Vendor directories
[edit]I have no suggestion about vendor directories. Wikipedia is just an encyclopedia, it's not the yellow pages or a purchasing resource guide. No ads. --KMLP (talk) 06:56, 12 October 2010 (UTC)
Use common sense, and just delete truly inappropriate text in the other article, don't hold it up as an example to why your inappropriate additions should be allowed; and that's what good editors will tell you: other stuff being awful means other stuff should be deleted, not that your stuff should be allowed. --KMLP (talk) 16:59, 12 October 2010 (UTC)

Rushbugled13 (talk) 21:03, 11 November 2012 (UTC)Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. [edit]Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Live single-cell imaging. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. [1] MrOllie (talk) 17:12, 25 September 2020 (UTC)
