Please help me with...
Hi. I recently expanded upon a paragraph in the description of the Jaguar XJ220's racing history. The article is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jaguar_XJ220 I fully explained the reasons for my changes in the talk box, and included a link to the 1993 Italian GT Supercar series, along with the statement that I had recently come into possession of knowledge not reflected here (specifically, I own one of the 3 XJ220-N cars produced by TWR in 1993, but I did not include my ownership for various reasons), and the link to the 1993 championship clearly lists the other 2 cars and their drivers. These changes were removed by U1 Quattro, stating that "there were no reliable sources in support of this". I am unsure what "this" refers to, as I added a number of facts about the car. Clearly there were 3 cars built by TWR, not one car as his revision states, and as the owner of one of these cars I can attest to the modifications made to the car as far as reduction in weight, changes to chassis and brakes, and increase in power. I am not well versed in how to use the editor, and I have no idea how to get in touch with U1Quattro to ask him what it is he is referring to when he says that there are no reliable sources in support of this. I would like to know what I did wrong that caused him to remove my edit so that I may offer more substantive information in the future. However, the entry U1Quattro reverted to is clearly wrong, so how do I resolve this difference, and how do I find out which part of my edit is not supported by reliable sources? I'd like to avoid making mistakes in the future, and be able to contact the editor who revised my edits directly to resolve any differences. If you could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Drsolly57 (talk • contribs) 22:07, 16 May 2020 (UTC)
- Hi there! I see you boldly added information to the Jaguar XJ220 in good faith. It seems that another editor did not feel the web site you provided was a reliable source and reverted your change. The next part of the Wikipedia:BOLD, revert, discuss cycle is for you to start an explanation at the article talk page - Talk:Jaguar XJ220 - where you can explain your edit in more detail than you can fit in the edit summary. Hopefully other editors will join in on the discussion, and you can all come to a consensus on how to improve the article. Happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 22:49, 16 May 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Hi Drsolly, I saw your recent issues and after five minutes of research I found your car, but I realize that those pages also offer up a whole lot of other information. If you would like to remove anything I posted on the XJ220 talkpage out of privacy concerns you have my full permission to do so. Anyhow, I live an hour away from you; if you ever take your car to any post-Covid Cars and Coffees I would love to see it in the metal! Best, Mr.choppers | ✎ 02:36, 7 June 2020 (UTC)
