Thanks

Hey Drcrazy102, thanks a bunch for clarifying things. Now do you think that a "ducky" comment is grounds for deletion per WP:AGF? I'm asking because the comment almost looks like an unjustified personal attack (I could be wrong though). Umpire Empire (talk) 13:55, 24 October 2015 (UTC)

In general, personal attacks are iffy if it is a one-off event unless it is blatantly directed at you with serious accusations/insults. If there is a series of such comments directed at you by the same editor, then it would probably constitute a personal attack though you may want to clarify things with the user involved. However, in regards to the specific talk-page comment, I would suggest reading WP:UP#CMT and WP:OWNTALK which both say that you can remove comments from your own talkpage (subject to WP:3RR). Hope this helps Umpire Empire. Cheers, Drcrazy102 (talk) 01:36, 25 October 2015 (UTC)

Thanks Miniapolis for the copy-edit, sorry the reply is so late; I saw you put this up and then forgot to reply until now. I haven't had much of a chance to go over the article recently (or wiki in general), but from what I did see you did a very good job. Good luck on the clerk trainee-ship(?). DRN

G'day DrCrazy, I know there is no WP:DEADLINE, but have we reached an impasse at DRN, or are you still looking at sources? Feels like we've fallen at the first hurdle. Regards, Peacemaker67 (crack... thump) 06:04, 29 October 2015 (UTC)

G'day to you too Peacemaker67; I'm just recovering from a very busy period. I haven't had much time to look over sources yet but I will certainly post up a summary and request statements by either tomorrow or Friday. (I'd try to do it now but my phone can't handle the computing speed needed and crashes too often) Sorry for such a large delay, I will be back on the case in the next 24/48 hrs,and I hope the Stepinac editing is going smoothly. Cheers, Drcrazy102 (talk) 07:01, 29 October 2015 (UTC)
No worries. Steadily chipping away at it. Peacemaker67 (crack... thump) 07:30, 29 October 2015 (UTC)

DRN dispute

Hi Drcrazy102. I started this DRN post because I needed a solution to this problem on the question whether the British Empire was a Superpower. The reality is that it was, although some say during, before or by the 20th century, but it was and I can provide you the sources and references in any doubt you might have.

One user (Cliftonian) agreed with me and agreed to a compromise, and so did I. Yet after thinking we reached a compromise after agreeing to one, Snowded deliberately deleted the compromise along with other minor grammatical/fixes edits I did.

Snowded continued to say that every edit I do on the page should go in the talk page (which I did) and lecture me on Wikipedia policy when he in fact deliberately lets everyone else edit the page except me as seen here. And when I tried to get him to focus on the topic in-hand, he continued to say that I had no consensus when I actually Do. Wiki-Ed was more reasonable yet he only repeats his view without providing evidence or sources and Snowded simply because he says so. Snowded's double-morality got worse when he accused me of canvassing, edit-warring and personal attacks. First, I went to Bishonen and Cliftonian because I knew them for seeing their efficiency on resolving problems whether they agreed or disagreed with me, Second, when he deleted my edits, I never reverted his edits instead took it to the talk page, Third, I never posted any personal about him whatsoever, and you can check in our talk pages and decide for yourself. Not to mention, when I brought this incident to DRN, instead of arguing about the topic, he decided to go through my history and block logs and look for accusations to degrade me as seen here instead of concentrating on the topic in dispute. And in response to why he only deletes my edits and not others despite providing legitimate reasons was this despite not providing any concrete reasons himself. I tried to convince both Wiki-Ed and Snowded that the compromise version should be put in the article and added new arguments but again Snowded didn't even read of view the sources I provided him and continued to lecture me intending to divert the attention away from the topic-in-discussion. Again, I have consensus, sources and references yet Snowded constantly disregards the reasoning repeating the same argument everytime without any support, references or sources. Again, it's all here and here and the reason I write to you is because of your post on the dispute page, in case Snowded wants to dishonestly accuse me of canvassing again. Sorry for the troubles. I didn't want this post to be this long, but felt that you needed to know what was going on. I don't wan't to stress you out with my message. (N0n3up (talk) 21:03, 30 October 2015 (UTC))
