Welcome!
[edit]Hello, Djmarsay, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Seagull123! You might think that Wikipedia is near completion and doesn't need your help, but that's not true! Wikipedia may seem to be running smoothly on the surface, but we still have many backlogs and problems that need attention, and I would like to thank you so much for helping out. Here are some pages to guide you!
- Introduction and The five pillars of Wikipedia
- Markup guideline (it may seem daunting at first, but it's actually quite easy!) and Simplified Manual of Style
- How to edit a page
Would you like to help to correct the spelling and grammar of some pages? Here's a list of articles you can copyedit! Here's a guide of how to do that.
Would you like to update and increase the accuracy of some of our pages? Here's a list of outdated articles! Remember to cite your sources (This is a helpful guide to get you started).
Would you like to help make Wikipedia better by fighting vandalism? You can and it's very appreciated! Here's a quick and simple guide!
Are you a writer and would like to lengthen a few of our existing articles? This is a list of short articles.
Would like to improve one of our articles in a specific topic and interest? Choose a WikiProject to join here!
Are you a company owner, employee, person, or writer paid to promote pages about you/your client's page or company? Please note that we are not a means of self-promotion. See our guidelines on autobiographies, notability and conflict of interest.
This wiki markup thing is too confusing to me! Don't fret, we have a user-friendly text editor known as VisualEditor. Simply click here, scroll down, tick the check box next to VisualEditor, and click save. If you need help, check out these ways:

[edit]Science and Government moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Science and Government, appears to be misplaced, due to having Articles for Creation templates on it. I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hi Djmarsay. You've added references nfor "Keynes 1951" to A Treatise on Probability, but no such work is defined. I suspect you mean "Keynes 1921", but as you added references for "Harrod 1951" and a cite for "Keynes 1949" I wanted to make sure. If none of this is right and you meant a different work could you add the required cite to the Bibliography section, or let me know what work this refers to? -- LCU ActivelyDisinterested «@» °∆t° 15:22, 7 January 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks,
- Yes, Keynes 1921.
- I had assume that such mangled references would be highlighted when I edit. Something else to check! Djmarsay (talk) 20:40, 7 January 2024 (UTC)
- Unfortunately the error messages for short form refs are off by default. If you wish to turn them on you can by following the guidance here Category:Harv and Sfn template errors (just ask if you have any questions). -- LCU ActivelyDisinterested «@» °∆t° 20:49, 7 January 2024 (UTC)
