Hello, Dynamo128, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your edits to the page Gaetano Grado have not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may be removed if they have not yet been. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles. Additionally, all new biographies of living people must contain at least one reliable source.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to the new contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Again, welcome!  DonCalo (talk) 20:04, 12 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Dynamo, thanks again for your contributions. Please add reliable source when you edit an entry. Your article on Gaetano Grado is particularly worrisome, since he is still alive and the information you provided needs reliable sources, see Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons. Keep up the good work. - DonCalo (talk) 11:31, 13 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Gaetano Badalamenti.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hammersoft (talk) 14:16, 23 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

There's several issues with this image. First, Wikipedia is not the source of the image. Wikipedia is to where you are uploading the image. Second, the image is not in the public domain because he is dead. The death of the subject of a photograph has no bearing on whether the image is in the public domain or not. Third, the image appears to be taken from the Internet, as there are copies out there. The vast, vast majority of media files on the Internet are under a license that is not compatible with Wikipedia's free licensing requirements. If you questions about any of this, I'm happy to answer. --Hammersoft (talk) 14:15, 23 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Dynamo128. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:49, 23 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Michele Cavataio

[edit]

Ciao.

Come facciamo? --Dynamo128 (talk) 10:55, 25 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Ciao. Pakdooik (talk) 23:38, 26 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I am not in conditions of reverting your edit, but please avoid name-calling people, including President Trump's remarks as "childish". Thank you. --LLcentury (talk) 20:38, 11 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Poor form as it may have been, Trump's remarks are nothing short of childish, objectively speaking, because of the language he utilizes. I have nothing against him otherwise because he is just a media mogul doing his usual publicity stunts, I just don't think said publicity stunts belong on here. Nonetheless, I appreciate you bringing this to my attention and I'll try to use more diplomatic language next time. Dynamo128 (talk) 21:02, 11 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Manlio Vitale.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Manlio Vitale.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Hi thanks for creating this article. When we translate or borrow from other language wikis it’s a requirement to acknowledge the source. The best way to do this is to include it in your edit summary (e.g. “translated from de.wiki”) and there’s also a translation template you can add to the talk page. If you can confirm where material for this article was sourced I’ll add the template to the talk page for you. Happy editing and please leave a message on my talk page if you need any help Mccapra (talk) 21:34, 6 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Some of the information was taken (and translated) from the Hungarian and German pages on the person (mostly the former), however some of the information is also taken from other pages on the English wiki - it is not, in any case, a direct translation, but if that still befits the translation tag I'd be glad if you could add it. Thanks for the notification. Dynamo128 (talk) 21:36, 6 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction to contentious topics

[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to Eastern Europe or the Balkans, a topic designated as contentious. This standard message is designed as an introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
