A tag has been placed on Riverport Riot, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.

If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Ruthentiger (talk) 18:21, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Edit Summary Request

[edit]

I have noted that you edit without an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This is considered an important guideline in Wikipedia. Even a short summary is better than no summary. An edit summary is even more important if you delete any text; otherwise, people may think you're being sneaky or even vandalizing. Also, mentioning one change but not another one can be misleading to someone who finds the other one more important; add "and misc." to cover the other change(s). Thanks! -- Kukini 00:19, 11 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I saw you recently voted at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sabita Banerjee, but your comment makes it sound like you intended for it to go on a different AfD. Is this the case?--Cúchullain t/c 02:48, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

MSNBC is wrong. There's only one Virginia town, as you can see by clicking the above two links, and it's spelled CenTREville. THF 14:50, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wiki is wrong. There are definitely two towns. I've been to both. Elambeth 15:02, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just a couple notes regarding the article that I hope might help out in the future:

1) Make sure you decapitalize the second word (and third, and fourth, and etc. unless it's a proper noun) of a section header. For example in America at a Crossroads, the sections should read "Episode list" and "Subject matter" not "Episode List" and "Subject Matter."

2) Make sure you italicize the titles of movies, books, publications, or — in this case — a miniseries (i.e., it should read America at a Crossroads not America at a Crossroads). You can create italics with two apostrophes (e.g., ''text'' will appear as text).

3) It's not too important, but if you get the chance always at categories to your article. For example an appropriate category for America at a Crossroads is Category:PBS network shows.

It's a great start to an article! I hope this information helps and let me know if you have any questions!

Green (album)

[edit]

Hi, I noticed you re-added the information about the green/orange artwork for the album cover. Sorry I deleted it before, I didn't know that's why they decided to make the album orange. It's an interesting bit of information, I was wondering where you found it. I only have one book on the band and am going to try to add some info to the other album pages. Most of the pages are rather short and could use some work, if you have a good source of information would you like to help out? Sbacle 02:57, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image without license

Unspecified source/license for Image:Ordertocash-1.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Ordertocash-1.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 16:06, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Hennessey Performance Engineering, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Hello, Elambeth. You have new messages at Martijn Hoekstra's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

Thanks for contributing. But you gave no information about the source of this image. It looks suspiciously like a grab of Google Maps in terrain mode (for example). All of Google Maps' content is copyrighted, even when it comes through another site using the Google API. In no sense is it public domain as you have indicated. I see this is not the first message you've received concerning copyright problems. Your licit contributions are valued, but please educate yourself about copyright issues and follow the guidelines. A good starting point is Wikipedia:Copyrights, particularly the part about contributors' obligations a page or two into it. Thanks again for wanting to contribute. --Kbh3rdtalk 02:03, 27 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy Delete of Endless Pools

[edit]

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Endless Pools, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of Endless Pools and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. ASPENSTITALKCONTRIBUTIONS 12:33, 30 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:TexasSenateDistricts.gif

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:TexasSenateDistricts.gif. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on The Art of Shaving requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
