Barnstar

The Original Barnstar
I feel honoured to present you with this Barnstar for you contributions to Vietnam-related articles. Although it only represents a small part of you effort, I hope you feel motivated to keep up your excellent work! Sp33dyphil (Talk) (Contributions)(I love Wikipedia!) 00:05, 25 January 2011 (UTC)
Thanks! My first. I really appreciate it. ^_^ --dragfyre_ʞןɐʇc 01:26, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

Hi can you improve this article? Super work on Vietnamese railways BTW, hopefully those railway station stubs I created can also be expanded.♦ Dr. Blofeld 10:19, 9 April 2011 (UTC)

Gave it a little once-over just now. The entire "Development" section was a copyvio from a gov't tourism website (not to mention atrociously written), so I deleted it after salvaging a little for the History section (it probably still needs to be checked). I also fleshed out the Transport section. I'll see what I can do besides that. BTW, regarding the changes you made to Da Nang, I might see if I can find a better pic for the infobox; the one you moved up from the Geography section is really nice, but it doesn't depict the city centre and its skyline—that, and it's an extremely tall, too tall for the infobox IMO. --dragfyre_ʞןɐʇc 14:56, 9 April 2011 (UTC)

V-League

I've started the North Vietnam V-League and South Vietnam V-League articles. With the info from the V-League article. --Hockeyben (talk) 17:08, 18 April 2011 (UTC)

OK, great—that should work out. Thanks for adding the reference to both articles, too. It's not the highest quality reference, as it's from a USENET newsgroup (published sources are always better), but in the absence of better sources, it should do. Besides, as long as it's verifiable for now, someone can come through at a later date and add better references. I'll add links in the "See Also" section of V-League so that more people know about it. --dragfyre_ʞןɐʇc 17:16, 18 April 2011 (UTC)

V-League tables

All tables for the V-League going back to 1980 are complete. --Hockeyben (talk) 18:21, 27 April 2011 (UTC)

Sweet! I've added the league infobox to the new articles you've created, so that you can start adding stats about winners, top scorers, relegation, and so on, if you'd like. Winners and top scorers are at V-League, of course. You can also find out further info (relegation, etc) by checking the articles on vi.wiki (see the 2003 article as an example). Since most of the content is table-based, it shouldn't be too hard to tell what's what, even if you can't read Vietnamese. --dragfyre_ʞןɐʇc 19:08, 27 April 2011 (UTC)

Sounds good. I'm currently working on some tables for some other countries, but after I'm done, I can add more info to the V-League articles. Thanks for adding the infoboxes. --Hockeyben (talk) 19:47, 27 April 2011 (UTC)

No problem—I've also posted a note at WikiProject Vietnam inviting others to help out. --dragfyre_ʞןɐʇc 19:54, 27 April 2011 (UTC)

I'll get to the relegation info and top three finishers this weekend, as I have finished the other stuff I was working on.--Hockeyben (talk) 22:50, 29 April 2011 (UTC)

Hi,

I am 94.183.229.69 who removed Bab as a famous people of Shiraz!

I think you are Bahai. If you like, we can have a discussion about Bab and Bahai faith. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.183.229.69 (talkcontribs)

sorry to bother you again but please see the below link and let me know your idea:

Hi,

The reason I am removing Bab is just similar to the reason prevented you to keep my text about Babism here! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.185.227.74 (talk) 14:07, 13 August 2011 (UTC)

Hi,

I am convinced about 'notable' because based on the criteria you provided, major criminals are also notable! or even somebody like 'Heshmat Deraz'. Based on this critera I can accept that Bab is somehow notable. But I would like to know about your opinions about what I stated about Babism and Bahaism. In the meantime please let me know why you have removed the text I was written in your talk page.

Regards — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.185.227.74 (talk) 14:00, 13 August 2011 (UTC)

Vuong Trung Hieu

Hi Mr Dragfyre, I introduced more precise citations on the Vuong Trung Hieu article. Therefore I would like to remove your proposal on the one. Thank you. Have a nice day.TV1181 (talk) 05:19, 23 May 2011 (UTC)

Champa Kingdoms

I heartily endorse your idea of creating a History of the Champa Kingdoms daughter article! Doing so would greatly improve the current Champa article, which has become long, unwieldy and a bit confusing. A new daughter article and a subsequent cleanup and clarification and polishing would mean the Champa article gets upgraded, and that's a big boost for Wikipedia's coverage of the Champa civilization in general. I encourage you to go ahead, be WP:BOLD and create a History of the Champa Kingdoms article, and I'll promise to support you, proofread and revise for you, and also assist with cleanup on the Champa article. --NickDupree (talk) 22:48, 5 June 2011 (UTC)

No? --NickDupree (talk) 16:34, 24 June 2011 (UTC)
Potentially, yes! Sorry about the lag in getting back to you, this month's been a busy one for me IRL. As a result, I haven't been able to follow up with your recommendation to start editing History of Champa; I don't expect I will be able to for the next little while, although I'll try to put a few things together when I have the time. Above all, thanks for indicating your interest. You might also want to post a note at Wikiproject Vietnam to see if anyone else might be interested. --dragfyre_ʞןɐʇc 19:53, 11 July 2011 (UTC)

I noticed you are a participant of the WikiProject Quebec.

The Outline of Quebec was created a few days ago and is under vigorous development. It fills a gap in Wikipedia's set of outlines. It is the 3rd outline to date about a Canadian province/territory.

Outlines form one of the subsystems of Wikipedia's contents navigation system. For more information on outlines, see Wikipedia:Outlines and Wikipedia:WikiProject Outlines.

The goals for the Outline of Quebec is to complete it to as high a standard of quality as possible, and to make it even better than the Outline of Saskatchewan and the Outline of British Columbia.

Once the Outline of Quebec is completed, it will provide an important example to others creating outlines for the remaining provinces and territories of Canada.

Please take a look at the outline to see if you can notice (and fill in) any missing topics. Pictures would also be nice (the rarer and the more interesting, the better).

Thank you.

Sincerely, The Transhumanist 09:50, 24 June 2011 (UTC)

Railway accidents in Vietnam

Hello. My attention is was brought to Railway accidents in Vietnam for a completely unrelated reason, and ,on reflection I had to note it was a good effort - you seem to have contributed a lot to it- thank you and well done.

As such I have nominated it for Wikipedia:Good article - clearly as a major contributor you can't actually do the reviewing! but I would guess that you will be more aware than most of any drawbacks or missing info in the article. Or maybe it is complete? As such comments you can make are welcome.

I also note that Rail transport in Vietnam is better than most, and maybe very close to GA too. Well done again!

I realise that not everyone likes to be bother by such messages. If you are too busy for this sort of thing please accept my apologies. Thank you.Mddkpp (talk) 22:25, 17 February 2012 (UTC)

More

I can't make any real suggestions on improvement - I wondered if the section statistics should be later on, or a subsection of "types of accidents" -I think the references may need tidying so that they are all in the exact same format ie date format etc. I can do that later on, if no-one else does first - if you have any preferences for formatting style on references or want to do it yourself please let me know.

There appears to be a backlog on articles for review so I guess there may be a delay until a reviewer turns up. It's listed in the relevant form eg Wikipedia:Good_article_nominations#TransportMddkpp (talk) 13:40, 26 February 2012 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Faux Namti Bridge, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Hekou (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi, I saw your name in the list of potential Vietnamese translators and hoped to ask for some help. I have developed a machine translation of the named article which is currently at vi.wikipedia/Th%C3%A0nh_vi%C3%AAn:Gregkaye. If you have the time please take a look. On World Religion Day I have taken the liberty to take some of the phrasing from your sandbox (thanks for that!). Is that okay with you? Please review. Wiki-uk (talk) 22:35, 13 January 2015 (UTC)

Asian 10,000 Challenge invite

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 01:54, 20 October 2016 (UTC)
