DYK for Tuya Soy
On 1 August 2013, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Tuya Soy, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that "Tuya Soy", one of Ivy Queen's better-known songs which featured on a number of compilation albums, failed to chart as a single in Billboard magazine? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Tuya Soy. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBot
We are currently running a study on the effects of adding additional information to SuggestBot's suggestions. Participation in the study is voluntary. Should you wish to not participate in the study, or have questions or concerns, you can find contact information on the SuggestBot study page.
IMPORTANT CHANGES: We have modified the selection of articles SuggestBot suggests and altered the design to incorporate more information about the articles, as described in this explanation.
Note: All columns in this table are sortable, allowing you to rearrange the table so the articles most interesting to you are shown at the top. All images have mouse-over popups with more information.
Changes to SuggestBot's suggestions
We have changed the number of suggested articles and which categories they are selected from. The number of stubs has been greatly reduced, the number of articles needing sources doubled, and two new categories added (orphans and unencyclopaedic articles). We have also modified the layout of the suggestions and added sortable columns with various types of information about each article. The first two columns are:
- Views/Day
- Daily average number of views an article's had over the past 14 days.
- Quality
- Predicted article quality on a 1- to 3-star scale. Placing your cursor over the stars should give you a pop-up describing the article's quality (Low/Medium/High), current assessment class, and predicted assessment class.
The method we use to predict article quality also allows us to assess whether an article might need specific types of work in order to improve its quality. The work needed might not correspond to cleanup tags added to the article, since our method is not based on those. We have added five columns reflecting this work assessment, where a red X indicates improvement is needed. Placing your cursor over an X should give you a pop-up with a short description of the work needed. The five columns seek to answer the following five questions:
- Content
- Is more content needed?
- Headings
- Does this article have an appropriate section structure?
- Images
- Is the number of illustrative images about right?
- Links
- Does this article link to enough other Wikipedia articles?
- Sources
- For its length, is there an appropriate number of citations to sources in this article?
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. We appreciate that you have signed up to receive suggestions regularly, your contributions make Wikipedia better — thanks for helping!
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please let us know on SuggestBot's talk page. Regards from Nettrom (talk), SuggestBot's caretaker. -- SuggestBot (talk) 11:36, 1 August 2013 (UTC)

Sentimiento Chile cert
I had a quick look at your Sentimiento and I noticed that it said it was certified 10x plat., but it doesn't say it in the article. Only the sales for the country. Mind clarifying? Erick (talk) 10:58, 19 August 2013 (UTC)

José!!
What's up? I've been more busier than usual and will still be until early August where I get a two week break. Erick (talk) 21:18, 24 July 2013 (UTC)
- I don't know if you know, but I live in Florida (unless you meant the city in Puerto Rico :P). I saw the FAC and I couldn't help but facepalm. I hate situations like that where it becomes a lose-lose situation (although it's never happened to me, but I've seen it happen). I heard 3.0 online and it's the best Marc has done in ages since Valio la Pena. I agree with Allmusic's review, but not the score (I give it four stars). The reason I'm waiting till next year is because the album just came out and I expect information to rapidly change as he continues to promote the album. Erick (talk) 17:20, 27 July 2013 (UTC)
- Yeah Orlando is a fifteen to twenty minute drive from where I live. I live nearby a plaza which has a Hispanic grocery store, Hispanic barber shop, Hispanic clothing store, and a Colombian bakery store. Erick (talk) 18:09, 27 July 2013 (UTC)
Something has been on my mind for years and it's the Portal:Latin American music. I've been wanting to get it featured portal, but I waited a long time until the time is right. I was going to announce it to everyone at the WikiProject Latin music talk page after we get 100 GAs and/or 5 FAs. Now you know earlier than anyone else. :P Erick (talk) 19:17, 31 July 2013 (UTC)
- Oh it's sooner than you think. Javier's Solo just got GA and now we have 92 GAs!! Just 8 more to go, plus I just nominated Fruta Fresca. Erick (talk) 19:53, 31 July 2013 (UTC) =D
- I'm the same way. Quality over quantity, amirite?
- Oooh, I saw the quote from Celia Cruz on your user page. Nice pick! Erick (talk) 20:32, 31 July 2013 (UTC)
- Ay, they didn't call her the Queen of Salsa for nothing. Seeing your quote also reminded me of wanting to do an article for Frankie Ruiz. EDIT: Another thing that's on my head is Barrio Fino. I'm considering doing that album after Mi Tierra by Gloria Estefan since it's one of the most important albums. Erick (talk) 20:45, 31 July 2013 (UTC)
- Yeah I mean, even though I'm not really into reggaeton, Daddy Yankee is the man. I've enjoyed some of his singles over the years and his music is great. I have Barrio Fino at home and I enjoyed somewhat. I gotta give credit where its due, this album article just needs to be fixed. Plus, for some reason, I enjoy working on albums that were popular all over Latin America. I have no idea why, but I do! XD Erick (talk) 02:07, 1 August 2013 (UTC)
- I'm into her really much, but I respect her activism and she gained my sympathy after you-know-who said to her. I notice that you are into reggaeton as I am into salsa. I mean, aside 3.0, I'm also doing Salsa Giants right now. Erick (talk) 03:08, 1 August 2013 (UTC)
- Ack! I meant, I'm not into her, but I respect her activism and got my sympathy after what you-know-who said to her. Salsa Giants is a live album by Sergio George which was recorded last year at the North Sea Jazz festival in Curacao and features artists like Marc Anthony, Luis Enrique, Tito Nieves yadda yadda yadda. It isn't a a remarkable album by any means because the songs sound too much like the original recordings, but I like it for it is. Erick (talk) 04:08, 1 August 2013 (UTC)

Ever heard of a site called Promo Only? They have remixes that you may not that have existed. It's where I learn about salsa/bachata/reggaeton version of Pop Songs (and for some reason banda version too...) Erick (talk) 21:35, 5 August 2013 (UTC)
- No, they're just promos for DJs. They issue new and upcoming singles/remixes every month. For Latin music, they have Tropical Latin, Latin Pop, and Regional Mexican. Erick (talk) 01:49, 6 August 2013 (UTC)
- Oh nice! I had considered being a DJ once, but I fell out of it once college took over. I still like making playlists to this day though. As for the king's new song (lol), erm, I think it will take time for me to warm it up. At first I didn't like "You", but I enjoy it now. The prince also has a new song. Coincidence they both release a new single around the same time for their new album to be released by the same record label? I think not! EDIT: Surprise, surprise, both songs are already doing well in the charts. Erick (talk) 03:16, 6 August 2013 (UTC)
- Now that you mention it, this year's Latin music has been lackluster in my opinion. My top five picks so far are "Limbo", "Vivir Mi Vida", "Te Perdiste Mi Amor", "Todo Mi Amor Eres Tu", and "Como Le Gusta Tu Cuerpo". Erick (talk) 19:15, 6 August 2013 (UTC)

Hey, remember when I "promised" to do a Romeo Santos song? Yeah, that's one been itching me for a while. I haven't forgotten about Royce awards list either and did the Dominican awards too.
- Sure no problem. I'm considering doing Incondicional next after Promise. Erick (talk) 19:51, 18 August 2013 (UTC)
- Hmm, didn't know you were into that. BTW, I can't get "Darte un Beso" off my head. Especially the main chorus. O_O Erick (talk) 22:21, 18 August 2013 (UTC)
- I meant the MTV awards. :P But yeah, I was gonna ask if you heard of "Ya No Queda Nada". I think I got that answer now. XD Too bad the song won't be nominated the Latin Grammy. I notice how much they hate bachata music. Erick (talk) 23:08, 18 August 2013 (UTC)
- Did I forget to mention they're predictable too? I knew who was going to win last year even before the nominations were announced. Yeah, yeah. I like that song too, one of the best songs of 2004. So MTV awards huh? I think Javier will like that. Erick (talk) 23:39, 18 August 2013 (UTC)
- Whoops, I though you meant the MTVs in general. Erm, so anyway, just gotta do that Billboard awards. I'll see if he got any Mexican Oye noms, though I doubt it. Erick (talk) 03:59, 19 August 2013 (UTC)

So, Santos has a new duet with Enrique Iglesias. Well that came out of nowhere. But hey, if it means Santos getting more attention, I guess it can't be a bad thing, right? And um, we're nearly done with Royce's awards right? I finished the BMAs and other stuff like you asked. Erick (talk) 23:41, 25 August 2013 (UTC)
- Hrm, well yeah, I mean I guess I shouldn't be surprised after Santos's guest artists on his debut album. And no worries, it's not like the sandbox is going anywhere (I think). Erick (talk) 02:28, 27 August 2013 (UTC)
So um. I created every Romeo Santos singles article up till Llevame Contigo. Why? Because I can. :P But seriously, I just thought it'd convenient for the album article page.. Erick (talk) 06:37, 29 August 2013 (UTC)
