GOCE July 2010 backlog elimination drive chart

Greetings from the Guild of Copy Editors Backlog Elimination Drive! We have now passed the halfway point, so here's an update.

Progress Report - Progress toward the targets has been good. 751 articles out of the approximately 1,600 we would like to get completed by the end of the month were done by July 15, so we will be very close to meeting the target for volume. However, we would like to clear all of the 2008 articles from the backlog, and there are still 892 left to do. Please consider choosing one of these older articles when looking for something to copy edit. If we focus our firepower we can completely wipe out 2008 from the queue.

Participation Report - 95 people signed up for the July drive. This is a great result compared to May, when we had 36. However, in May only one person that signed up didn't do any copy edits, and in July only 59 of the 95 have posted any copy edits on the big board.

The task may seem insurmountable but please remember that if all 95 participants copy edit just one article a day from now until the end of the month, we will eliminate 1,300 more articles from the backlog. So please consider participating at whatever level you can! All contributions are appreciated.

This newsletter was prepared for the GOCE by Diannaa (Talk), S Masters (talk), and The Raptor Let's talk.

Hi Dodo, please use the "AWB-Option -> Do not use section edit summaries" as it will only enlarge the summary. --Schlurcher (talk) 16:02, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

Okay, will do. Thanks for tip, I wasn't aware of that option. - EdoDodo talk 16:26, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

MessageDeliveryBot trial run

The next GOCE newsletter will probably need to be sent out at the end of this month. Do you think you could wait that long to test your bot, or does it need to be tested now? The Raptor Let's talk/My mistakes; I mean, er, contributions 16:36, 22 July 2010 (UTC)

I could wait that long. It was approved for trial with a note saying that I could take the time I needed for the testing, because the fact that it uses a web interface is somewhat atypical. Feel free to submit the request here whenever you want :). - EdoDodo talk 16:47, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
I followed the link but I got a page that said "Page not found (404)". The Raptor Let's talk/My mistakes; I mean, er, contributions 16:49, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
Whoops. Meant to link this (it's on the user page as well). - EdoDodo talk 16:51, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
If you don't mind I would like to talk this through with the Guild of Copy Editors before putting in a request. The organizer of the drives, Noraft, normally uses AutoWikiBrowser to deliver the newsletters. Last time, though, he was called up on a 24-hour thing so I had to deliver the newsletters, and since I don't know how to use AWB, I delivered them manually. So I'll talk to the Guild about this and see what they think. The Raptor Let's talk/My mistakes; I mean, er, contributions 16:58, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
Sounds good. - EdoDodo talk 16:59, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
They're really liking it. I think we're going to give it a try. Unfortunately, though, I won't be able to put in a request today, since I'm heading home from my vacation and I'm only going to be on for a couple more minutes. The Raptor Let's talk/My mistakes; I mean, er, contributions 15:33, 25 July 2010 (UTC)
Okay, well no worries, feel free to submit it whenever you want :). By the way, I'm going on vacation too soon, so if I'm not around to approve the request, you can ask one of the other approved users to do it (I should have Internet connection where I'm going, so should be able to come on at least a few times a day, but you never know). - EdoDodo talk 15:38, 25 July 2010 (UTC)
I'm about ready to leave, so I'll send in a request when I get back, either tonight or tomorrow. The Raptor Let's talk/My mistakes; I mean, er, contributions 15:40, 25 July 2010 (UTC)
Sounds good. - EdoDodo talk 15:43, 25 July 2010 (UTC)
I'm back. I tried to send a request, but then I saw a box that said I needed to put the delivery message in it. I can't do that until the message is developed, and it won't be developed until the end of the drive. I'll send in a request as soon as the newsletter has been developed. The Raptor Let's talk/My mistakes; I mean, er, contributions 22:17, 25 July 2010 (UTC)
Okay. - EdoDodo talk 07:26, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Bots/Requests for approval/DodoBot 2

Hi! How long should I wait until making this request again? Is there anything I need to do to prepare for a second time? Should I talk to the dissenting user's/suers' talk page(s) and inquire further about it? WhisperToMe (talk) 23:45, 25 July 2010 (UTC)

Hi there. Yes, I suggest you start discussing it with other users to see if there is consensus for it. For a bot task to run there has to be fairly strong consensus, and at the previous discussion I didn't see that, which is why I withdrew the BRFA. Perhaps you could start a village pump discussion, or a RFC to establish consensus. Once there is a clear consensus just drop me a message here linking the discussions, and I'll be happy to give it another try and open a new BRFA. - EdoDodo talk 07:18, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

I archived you requests and bot status was granted already. So just start operations :-) --EugeneZelenko (talk) 15:11, 31 July 2010 (UTC)

Awesome, thanks. - EdoDodo talk 16:33, 31 July 2010 (UTC)

wtf

How did you get a toolserver account so fast? Lol! It took me months. Can you approve me and maybe give me ability to approve as well? I've got some once-in-a-while message delivery tasks I might offload onto the new bot. –xenotalk 16:41, 22 July 2010 (UTC)

Heh, constantly annoying people on IRC works apparently :). I've approved you, and given you the ability to approve other users. Please be careful :). - EdoDodo talk 16:47, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
Ah. Well pro-active is the way to be, I guess. (My strategy just involved bugging MZMcBride on-wiki for SQL queries in hopes that he would poke someone on IRC to action my request just to get rid of me =)
Will do. Thanks, –xenotalk 16:52, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
You're welcome, happy editing. - EdoDodo talk 16:57, 22 July 2010 (UTC)

Wikipedians are notoriously impatient (or at least, I am =); have you considered running the bot four times daily as opposed to once? –xenotalk 12:48, 29 July 2010 (UTC)

Hmm, yes, perhaps that would be better. I'll bring it up at the BRFA. Anyway, I am going to run your request now, so I can keep an eye on the bot since it's still in trial (I won't be around when it runs if I leave it to run as scheduled). - EdoDodo talk 16:40, 29 July 2010 (UTC)

I have a question about the bot. Will transclusion work? Like, if I put {{Wikipedia:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors/Backlog elimination drives/July 2010/Newsletter 8-1}} in the message box, it will work, right? The Raptor You rang?/My mistakes; I mean, er, contributions 17:05, 1 August 2010 (UTC)

GOCE Backlog Elimination Drive Wrap-up

Greetings from the Guild of Copy Editors July 2010 Backlog Elimination Drive. Thanks to all who participated in the drive! Over 100 editors—including Jimbo Wales—signed up this time (nearly triple the participants of the May drive). This benefited the Guild as well as the articles in need of copy editing. You can see from the comparison graphs that we increased the number of completed copyedits substantially. Unfortunately, we were not able to meet our goal of completely wiping out 2008 from the queue. We also were not able to reduce the backlog to less than 6,000 articles. We suspect people were busy with real life summertime things, at least in the northern hemisphere! We were able to remove the months of January, February, March, April, and May from the backlog, and we almost wiped out the month of June. We reduced the backlog by 1,289 articles (17%), so all in all it was a very successful drive, and we will be holding another event soon. We'll come up with some new ideas to try to keep things fresh and interesting. Keep up the good work, everybody!

Stats
If you copy edited at least 4,000 words, you qualify for a barnstar. If you edited in the May 2010 GOCE Backlog Elimination Drive, your word totals are cumulative for barnstars (not the leaderboard). Over the course of the next week or two, we will be handing out the barnstars.

Request sent

I sent the request to MDB to deliver the GOCE newsletter to the rest of the Guild members. I tried my best to remove the names of users that have already received the newsletter, but I'm pretty sure I missed some. Just thought I'd let you know. The Raptor You rang?/My mistakes; I mean, er, contributions 14:02, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

I was wondering, who reviewed my request? They didn't remove the drive participants that I missed. Boing! said Zebedee participated in the drive and received the newsletter twice. The Raptor You rang?/My mistakes; I mean, er, contributions 22:10, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
Hmm... I reviewed it but I must have missed those... sorry, I'll check through the bot's edits manually. - EdoDodo talk 22:13, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

Don't feel too bad about it, everyone makes mistakes. The Raptor You rang?/My mistakes; I mean, er, contributions 22:15, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

Thanks :). - EdoDodo talk 22:16, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

Should be done. I removed duplicates manually from a few users. Sorry about that. For any Unix folks interested, I ran uniq on a combined list of the users in the two requests, but forgot to sort it! - EdoDodo talk 22:41, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

That's alright. Like I said, everyone makes mistakes. It was kind of my fault for not being as thorough as I could be. I'll make sure to be more thorough next time I do something like that. The Raptor You rang?/My mistakes; I mean, er, contributions 22:46, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
Not your fault either :). - EdoDodo talk 22:53, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

Newsletter delivery

Thanks for the offer, but I prefer to deliver it myself as it helps me to keep track of current members. AWB makes things simple enough (there was a time when I used to deliver it to 200+ people without it), and only takes about ten minutes. Again, thanks for the suggestion. --Happy editing! Nehrams2020 (talkcontrib) 02:43, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

Okay :). - EdoDodo talk 12:34, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

The new "run" interface is freaking cool! Nice work. As you might have noticed, your bot is approved and flagged now. You should probably set it to start adding the bot flag. –xenotalk 22:08, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

Thanks! The request above is running now, so too late to have it flag edits for this run. Also, I'm not too sure if it's a good idea... won't it prevent the 'new messages' banner from triggering? - EdoDodo talk 22:13, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
Only if you set the minor flag. –xenotalk 22:14, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
Okay. I'll have it use the flag for future runs then. - EdoDodo talk 22:16, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

Hmm... I enabled the bot flag but it doesn't seem to be working. Perhaps it's a bug in Peachy... I'll look into it. - EdoDodo talk 21:35, 4 August 2010 (UTC)

Nevermind, I got it working. - EdoDodo talk 22:22, 4 August 2010 (UTC)
Cool - I have to "second" the barnstar below. This bot is really sleek. It's going to save me a lot of time =) –xenotalk 22:45, 4 August 2010 (UTC)
Thanks :). - EdoDodo talk 22:54, 4 August 2010 (UTC)

You have definitely earned this

Abuse Reports

Hi,just wondering if you have received any contact from the ISP in relation to this abuse case? Thanks,Acather96 (talk) 18:29, 5 August 2010 (UTC)

Hi there, nope, I never got a non-automated reply from the ISP for that case. In fact, since it's been quite a while, I'm going to close the case as no reply. Sorry :(. - EdoDodo talk 18:34, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
That's alright, I just closed one myself for the same reason. It's a shame that they don't respond :( Acather96 (talk) 18:43, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
Indeed, there's very few ISPs that actually take the time to reply. - EdoDodo talk 18:46, 5 August 2010 (UTC)

Bot is already running or severely malfunctioned at last run, exiting.

monosock 00:57, 6 August 2010 (UTC)

Hmm... I'm not quite sure what happened. Looking at the logs it seems that the bot just stopped all of a sudden, without outputting any error messages or anything. Anyway, I reset the file that tracks when the bot is running, and your request is running now. I'll improve the error logging a little bit, so if the problem occurs again I might be able to pinpoint what is causing the problem a bit better. Sorry for the inconvenience. - EdoDodo talk 01:53, 6 August 2010 (UTC)

Verdi's OTELLO

In Italian, the villain's name is spelled "Jago", not "Iago". 207.237.243.185 (talk) 16:28, 9 August 2010 (UTC)

As far as I see, even in the Italian article the name Iago is used primarily. And even if it was spelled differently in Italian, it doesn't matter, because this is the English Wikipedia, so English spelling should be used for names. - EdoDodo talk 16:32, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
Oh, nevermind, that article was on Shakespeare's version of it, not Verdi's. But, anyway, English names should be used here. - EdoDodo talk 16:37, 9 August 2010 (UTC)

Problems with MessageDeliveryBot

I'm having problems running MDB. Every time I try to run the bot, a screen comes up that says "The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading." Is it just that my computer is stupid, or is there something wrong with the bot? I think the former is much more likely. The Raptor You rang?/My mistakes; I mean, er, contributions 22:21, 17 August 2010 (UTC)

It's neither, actually, the Toolserver is currently have some issues and is offline. - EdoDodo talk 22:23, 17 August 2010 (UTC)
Ah, I see. Perfect. I just spent a half hour collecting the names of users that hadn't received the September 2010 GOCE backlog elimination drive invite, and toolserver starts having problems. (sigh) The Raptor You rang?/My mistakes; I mean, er, contributions 22:26, 17 August 2010 (UTC)

I guess it isn't all bad. Diannaa has sent some invites manually, so the list of users I'll have to send the invites to may be shorter by the time Toolserver is back online. The Raptor You rang?/My mistakes; I mean, er, contributions 22:35, 17 August 2010 (UTC)

The Guild of Copy-Editors – September 2010 Backlog Elimination Drive

The Wikipedia Guild of Copy-Editors invite you to participate in the September 2010 Backlog Elimination Drive, a month-long effort to reduce the backlog of articles that require copy-editing. The drive will begin on 1 September at 00:00 (UTC) and will end on 30 September at 23:59 (UTC). The goals for this drive are to eliminate 2008 from the queue and to reduce the backlog to fewer than 5,000 articles.

Sign-up has already begun at the September drive page, and will be open throughout the drive. If you have any questions or concerns, please leave a message on the drive's talk page.

Before you begin copy-editing, please carefully read the instructions on the main drive page. Please make sure that you know how to copy-edit, and be familiar with the Wikipedia Manual of Style.

Awards and barnstars
A range of barnstars will be awarded to active participants. Some are exclusive to GoCE drives. More information on awards can be found on the main drive page.

Thank you; we look forward to meeting you on the drive!

WelcomerBot

Your bot is live, after I fixed it. I've committed the relevant fixed to svn. [stwalkerster|talk] 00:05, 19 August 2010 (UTC)

Awesome, thanks for sorting it out :). By the way, the two new lines at the end of each output line were intentional to make it fit in with Peachy's output, which for some reason outputs a blank line every time. Anyway, thanks :). - EdoDodo talk 02:58, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
And reducing it was to stop it scrolling off the top of the screen :P [stwalkerster|talk] 10:33, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, I don't suppose it really matters :P. - EdoDodo talk 13:38, 19 August 2010 (UTC)

DodoBot

WP:MILHIST has asked to know some of the capabilities of your bot.

  1. How accurate is it?
  2. How hard is it to use?
  3. What are the dangers of using it?

WikiCopterRadioChecklistFormerly AirplanePro 02:03, 21 August 2010 (UTC)

Hi there. That depends on what task you're thinking of having it do. How it works is that you give the bot a list of categories (and, optionally, an importance level for each category), and the bot tags the pages in them for your WikiProject. The bot can also automatically assess very short articles (typically below 2500 bytes) as stubs, and inherit tags from other WikiProject if they all agree (for example, if a couple of projects have already tagged an article as C-class, the bot will tag it that way). From the WikiProject's point of view it's fairly simple, all I need is the list of categories to tag. Otherwise, I could just do assessment of already tagged articles. The only real danger of using it is that different project have different standards - for example an article might be C-class for another project, but if your standards are a bit stricter you might have preferred it to be start-class. The bot really can't do anything about that, so occasionally some its ratings may have to be tweaked a bit. - EdoDodo talk 02:24, 21 August 2010 (UTC)

DodoBot

Hi, please stop running this bot on Commons without a bot flag. If you run it in the future, please ignore commented out content like this. Thanks. Rocket000 (talk) 18:37, 21 August 2010 (UTC)

Hmm, I see your bot is flagged. I wonder why I couldn't filter your edits out... nevermind. :) Rocket000 (talk) 18:44, 21 August 2010 (UTC)
BTW, do you think you can convert a couple more headings while you're at it? For example, on commons:File:Origin of the League of Nations.png there's "==License==" which could be "== {{int:license}} ==" and "==File history==" which could be "== {{original upload log}} ==". I know there's some other variations, but I think these are somewhat common. Rocket000 (talk) 18:51, 21 August 2010 (UTC)

Hi there! The bot should ignore content that is commented out, or between <nowiki> tags. As far as I see, the edits that DodoBot made to commons:File:SFO_at_night.jpg were to non-commented out text. I realize that that was one rare case where the bot shouldn't have edited the header, but there is really no way for the bot to know. Thanks for the suggestions, I've added ==License== and ==File history== to the changes the bot will make if it comes across them. - EdoDodo talk 19:26, 21 August 2010 (UTC)

I've restarted the bot by the way, hope you don't mind. Just for the record, the relevant request for bot status can be found here: commons:Commons:Bots/Requests/DodoBot. - EdoDodo talk 19:30, 21 August 2010 (UTC)
Of course I don't mind, I shouldn't have blocked it in the first place and I'm sorry that it stopped your bot (I was hoping it would resume after unblocking). Thanks for adding those other variations. Right now I'm putting together a page of regexes (.NET style for AWB) for file page localization along with some syntax fixes and general cleanups. It'll be something like this. There's already a script for pywikipedia but I like using AWB better (it's much easier for modifying/(de)selecting individual regexes). I'll drop you link when I have something. Cheers. Rocket000 (talk) 07:01, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
Hi again. Well, I have a bunch of regular expressions for localization and cleanup already. I sent you an email with a copy-paste of the XML file I use in AWB. If you paste that into a file with a .xml extension and then open it up with AWB you'll see all the regular expressions that I use :). They're in the normal find and replace, not the advanced, since there I can disable editing text in comments and <nowiki> tags. - EdoDodo talk 14:31, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
Thanks! I'll combine them with what I got to make both of ours even better. I haven't tested it yet but the "Technique" ones look useful as I don't have anything for them. I also haven't had much luck creating decent regexes and that set looks promising. One thing you should change now is ==[ ]*File history[ ]*== to ==[ ]*(original upload (log|history)|file history)[ ]*== as these are very common. Rocket000 (talk) 02:47, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
Done. Thanks for the suggestion once again :). Keep me updated on how your set of the regular expressions works out, and if you need anything feel free to leave me a message here or email me :). - EdoDodo talk 04:30, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
commons:User:Rocket000/Regexes. It's a start. There's a lot more I want to add yet (mostly template ones), but I have the basics there. You're very welcome to work on it. After we get some more stuff on there, I plan to make a page with xml for AWB that users can copy and paste to add them all at once. Rocket000 (talk) 17:50, 27 August 2010 (UTC)

Nice work! Certainly a very good start :). I'll add some more to it later. I've removed the one that changes <br> to <br /> because that is very controversial (see this discussion). Hope you don't mind. - EdoDodo talk 13:44, 28 August 2010 (UTC)

No problem. I used that one mainly for normalizing text to improve machine-readability. I wouldn't say it's "very controversial" (maybe if that's the only change you were making with a bot/AWB, I wouldn't like that either) but I agree there's no need to change other valid forms. I didn't think much about preserving all the acceptable forms since it's so trivial, but you're right. You may have noticed that for the description field ones I use a form that is something like (\|[ ]*date[ ]*=[ ]*) so that it preserves the whitespace or lack thereof, which is kinda in the same boat. Rocket000 (talk) 16:54, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, maybe "very controversial" is a bit over-exaggerated, but there isn't consensus for it, at least not on Wikipedia, so it probably shouldn't be done by a bot. Thanks for the tweak :). Yeah, it is probably a good idea to preserver the whitespace for the dates. Nice work :). - EdoDodo talk 00:42, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
I've added my regular expressions to translate the technique field. Feel free to make any changes you see fit to them. - EdoDodo talk 19:13, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
Thank you! Regarding this, I found that it misses some when MultiLine isn't checked. I'm not sure why, but you can test this on commons:File:Francisco Pizarro.jpeg. I always thought Multiline makes ^ and $ apply to every line instead the whole page... but I know even without it you can still match every line (usually). Rocket000 (talk) 21:35, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
Ah, I didn't notice that you were using ^ and $ for start and end of lines. Have reverted. Without MultiLine, ^ and $ will match the start and end of the whole string, instead of lines as you intended them to. Sorry! - EdoDodo talk 21:42, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
I'll start writing a bot that generates and uploads an XML for file for AWB from that page, so we can have an automatically updating XML file with all the fixes we put on there. - EdoDodo talk 23:07, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
Awesome! Rocket000 (talk) 23:19, 29 August 2010 (UTC)

I took the liberty of creating the user page under your userspace at commons:User:Rocket000/Regexes/XML, hope you don't mind. It's still being worked on and need to do a bit more debugging, but basically that's what I had in mind. I had it put just the replacements part of the XML instead of the whole file, so it can be added to existing bots more easily. - EdoDodo talk 01:25, 30 August 2010 (UTC)

Okay, most of the bugs are sorted out, I think we can call it stable now. By the way, have you considered moving the page to the Commons: namespace to make it kind-of official? - EdoDodo talk 02:40, 30 August 2010 (UTC)
Looks good. Yeah, I can move it to the project namespace. I just don't know what to call it. :) Rocket000 (talk) 19:43, 30 August 2010 (UTC)
Looks like the bot is working fine, it synced your changes correctly here... I'm not too sure what to call it, how about Commons:File description page regular expressions? Really up to you. Once we move it though, I'll have to get the bot approved since it won't be just userspace edits. - EdoDodo talk 00:52, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
Oh great, then we'll have to wait around for a month. ;) If it was my bot, I would just do it. It's already flagged and this involves editing a single page. I doubt anyone will have issues with that. Anyway, I moved it to the name you suggested but I left the XML page where it is; you can move it whenever your bot's ready. Rocket000 (talk) 01:24, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
Well, my bot is flagged too and Wikipedia is not bureaucracy, but Commons is not Wikipedia so I'm not sure if an exception would be acceptable. I'll open the request for approval tomorrow, better safe than sorry and there's no rush anyway :). - EdoDodo talk 03:00, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
I was talking about your bot. I would say Commons is much less bureaucratic. In fact, it wasn't until May 2009, after someone rewrote the page, including this subtle little change, that users needed approval to run any kind of bot (unless they wanted a flag of course). An even that was done without much consensus either way. I have used my bot for all kinds of things and never asked for permission (the flag was for unspecified "miscellaneous" tasks, so I wouldn't flood the RC). No one minds. But of course, if you would feel better getting approval, I'll be there to support. :) Rocket000 (talk) 05:57, 31 August 2010 (UTC)

Ah, okay :). Well, for the moment I'll run it without getting approval since it's just one page, but if anyone objects I'll stop it and request approval. I've scheduled the bot to check for changes once a day, slightly after midnight UTC. - EdoDodo talk 13:10, 31 August 2010 (UTC)

WelcomerBot

Trial complete. Removed from crontab so it won't run any more. I've updated the BRFA too. :D [stwalkerster|talk] 23:29, 23 August 2010 (UTC)

Awesome, thanks! - EdoDodo talk 03:07, 24 August 2010 (UTC)

Hm

I know it was a limited run, but I don't think requests like this one should be approved. –xenotalk 20:32, 25 August 2010 (UTC)

Hmm... okay, sorry. I didn't think it would be an issue because it was only sent to a dozen people, and was just a {{cookie}} and brief message. Anyway, in future I won't approve other messages like that one. - EdoDodo talk 20:49, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
It's not a huge deal, I just don't think we should be encouraging the misuse of the bot for such things. –xenotalk 20:50, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, see what you mean. - EdoDodo talk 20:57, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
Erm.. I was gonna say the same thing as xeno about that run. But saw he already had... isn't this pretty much the same thing? Also, "our newest admins" isn't that accurate for some of these :). - Kingpin13 (talk) 12:17, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
Well, once again I didn't see anything wrong with it, just motivating a few admins and spreading a bit of WikiLove. - EdoDodo talk 12:30, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
WikiLove from a bot isn't quite the same thing if you ask me ;P. I think it would be a good idea to just not have the bot sending personal messages. It's great for newsletters or task forces, but I dislike having it sending smiles/similar to groups of users. - Kingpin13 (talk) 12:37, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
Okay, from now on I won't approve any more personal messages. - EdoDodo talk 19:14, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
