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Nomination of Bazaar Technologies for deletion
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bazaar Technologies until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article.
