Grindcore

[edit]

Hi, I see we've gotten into a bit of a conflict over on the grindcore page, and it's best to reach a consensus over here. The reason I reverted your edits is because information on Wikipedia is based on WP:RELIABLESOURCES, which you haven't provided, and without it, the information can not be on the website. Also, your changes to the lead from "fusion genre of heavy metal and hardcore punk" to "fusion genre of crust punk, Anarcho-punk, D-beat and hardcore punk" doesn't make sense in terms of sentence structure, because the same sentence already goes on to state that it is "drawing inspiration from abrasive-sounding musical styles, such as thrashcore, crust punk, hardcore punk, extreme metal, and industrial". You see, the start of the sentence is saying general genres, that encompass all the genres it is influenced by. I hope we can reach a conclusion but according to Wiki guidelines, the page should be as it was prior to your edits until a consensus is reached. I hope this works for you, have a nice day. Information icon Hello. Some of your recent genre changes, such as the one you made to grindcore, have conflicted with our neutral point of view and verifiability policies. While we invite all users to contribute constructively to Wikipedia, we urge all editors to provide reliable sources for edits made. When others disagree, we recommend you seek consensus for certain edits by discussing the matter on the article's talk page. Genre changes without consensus or sources to back up. [edit]

Information icon Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to Grindcore. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. Binksternet (talk) 03:31, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Grindcore; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Discogs is not reliable as you can read at WP:ALBUMAVOID. Binksternet (talk) 06:42, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours for edit warring, as you did at Grindcore. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Malcolmxl5 (talk) 16:24, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked as a sockpuppet

[edit]
Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abusing multiple accounts as a sockpuppet of User:Hazzard Dblon per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Hazzard Dblon. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=In my short stay on wikipedia I have come to realize that it is run solely by a group of friends and SUPPOSED EDITORS, who stupidly believe they are right about everything, regardless of logic. AS MUCH AS I WAS RIGHT, MY EDITING HAS NOT BEEN PERCEIVED, AS CLEAR AS THE PROSPECTIVES WERE, ISSAN SUMISU was responding on such stupid pretexts. This guy demonstrates the tremendous fanaticism he has for "metal" by defending an erroneous edition created in 2002 by a user that no longer exists that does not consider 1985 data, without considering the "allmusic" source. In short, WIKIPEDIA PROVES TO ME THAT IT IS MANAGED BY A SMALL GROUP OF SUPPOSED EDITORS. IT IS SAD TO KNOW THAT THEY SUPPORT THEMSELVES IN SUCH A STUPID WAY IN ALL THEIR ACTIONS AND IT MAKES ME ANGRY TO KNOW THAT NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU ARE RIGHT AND WITH STRONG EVIDENCE, MY EDITION WILL NOT SUCCEED. I AM GOING TO MAKE PUBLIC WITH CLEAR EVIDENCE AND CLEAR SIZES HOW THEY VIOLATED MY RIGHTS BY BLOCKING ME UNJUSTLY. I HAVE COME TO DETEST AND REPUDIATE WIKIPEDIA FOR THE REASONS STATED. I AM GOING TO REPORT THIS ON YOUTUBE CHANNELS, WEBSITES. (NOW I UNDERSTAND WHY THERE ARE TOO MANY FORUMS, VIDEOS, PAGES WHERE THEY CRITICIZE WIKIPEDIA AND THEREFORE IT IS NOT A RELIABLE SOURCE). That they make fun of their work and research, that's what makes me the angriest, wikipedia = false information promoted by a small group of people. AS ALBERT EINSTEIN SAID "There are two infinite things: the Universe and human stupidity". PEOPLE WHO NEVER WROTE A BOOK IN THEIR LIFE AND NEVER SET FOOT IN A UNIVERSITY THINKING THEY ARE PUBLISHERS LOL. ~~~~}}.  ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 16:54, 12 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
