Speedy deletion nomination of Louisville Beauty Academy
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Louisville Beauty Academy, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. A tag has been placed on Louisville Beauty Academy, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
- It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

[edit]Hi, thanks for message. You can sign your comments automatically using four tildes ~~~~. Please add your messages to the bottom of the talk page, or they may be overlooked. I deleted your article because
- it did not provide adequate independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the company, press releases, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what the company claims or interviewing its management. Your references relied largely on your own website, not an independent source
- It's not clear how you meet the notability criteria. To show notability you need hard verifiable facts such as the number of employees, turnover or profits, but you just give us spam.
- it was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Examples of claims presented as fact include: started one vision and live with one single slogan – to provide an affordable and flexible with high quality education... highly motivated and passionate... delivering affordable, flexible and with quality education in beauty domain. Our goal is to provide both superior educational experience, and tremendous value for our students along with the exceptional services to our customers— pure spam
- the article was a copyright violation of this page. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain. The copied site was marked Louisville Beauty Academy LLC 2016-2017. All Rights Reserved.. We require that text posted here can be used, modified and distributed for any purpose, including commercial but there is no indication that the copied site allows free use. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient. But in any case the copyrighted text is far too promotional to be useful for Wikipedia's purposes, so there would not be any point in your jumping through all the hoops that are required.
- Our goal... our students... our customers. You have an obvious conflict of interest and you must declare it. Since you work directly or indirectly for the organisation, or otherwise are acting on its behalf, you are very strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly. Regardless, if you are paid directly or indirectly by the organisation you are writing about, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Ditranllc. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form:
{{paid|user=Ditranllc|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. Please provide the required disclosure. Note that editing with a COI is discouraged, but permitted as long as it is declared. Concealing a COI can lead to a block. Please do not edit further until you respond to this message.
The fact that other articles have not been deleted doesn't help you, either they met the criteria or should be deleted as well. See other stuff exists. The Empire Beauty Schools is clearly notable with, 100 branches, and the text isn't too spammy.I've tagged fro the issues with sourcing that you identified.
Before attempting to write an article again,
- check that the topic meets the notability criteria linked above, and make sure that you can find independent third party sources if it does.
- read this important guidance.
- Reply to the COI request above

Ditranllc (talk) 15:39, 8 September 2017 (UTC)-Jim, much appreciate nicely constructive feedback, and would love to learn from you further
1-I understand all your point about being legit with proof 2-You recognized already that I am new, and learning to catch up with Wikipedia expected format and all info help for sure for this article specifically and future article - so be patient and continuous constructive with me 3-Louisville Beauty Academy Source of article - All school regardless of big or small (Empire Beauty Schools included or Louisville Beauty Academy - legit or not in Kentucky is determined by State Board of Kentucky list of school here on KY Governement website - https://kbhc.ky.gov/Pages/Cosmetology-Schools.aspx. So for 1, legit or not Louisville Beauty Academy is DEFINITELY legit and a credible source. Secondly, when you google and all linked or source either social media or not tell you about the same info, then it is definitely legit 4-About promotional or advertising tone writing is a bit hard for me to grasp - and Please guide how NOT to, because information is sharing as it is - so if the slogan is "empower community with beauty knowledge", then why not just share it as is. Do you want us to write "LBA has a goal to empower community and here is its slogan with link to it?" - It's hard. - I write research paper such as this one http://louisvillebeautyacademy.net/nail-industry-origin-and-correlation-to-vietnamese-population/ and yes, I do ensure all source are accounted for - JIM GUIDE ME HOW TO GET THIS FIRST PAGE OFF IN A GOOD STATE as Wikipedia require
- You can sign your comments automatically using four tildes ~~~~ Thanks for disclosure of COI. Note that you must post the declaration in the last bullet point on your user page, so it's transparent to other editors. Nobody is questioning the fact that it's a real legitimate school, it's what you have written abou it that is problematic. It's a copyright violation so can't be used here, you must write in your own words. Because you have a COI your text is highly promotional, not the neutral point of view we require here. You can share information but not opinions like highly motivated and passionate and the other examples I gave above. For all but the most basic facts, such as numbers of staff, you have to give independent third-party sources. What you have written in your research papers is original research, and neither that nor the school website are acceptable independent sources, nor is social media.
- You can give your official slogan, but put it in quotation marks as you have done above, to make it clear that it is an official slogan, not just another spammy opinion
- I've already suggested that you follow this guide to writing an article; see also Port Charlotte High School as an example of an educational article and note the emphasis on facts and independent references rather than personal opinions and self-sourced claims. If you want to try again, write your article as a draft first.
- I'm going to remove the copy of your message from my talk page to keep all the discussion in one place here Jimfbleak - talk to me? 06:18, 9 September 2017 (UTC)

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product.
