[edit] Hello, I'm SSSB. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, 2020 Sakhir Grand Prix, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you.

Hello, I'm SSSB. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on 2021 FIA Formula 3 Championship, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you!

2021 Formula One World Championship
[edit]Please don't add unsourced content to this article, or any other article for that matter. Also, the heading "European Rounds" makes no sense, since the Emilia Romagna, Portuguese, and Spanish Grands Prix (which are in the Opening rounds section) were all held in Europe. Joseph2302 (talk) 10:29, 10 June 2021 (UTC)
Subnational flags
[edit]In F1 articles, we use the flag of the country of the circuit, not the flag representing the area the Grand Prix is named. So, San Marino/Emiliana Romagna GPs use Italian flag, because the circuit is in Italy, Styrian GP uses Austrian flag, as the circuit is in Austria. The F1 project guidelines on flags for races is at Wikipedia:WikiProject Formula One/Conventions#Season summary articles. If you wish to discuss a change to this, the correct place would be WT:F1, though there have been many flag discussions there in the past. Joseph2302 (talk) 13:09, 22 June 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Sport in France, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Alpine. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

[edit]Hello, I'm TylerBurden. Your recent edit(s) to the page List of Formula One World Drivers' Champions appear to have added incorrect information, so they have been reverted for now. If you believe the information was correct, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. TylerBurden (talk) 12:59, 16 September 2022 (UTC)
- Hey Tyler. The change I made was add the 2021 constructors' championship to Mercedes. I added this after they won the title, so I would like to put it back. DualSkream (talk) 15:09, 17 September 2022 (UTC)
- Note that it says drivers' championship, not constructors. Mercedes did indeed win the 2021 constructors championship, but the drivers' was won by Verstappen driving for Red Bull, not Mercedes. I hope that clears up the confusion. TylerBurden (talk) 15:11, 19 September 2022 (UTC)

Does the photo you uploaded of Zak O'Sullivan meet the Wikipedia:Image use policy? Did you take that photo, or is it from a separate source? I suspect it is a screenshot from a video you do not own, which would need to be deleted immediately. Cerebral726 (talk) 15:55, 27 November 2023 (UTC) Cerebral726 I did take that photo from a video. I'm just realizing that now and I need help to delete it if it's unsafe. The video is called "The Williams Warm-Up | Ep. 14 French GP | Williams Racing."

AlphaTauri
[edit]We have not got the new name. Hence we rely on the entry list which is citing the entire table, listing Scuderia AlphaTauri RB and RB-Honda RBPT, the closest information to the team for the time being. In 2024 we get the new name and we update it as a result. Island92 (talk) 10:45, 16 December 2023 (UTC)
Peach being Bowser's love interest and nothing more in the cast list, just feels wrong.
[edit]Bowser is the villain and Peach is one of the heroes. Peach being only Bowser's love interest and not Mario's is just going to send the wrong message to people, in that it'll promote toxic relationships, especially since Bowser sees Peach as nothing than a prize to be won, practically forced her to marry him under threat of destroying her kingdom and then tried to kill her after she rejected him. It's just not right. If anything, she's more of a lust interest than a love interest. Sorry for the rant. I just want to get my feelings about the matter across. Animaknight (talk) 06:11, 3 March 2024 (UTC)
Animaknight thank you for sharing this with me. I only changed it to "Bowser's love interest" because the article incorrectly stated "Mario and Bowser's love interest," as Mario showed no romantic expressions in Peach during the film.
I do think that not putting any of that in her character description is a good move, but the Wikipedia isn't usually used for promoting toxic relationships. This wasn't an intention made by the edit, so while I understand why you feel this way I am not completely sure if it actually could promote toxicity.
Thank you for changing this. DualSkream (talk) 20:27, 3 March 2024 (EST)

Name
[edit]In prose, just Sauber, without Kick (the sponsor) is ok. In prose, we never put Aston Martin Aramco (Aramco being the sponsor in this case). Island92 (talk) 19:12, 5 April 2024 (UTC)
- Which article are you referring to? DualSkream (talk) 15:53, 8 April 2024 (UTC)
- The in-season Grands Prix and the 2024 season page. Island92 (talk) 18:48, 11 April 2024 (UTC)
- Here's the thing though: Kick Sauber is the official constructor name. It is referred to in official F1 Media as "Kick Sauber," therefore it should be the same here. Same goes for RB; Wikipedia doesn't refer to it as "Racing Bulls" despite Racing Bulls S.p.A managing the team. DualSkream (talk) 18:58, 11 April 2024 (UTC)
- That's ok, but I had referred to a prose's case in qualifying report, race report and so on. Kick remains a sponsor.--Island92 (talk) 19:20, 11 April 2024 (UTC)
- Kick is not just a sponsor. The entire F1 media refers to it as "Kick Sauber" previously stated, and its constructor name is "Kick Sauber" as well. Take BMW Sauber as a previous instance this has happened; it signed a deal with the team and was referred to as "BMW Sauber" from 2006-2009. DualSkream (talk) 14:36, 15 April 2024 (UTC)
- "The entire F1 media refers to it as "Kick Sauber". Firstly, if you want to make that claim, you need to prove that claim. And secondly, that is categorically untrue. See [1], [2], [3] (they use the full name at the top, but later simply state: "“..." agreed Sauber team representative".) So from what I can see, most F1 media don't use Kick. Also, please discuss until there is a consensus (no rebuttal does not constitute no consensus) because right now, you are just edit warring. SSSB (talk) 18:38, 19 April 2024 (UTC)
- I think you misunderstood: I was referring to the ORIGINAL F1 media, which are only sites that Liberty Media or F1 produces (example: F1.com). Other sites are just relayers of information who don't use the official names and often will use nicknames. If you want proof, here's the latest article on Kick Sauber:
- You can also check their Kick Sauber tag and see all article refer to the team as Kick Sauber. DualSkream (talk) 06:56, 20 April 2024 (UTC)
- Right, but what is wrong with using the common name? Why can't our article (a tertiary source) use what is most commonly used across secondary sources? Why should we follow the official media? Just because it is the official media? Because Wikipedia doesn't Work like that. SSSB (talk) 07:43, 20 April 2024 (UTC)
- By that logic, we could also refer to RB as Racing Bulls since that's what it stands for and that Racing Bulls S.p.A organizes the team. And also by that logic, Alfa Romeo could have been recognized as Sauber or even Alfa Romeo Sauber during its time in F1. DualSkream (talk) 12:23, 22 April 2024 (UTC)
- No, and no. My "logic" is to.use the commonname, in line with the majority of sources. RB is not commonly refered to as "Racing Bulls" and Alfa Romeo were not commonly refered to as "Sauber" or "Alfa Romeo Sauber" SSSB (talk) 15:17, 22 April 2024 (UTC)

- Strongly disagree. In my opinion, as soon as it was confirmed that Magnussen would need to replaced for this event WP:SIGCOV was meet and this article could have become an article. SSSB (talk) 06:38, 7 September 2024 (UTC)
