Your copy and paste page has been reversed
[edit]Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give The Bahamas a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Crown Colony of the Bahamas. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 23:01, 3 November 2020 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of ꭤ
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on ꭤ requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Proposed deletion of Ꟈ
[edit]The article Ꟈ has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ~ Amkgp 💬 16:39, 5 November 2020 (UTC)

If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at List of sovereign states in the 2000s. "Church of the Assumption (Saint Petersburg)"
[edit]I have moved "Church of the Assumption (Saint Petersburg)" to draftspace at Draft:Church of the Assumption (Saint Petersburg), as it is very much a rough translation of Russian and has zero inline citations. I don't meant to be rude, but based on the roughness of the translation it doesn't appear you speak Russian natively and have used machine translation to translate into English. If so, you need to know that that machine translation is strongly discouraged because it is liable to introduce significant errors. WP:MACHINE gives more detail.
I have already corrected one such error, in this diff. You incorrectly linked to a list of locations, but the text actually referred to a particular Metropolitan bishop, not a location. (And if it had been a location, linking to the list would also have been wrong).
Because of your lack of experience - less than 50 edits - I would encourage you to submit the article to WP:AFC for approval rather than trying to restore it to mainspace yourself. ♠PMC♠ (talk) 22:59, 27 June 2022 (UTC)
- Druryhunter36, I see that you have now translated Amorphous globosus into English. Although the translation is better than the last, mostly because German is easier to machine translate than Russian, it worries me that you are continuing to machine translate pages without responding to my note above. Communication is required on Wikipedia (the essay at WP:ENGAGE has more to say on it) in order to establish consensus and discuss issues. Editors who continually refuse to communicate with others sometimes wind up restricted from editing mainspace or even fully blocked. I would prefer not to see that happen as you seem to be editing in good faith, but I need to impress on you that communication is important if you are going to continue editing here.
- (As a side note, please tag the talk page of translated pages with {{translated page}}, so other editors know it's a translation and proper attribution is maintained. You can copy and paste this text, replacing the default parameters with the two-letter language code and the name of the article on the other wiki: {{translated page|SourceLanguageCode|SourcePageTitle}}. For example, the template for Amorphous globosus would be {{translated page|de|Amorphous globosus}}.) ♠PMC♠ (talk) 21:12, 28 June 2022 (UTC)
- I see that you went on to create Martin Aagård an hour after I left the above message, in a completely untranslated state. You need to stop this. It is disruptive and liable to introduce errors to Wikipedia. If you persist, I will block you from mainspace until you learn to engage with other editors. ♠PMC♠ (talk) 22:34, 28 June 2022 (UTC)
- Okay, based on the below speedy deletion messages you are still doing this, so I have blocked you from mainspace. I would be happy to unblock you as soon you respond to any of these talk page messages and acknowledge the issues with what you are doing. ♠PMC♠ (talk) 04:04, 1 July 2022 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Lacey DuValle
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Lacey DuValle requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
A tag has been placed on Valenciennes tramway line 2 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ligne_2_du_tramway_de_Valenciennes. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
