Patience is a virtue only for those waiting in line - mine

Hi! I am a Swiss-American that considers himself a citizen of the world. I grew up in South America (14 years), and also lived in Japan and Switzerland.

I studied at the University of Richmond, in Virginia. Richmond was ranked #1 in Southern US Universities until 2005, when it was moved to the first tier in the Liberal Art Universities category. I completed a 4-year concentration in Corporate Finance and Investments in 2003. After that, I received an offer to work in NYC. Hence, I moved to New York City, in the Meatpacking District. Often, I can be spotted frolicking in some lounges and clubs in this area. This does not help my productivity at work, but I work hard to play hard.

And work is hard. I currently work at PricewaterhouseCoopers, in its US Headquarters in NYC. PricewaterhouseCoopers is a Big 4 firm, and is also the largest professional services firm in the world. Needless to say, i am very proud to work with PwC, since it is one of the most respected companies in the world. Fortune named in its 2005 survey of 100 best companies to work for. PwC was also rated #1 "ideal employer" by business school undergrads in 2005 and #2 overall. [1] [2]

My main area of expertise is IPO development and qualification of S-1 registrations for many of our Software, Infocomm & Biotech clients. I also deal with K1's which are produced through an attestation on the financial statements/portfolios of our VC clients. PwC dominates the VC sector with about 53% of the US market share.

My interests are extremely broad. Because of my job, I am actively interested in following market trends and developments in Economics, Capital Markets, and the Venture Capital sector in particular. It is also leading me to pursue both a CFA and CPA designations.

I enjoy martial arts and football (soccer) a lot. I play it on a regular basis in or around the Chelsea Piers and Pier 40. I also follow it on TV. FIFA World Cup are a delicacy which I enjoy every 4 years. Other interests include: world history, Futurology, military conflicts, evolution of humanity, physics, statistical inference, the collective mind, European colonialism, and of course, the Wikipedia.

[edit]

Hi, I noticed the message saying you're a World Citizen, I would like to invite you to add {{User:1ne/Userboxes/User world}} to your user page if you wish to proclaim it in a more effective way, and this template will also add you automatically to the Wikipedians with World Citizenship category. :) --Mistress Selina Kyle 23:58, 17 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Pixar in Spanish

[edit]

Hello. I wonder if you would mind taking a look at something. Please take a look at pixar in Spanish on the talk page for List of company name etymologies. There seems to be some debate over whether a certain statement is true, and it's going to take a Spanish speaker to sort it out. What the article really needs, I suppose, is a Spanish speaker who has read The Second Coming of Steve Jobs, by Alan Deutschman, but it's much easier for me to just find Spanish speakers. ;-) Thank you for your attention, and please let me know if you have any questions. —CKA3KA (Skazka) 21:03, 18 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ecuadorian-Peruvian war

[edit]

Hi Dragonlord. Thanks for your note. As a matter of fact, I have not been visiting Wikipedia very often for the past couple of months, but a few days ago I came in to take a look at the articles, and saw that Messhermit has been quite busy lately. Saw he's even added a special section for "heroes" of the war. I agree that something should be done to improve the overall quality and neutrality of the article. Best Regards.Andres C. 05:10, 6 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I clearly have to protest for the way that you are talking about my person. I have not done anything wrong to anyone, and thus I don't theserve this sort of Messhermit is at it again. Are you taking sides in a dispute that so far have not include your person? I request a answer, since this is going to far from being a simple dispute regarding POV, and its now becoming some sort of cruzade against my person. Messhermit 18:14, 10 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, your protest goes unnoticed. For you to protest about my characterization, there would have to be a qualified adjective next to your name. Or a description of a series of actions grounded on blatantly false information. What i claim is that you are re-engaging in a series of edits and deletes, which is factually correct and therefore morally permissible. I take no sides. I see things how they are. You never cite your sources, and as such, i do not feel compelled to prolong my answer any further. Good day.

A request for mediation has been filed with the Mediation Committee that lists you as a party. The Mediation Committee requires that all parties listed in a mediation must be notified of the mediation. Please review the request at Wikipedia:Requests for mediation/Cenepa War, and indicate whether you agree or refuse to mediate. If you are unfamiliar with mediation, please refer to Wikipedia:Mediation. There are only seven days for everyone to agree, so please check as soon as possible.

Per wikipedia policy, i am letting myself know that I am one of the designated mediation parties for a current article dispute Dragonlord kfb 16:22, 22 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Dragonlord kfb. On the issue of the Mediation Request, please note that you have not added yourself to the list of involved parties, nor signed your own acceptance.
Note that I presented a RFM myself last month due to a heavy dispute on the article History of the Ecuadorian-Peruvian territorial dispute (I suggest you to read its Talk Page, especially the last sections). It was not accepted due to Messhermit's refusal:See here. Now the entire issue is in the hands of the Arbitration Committee, which opened a case regarding Messhermit's behavior: [3]. As the subject matter of your RFM involves Messhermit, I would suggest you to add whatever evidence you want to add to this Arbitration case. Regards. Andrés 18:01, 22 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Kaviedes

[edit]

Hi. I wanted to tell you that Kaviedes is now playing for Barcelona SC from Guayaquil. I would change that fact in the article by myself, but its quite complicated as there is some coding (infoboxes, templates I really don't know about that stuff). Dalobuca 17:50, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Awesome addition to the Drakkhen page!
