I used your photo for an article I started on the Carrabelle River. It is weirdly difficult to find basic information on the river like its length and geography. I'd like to add something about the Carrabelle River Bridge that I think crosses it as part of 98? Maybe i'm just slow today. Take care. Happy travels. Candleabracadabra (talk) 17:38, 26 May 2012 (UTC)
- Okey-dokey. That's one of my favorite areas of the state. I highly recommend visiting, if you've not already. Yeah, the bridge is part of US 98. The view's pretty nice, I think. Cheers! --‖ Ebyabe talk - Welfare State ‖ 20:22, 26 May 2012 (UTC)
camera
Hi,
You've inspired me to get a camera and take some pictures of areas in Florida I think are overlooked and not represented. I can't believe there's no photos of Kissingen Springs, for example. And the article is horribly neglected though there's many sources.
My neighbor has a Kodak EasyShare camera (probably like yours) that she's had for a while a really likes. So maybe I'll get one of those, since you've gotten such good results.
Everywhere I look I see things that could be photographed for the encyclopedia - though I'm not systematic like you! Best wishes, MathewTownsend (talk) 20:54, 8 June 2012 (UTC)
- Huzzah, I'm inspirational! :) The camera I have now (EasyShare C195) I got last year at Wal-Mart for about 60 bucks. I highly recommend it. You needn't spend a bucket of money to get a good camera nowadays. I rather like the Peace River area; there's lots of wide open spaces. Good fortune with the photographing. --‖ Ebyabe talk - Border Town ‖ 01:46, 9 June 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for the tip. I love Florida rivers and springs. Used to canoe a lot - canoed through the Everglades without seeing another person besides my fellow paddler. The crystal clear waters of the rivers in Central Florida - beyond words! Going to get my EasyShare C195. MathewTownsend (talk) 16:12, 10 June 2012 (UTC)

Daytona Beach Historic Districts
I found a website with some info about Volusia County & Daytona Beach Historic Districts. It appears to be run by the County, so the info documented may be considered Public Domain. http://www.heritagepreservationtrust.org/ Perhaps if enough data can be gleaned from it, new wiki pages could be created. Photos of pending listings
Do you upload photos of pending listings, and/or do you know of others who do? I'm considering creating a Commons category as a holding pen for such images, and I'd like your opinion on whether it would be useful. Please reply at my talk page, since I've also asked for input from Ammodramus and Smallbones. Nyttend (talk) 13:18, 11 October 2012 (UTC)
- I used to, and don't know anyone else who does. I've not been roadtripping much of late, but when I was, I kept track of pending listings. Since I also maintain the Florida NRHP lists, what I do is invisibly add pending listings ahead of time, then "reveal" them when they're official. I'll add the photos if I have them at that stage too. I didn't create a special "pending" category for them. --‖ Ebyabe talk - Health and Welfare ‖ 17:36, 11 October 2012 (UTC)
Are you familiar with this area at all? I haven't had a chance to do much with it. Any assistance would be most welcome. I also started an article on Mercantile Bank building (Tampa, Florida), FYI. Take care. Candleabracadabra (talk) 01:33, 17 October 2012 (UTC)

invisible edit?
Hi, why would you make this edit with edit summary emphasizing it is invisible. If there is a new NHL, it should be added. Is it not official yet?
If it is merely that you are inserting a new item in a long numbered list, and you don't want to take on a big renumbering task, just put it in at a half number(e.g., enter at number 69.5, if between items 69 and 70). You don't have to take on the bigger renumbering, which another editor (SanFranman59 can do easily with some tool). --doncram 13:20, 19 October 2012 (UTC)
- Yep, I didn't want to do the renumbering. On the Florida and Georgia ones I maintain, I put in the pending ones in like that. When they're approved, I add the date and "reveal" them. I hadn't thought of the ".5" option; seems a bit dodgy to me. But I guess that's an OK stopgap measure. I'll try it, and if it's considered problematic, I'm sure I'll hear about it. Off to the races! :) --‖ Ebyabe talk - Border Town ‖ 13:44, 19 October 2012 (UTC)

US 90 in Florida
I finally finished that article on U.S. Route 90 in Florida, although between your edits and mine, it's kind of long. The talk page for my sandbox on the article has been archived as well, and anything else you have to say about it should be moved to the talk page of the article itself. Infobox templates
From your contributions to Infobox NRHP, I'm hoping you can help me out. Would you be able to add more coordinate options to Template:Infobox civilian attack, similar to those already used in Template:Infobox_NRHP Infobox NRHP. Specifically, I'm looking for at least latitude =, longitude = , | coord_parameters = ( e.g., region:US_type:landmark), | coord_display = (e.g., inline, title), and | coord_format = (e.g., dms) parameters be added to Template:Infobox civilian attack. Re-delisting a building
Perhaps you remember this edit to National Register of Historic Places listings in St. Joseph County, Indiana, and if so, I suppose that you saw Sanfranman's following edit. I believe I know what happened — while NPS didn't mention this place being delisted on June 15, it did delist the Richmond Gas Company Building (National Register of Historic Places listings in Wayne County, Indiana) on that day; probably Teemu08 saw it and thought it was the building in South Bend. Nyttend (talk) 21:16, 28 November 2012 (UTC)
- Also, on the new listing in Cincinnati ("Main-Third Street Buildings") that you marked a few days ago with an edit summary of "it may be the same as the one after it" — I believe that you're right. Besides the nearly identical names and addresses, there's a longer history than may first be noted. See its refnum, 83004654: it was originally nominated 30 years ago but failed because of an owner objection, right around the same time that 83001984 was listed as the Main and Third Street Cluster. I'm wondering if they nominated a larger group, got an objection from someone on the edge of the district, and renominated it without that building? !!!!
Would definitely be appreciated. Smallbones(smalltalk) 04:25, 4 December 2012 (UTC)

Interesting private house in rural Holmes County, Florida
Did you see this on any of your travels in the Panhandle(http://imgur.com/bWWurZO)? This is northwest of Ponce de Leon, Florida. It may not be a historic site, but it's still interesting. I found out about it when I was working on my article for Florida State Road 10A. You should save and/or print a copy before Google makes Imgur take it down, find out if the sign is still there, and can snap a picture of it. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 18:31, 3 March 2013 (UTC)
- It's located here. Nope, I never even went by it, since that road wasn't on the way to anywhere I was going. It's only about 4 miles off US 90, though, so it's not a big detour. I'll put it on my list for whenever I get back up there. I've not been doing much roadtripping of late, as I've not had as much of the wherewithal to do so. But I do hear the call of the Panhandle, especially on cold clear days like today. So we shall see. My likeliest next sojourn, though, will probably be to St. Augustine at the end of April. I don't need an excuse to go there, but that's when the annual Taste of St. Augustine is. Plus it's at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre, which always will have a special place in my heart. If you can make it over there, consider it. The Taste thing goes from noon to 8, and it's only a couple of miles from the historic downtown. Also close to Anastasia State Park, the St. Augustine Lighthouse, and the St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park. Anyway, thanks for the info about that Holmes County spot. Cheers! :) --‖ Ebyabe talk - Repel All Boarders ‖ 21:33, 3 March 2013 (UTC).

Discussion on high school's infobox type
Hi there! New user here, so I hope I am following proper processes by making this entry. I wanted to get your opinion on changing the infobox type on English_High_School_(Lynn,_Massachusetts) from Template:Infobox_NRHP to Template:Infobox_school. This is an active high school and readers may benefit more from data within the school infobox such as principal, mascot, rival, etc. Hope to hear from you soon!
Charger2 (talk) 20:26, 17 March 2013 (UTC)
- It'd be better to have both. The school one can be on top, and the NRHP beneath. It's also possible to embed the NRHP infobox 'inside' the school one, I think. See Template:Infobox_NRHP#Embedding for more on that. Either way, only the NRHP-unique info should be in that infobox, which will reduce it in size. Hope this helps! :) --‖ Ebyabe talk - Border Town ‖ 23:25, 17 March 2013 (UTC)
Addison Blockhouse Historic State Park
I found another State Park that is missing from Wikipedia, Addison Blockhouse Historic State Park. I don't know if you are interested in working on it, but I found a good source on the net. Addison Blockhouse Historic State Park, Florida State Parks Gamweb (talk) 03:01, 18 March 2013 (UTC)
- It's a weird park, as it has no ranger station. You won't find it on the main page. It's like the nearby Bulow Creek State Park. There are others like it in other parts of Florida too. You can't get a stamp for it in the passport book, either. My Wiki interest/involvement is low right now, so I shan't be of much help. But good luck, whatever you do. :) --‖ Ebyabe talk - Union of Opposites ‖ 04:02, 18 March 2013 (UTC)

Request to take part in a survey
I am Piotr Konieczny, a fellow Wikipedian (User:Piotrus) and a researcher of Wikipedia (http://scholar.google.com/citations?user=gdV8_AEAAAAJ). I am currently (in collaboration with WMF) embarking on a project trying to understand why the most active Wikipedia contributors (such as yourself) may reduce their activity, or retire. We have a growing understanding of why an average editor may do so (see http://strategy.wikimedia.org/wiki/Former_Contributors_Survey_Results), but we have a very limited understanding of why the top editors would limit their contributions. Yet it is the top editors like yourself who contribute most of Wikiepdia's content, thus understanding this is of vital concern to Wikipedia's project future.
I am contacting you because you are among the top Wikipediana by number of edits, yet your editing activity shows a decline. I would very much appreciate if you would take a minute and answer the following four short questions. Please note this is not a mass email; I am contacting only few dozen of editors like yourself, and each response is extremely valuable. Your response will not be made public, and your privacy will be fully respected.
If you would like to help out in this project and take part in a very short survey, please send me a wikiemail, so that I can send you an email with the survey questions. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 09:28, 16 July 2013 (UTC)

Although the tower was later torn down because of structural issues, the cabanas and clubhouse have been fully restored and are now on the National Historic Register of Historic Places."article in Herald-Tribune. Disambiguation link fixing one-day contest
I have decided to put on a mini-contest within the November 2013 monthly disambiguation contest, on Saturday, November 23 (UTC). I will personally give a $20 Amazon.com gift card to the disambiguator who fixes the most links on that server-day (see the project page for details on scoring points). Since we are not geared up to do an automated count for that day, at 00:00, 23 November 2013 (UTC) (which is 7:00 PM on November 22, EST), I'll take a screenshot of the project page leaderboard. I will presume that anyone who is not already listed on the leaderboard has precisely nine edits. At 01:00, 24 November 2013 (UTC) (8:00 PM on November 23, EST), I'll take a screenshot of the leaderboard at that time (the extra hour is to give the board time to update), and I will determine from that who our winner is. I will credit links fixed by turning a WP:DABCONCEPT page into an article, but you'll have to let me know me that you did so. Here's to a fun contest. Note that according to the Daily Disambig, we currently have under 256,000 disambiguation links to be fixed. If everyone in the disambiguation link fixers category were to fix 500 links, we would have them all done - so aim high! Cheers! bd2412 T 02:21, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
