Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Introduction to contentious topics

[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to complementary and alternative medicine, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Whose sock are you, please?

[edit]

Hi, DwilfaStudwell. Several experienced users in the ANI discussion have commented on your surprising ability, as a brand new user, to "pick up all this lingo and knowledge of site procedure" that you have demonstrated. Of course they are implying that you are not really a new user, and I have to agree, your use of templates etc shows it. What's your main account, please? Is it blocked? Blocked

[edit]

After all the templated warnings you have posted on everybody who disagrees with you, repeated opening of an inappropriate RfC, and general battleground approach, I find your attack on Remsense ("Is there something wrong with you?") to be the last straw. Compare my warning here and this ANI discussion. Indefinitely blocked as not here to create an encyclopedia. You can request unblock from an uninvolved administrator by placing {{unblock|your reason here}} on this page. Bishonen | tålk 08:57, 30 September 2024 (UTC).[reply]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

The health advantages of curcumin, a phytochemical found in turmeric, were added in 1. However, this was later removed by Bon courage [1] . Next, I initiated a talk page discussion about the health benefits of turmeric [2]. only to realize that reaching an agreement would be best served by a larger community dialogue through RfC. I then started the request for comments RfC here [3], which was quickly reversed within 2 hours of posting [4]. Subsequently, I posted on administrator noticeboard [5] because the conversation was cut off abruptly and the discussion was gagged by a trio of small group of 3 editors. I acknowledge that during the template warning users, I did not evaluate the intesity. and I'll remember it eventually. Later the RFC was quickly closed again, having been opened once more in response to the discussion on a notice board [6].

This indefinite ban is unwarranted. Uninvolved Admins may please see. @Cabayi: @Guerillero: @HJ Mitchell: @Moneytrees: @Sdrqaz: @Z1720:

This is now a checkuser block. If you want to appeal it, you willl have to address the socking too. --Blablubbs (talk) 11:51, 30 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.
