Question

[edit]

I noticed that on Kingdom of Kush you insist that Sudan be listed before Egypt. When I reverted and explained that the logical order would be alphabetical, you repeated your edit. Apart from the fact that if you edit is reverted with an explanation, the right thing to do is to explain yourself on the talkpage, I wanted to ask why you prefer to have Sudan before Egypt? This seems to be a minor point, but nevertheless you insist to change the standing version. Debresser (talk) 13:54, 4 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It is logical to Follow the Alphabetical order but my point was to indicate the region were the civilization capital was? and its capital city was Napta and Karma which are in the Sudan region, i've seen that you also insisted to place Egypt above Sudan which is ok! but i think the origin should be placed on top Elkhair Arif (talk).
Okay, I can live with that logic. I, however, wanted to make sure it wasn't just because of some nationalistic feelings. Thanks for your reply, and pleasant editing! Debresser (talk) 13:01, 5 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you!

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Sudanese Armed Forces, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page F-5. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Explanation

[edit]

Greetings, i've seen that you deleted the photos that i uploaded to Sudan Airforce page which suppose to help in updating the article. As i mentioned the photos are not under protection and they are available for public that's why it doesn't deserve that protection instead they are been taken to update the image of the Sudanese Air forces. Elkhair Arif (talk) 19:55, 9 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I removed them for a few reasons.

1. The images that you posted are not free to use since many of them have the name of the photographer's name watermarked on the image. 2. Even if these photos were free to use, you cannot say that they are your own works. It is up to the up-loader to prove that the photos are theirs by the data gathered from each photo or add the correct copyright license. That is why i removed the photos that you added. Also once these images get deleted, there will be just broken images in their place. So it is easier just to remove them now.

Alright, Then i just need to upload my own photos?, if i got the premission to publish them what steps should i do ?
You would need to know what kind of licence the original photographer used. Some websites use like this one will have a link that states what type is being use and how. Then you could use it like so. I do not know enough about this topic myself to give a how guide. That is why I just upload photos that I have taken myself.

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Khatim-2.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 11:40, 27 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article AL-BASHIR has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unsourced and nonsensical article about a Sudanese tank. Article is badly formatted and there are no sources out there indicating if the tank is real or not. Creator had all of his uploads on Commons nuked for copyvios.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
