User page

[edit]

Sorry, but your user page does not conform to Wikipedia's user page guidelines. It is intended for basic information about yourself and your Wikimedia-related activities. Although a lot of freedom is allowed in personalizing your user page, it is not:

The user page guidelines have futher information on what is and what is not acceptable content. Thank you. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 14:21, 19 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion

[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because... (your reason here) --EdTimCo (talk) 14:24, 19 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

There is no copyright violation. All are published public free sources only. Freely available. Thank you for your concern though.

Please read WP:UP Thanks!Thegooduser Let's Chat 🍁 14:26, 19 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The rationale for the deletion is not copyright violation. It is because the content of your user page does not comply with Wikipedia's user page guidelines. Please do not re-add it. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 14:33, 19 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
You may be blocked if you re-add it.Thegooduser Let's Chat 🍁 14:34, 19 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Teahouse talkback: you've got messages!

[edit]
Hello, EdTimCo. Your question has been answered at the Teahouse Q&A board. Feel free to reply there!
Please note that all old questions are archived after 2-3 days of inactivity. Message added by Thegooduser Let's Chat 🍁 14:33, 19 June 2018 (UTC). (You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{teahouse talkback}} template).[reply]

There is no contradiction 5o Wikipedia policy either.

In fact, my page only serves the purpose of public information and dissemination of knowledge to advance scientific and technological knowledge.

You have been told - repeatedly - that a Wikipedia user page is not intended for that purpose. Wikipedia editors are meant to share their expertise by improving the encyclopedia, and not by attracting attention to themselves and their work. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 14:47, 19 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I would also like to add that Wikipedia is not a place to promote oneself and one's interests. -- Dlohcierekim (talk) 14:50, 19 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I'm Sorry, but I or another admin have deleted content from your user space.  User:EdTimCo has been deleted.

User pages and User talk pages are intended only to promote collegiality among users. They are not to be used as a soapbox for writings not connected with the editorial process on Wikipedia. While we appreciate that you enjoy using Wikipedia, please note that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not a free webhosting service--not a personal website, blog, or social media site, nor are user pages intended to host articles, CV/resumés or a lengthy autobiography.

More information is available at THIS PAGE.

User sandboxess should not contain promotional material or material unconnected with improving Wikipedia, see above.

User space is not intended to contain articles. Please use the Article_wizard for drafting articles, or use the Articles for creation process. Subjects of encyclopedia articles must have significant verifiable information from reliable sources unconnected with the subject.

You might want to look at Wikipedia:Userboxes#Gallery as a means of telling colleagues about yourself.

Wikipedia:User page design center has information that can help you design a user page.

This message is not meant to discourage you from editing Wikipedia but rather to remind you that the ultimate goal of this website is to build an encyclopedia. Thank you.

There is more information at Wikipedia:Community_portal Cheers, and happy editing. -- Dlohcierekim (talk) 14:43, 19 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Dlohcierekim. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. -- Dlohcierekim (talk) 14:43, 19 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we would like you to assume good faith while interacting with other editors, which you did not do on User talk:Thegooduser. Blocked

[edit]
Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because it appears that you are not here to build an encyclopedia.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Ian.thomson (talk) 16:03, 19 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia is not a resume hosting site. Wikipedia is not here for you to promote your career on. The user page you kept trying to create goes against both of those principles, trying to argue otherwise will prove fruitless.
Almost all users here are here to help the encyclopedia. Accusing others because things didn't work your way is pointless, childish, and often against policy.
The only way you're going to be unblocked is to use the unblock template as it is displayed above, filling it out with the following information:
Not including that information, or throwing in stuff about how this is unfair, or blaming others, or arguing that you have some right to use our private site as your personal advertising platform will only result in your request being declined. If you insist on doing anything besides requesting an unblock, we can and will revoke your talk page privileges.
It would also be good for you to explain how you intend to help the encyclopedia, bearing in mind that personal credentials are irrelevant here, noone cares about them, we will ignore them. We cite and summarize professionally-published mainstream academic or journalistic sources, we do not use original research.
Ian.thomson (talk) 16:03, 19 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
If by, "Because of unjust and unfair admin(s) I'd like to delete this and will consult someone else," you mean use somewhere else as a webhost, that would be for the best. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia project. It is not a webhost whereon one posts their curriculum vitae. If by "unjust and unfair", you mean holding you to the same rules as everyone else, suggest you consult a dictionary.-- Dlohcierekim (talk) 18:10, 19 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
