Following advice

[edit]

You were advised that, as an intern at Cedar Campus, you have a conflict of interest regarding the subject, and should not be the person to write the article. Your messages to GB fan (talk · contribs) indicate that you are being asked by your employer (Cedar Campus) to create a Wikipedia page for them that is to their liking. That isn't how Wikipedia works. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, written in neutral terms about subjects that are notable enough to have received significant independent coverage in reliable sources. (This latter requirement is to assure the availability of sources from which to verify the content of the article.) You have written an article that does not indicate the notability of the organization, and is written very much as an advertisement for the organization, which is why it will likely be deleted. If Cedar Campus absolutely feels the need for a Wikipedia page, then you might make a posting at Wikipedia:Requested Articles, and see if an uninvolved editor takes up the cause. I have deleted Cedar Campus again. THis time because I found that you have copied http://cedar.intervarsity.org/history into the article you created. You can not copy and paste information from other websites into articles. That is a copyright violation and Wikipedia is very strict about that. If you do it again you may be blocked. Final warning, if you copy and paste from other websites again, I will block you. I have now deleted Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Cedar Campus because I found the exact wording on the page here and here. GB fan 21:55, 8 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
