- @Asilvering hi! I have an article that talks about his trailer editing work: https://filmschoolrejects.com/how-to-cut-a-trailer-for-a-movie-where-no-one-speaks-38e340aac55a/ and this one: https://tribeza.com/arts/ones-to-watch-greg-maclennan-electric-owl-creative/. is the issue that I have too many citations for other things in here? he def has enough articles about him in particular and is a noteworthy subject. thank you! Doubletrouble10 (talk) 02:50, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
- That first one doesn't help for notability purposes, since it's an interview, but I just missed the second. So that's ready for a pass, I think - but can you remove the information that is sources to IMDB, or find a reliable source for it instead? Ping me when you're done that and I'll accept the draft. -- asilvering (talk) 05:30, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Asilvering removed IMDb citation. thanks! would this be more acceptable now? Doubletrouble10 (talk) 07:49, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
- I'm personally not fussed by things like "he edited movie Foo" not having a citation if they're not something that sounds wacky, but you should have citations for things like
MacLennan won the "Best Editing" Award for Seek at the 2021 Chicago Horror Film Festival.
-- asilvering (talk) 19:21, 23 November 2024 (UTC)- @Asilvering I left that citation but linked it to the film festivals direct page instead of his. will that work or does it need a different source? thanks for your help! Doubletrouble10 (talk) 19:27, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
- The best possible source would be the film festival's own website. IMDB isn't a reliable source because it's user-generated. -- asilvering (talk) 23:16, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Asilvering unfortunately they don't have information for 2021 on their website still! IMDb has to be vetted/approved from my understanding. I can remove that sentence if that's what is keeping this from being accepted. again, thanks for all of the help and advice. I appreciate it! Doubletrouble10 (talk) 23:23, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
- Nah, it's not ideal, but it's not something that's critical for acceptance either. I've accepted the article. Thanks for writing it! -- asilvering (talk) 23:28, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
