Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Eliyr. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Lam Yi Young, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Justanothersgwikieditor (talk) 10:09, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
- @Eliyr: Hi there, I will appreciate if you can declare if there is any conflict of interest between you and Lam Yi Young as defined in WP:COI. --Justanothersgwikieditor (talk) 02:19, 3 December 2020 (UTC)
- @Justanothersgwikieditor: Hi there, sorry for the late reply. There is no conflict of interest between myself and Lam Yi Young. Thanks! Eliyr (talk) 12:07, 6 December 2020 (UTC)

Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Eliyr. - @Robertsky: Hi there, I do not have a conflict of interest with the Singapore Business Federation. I chose to write that article after noticing its absence when expanding the article Lam Yi Young Eliyr (talk) 00:30, 9 December 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made: you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thanks for reverting vandalism! Have a good day. Tera Capital
[edit]Hi,
I absolutely see no reason why my previous edits have been reverted to other versions. The sources I provided are from reputable 3rd party sources about the company. Dillionaire233 (talk) 14:12, 29 December 2020 (UTC)
- @Dillionaire233: Hi there, your edits were reverted by Gwennie-nyan (talk · contribs) and I cannot say for sure why they reverted your changes. Perhaps you could try contacting them on their talk page. Cheers! Eliyr (talk) 14:38, 29 December 2020 (UTC)
- @Dillionaire233 and Eliyr:, primarily when I was doing WP:RCP, I reverted this after it was flagged by ORES as an edit likely to have problems. After looking it over, it seems like a lot of content was removed without giving explanation as to why. Additionally, the single-use of this account to edit Tera Capital seemed suspect as well, given the large content removal without explanation. ~Gwennie🐈⦅💬 📋⦆ 14:58, 29 December 2020 (UTC)
