[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Metallica, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Your edits were reverted as they, while NOT vandalism, were un needed as individual dates are not to be wikilinked unless it's important, such as band formation date, band split date, etc. But the date an album is released is only for that albums article. And years are not to be wikilinked unless important. Thanks, --Crash Underride 00:11, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, DisturbedTim90! I am 21655 and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

RE: Time zones.
[edit]Oh, it's fine. I do know that on Wikipedia we usually list things for "the next day" by UTC. Happy editing. --HELLØ ŦHERE 21:37, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
FA nom
[edit]Hey, DisturbedTim90! I noticed that you sometimes edit Indestructible (Disturbed album). I would like to ask if you'd like to participate in an FA nomination process for this article. If you would, please say so here. The purpose in having you notify me at the article's talk page, rather than through our own talk pages, is because you are not the only user I am requesting this of, and I would like to keep all participants' names in one area to be organized and tidy. Thanks for your time. --The Guy complain edits 02:46, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
I hope you're willing to join in on the FAC discussion for the Indestructible album, as "The Guy" is wondering why you haven't joined in.--Almax999 04:23, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
The article Disturbed's fifth studio album has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Not enough information about the album, no tracks, no title. The band just entered the studio.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. TheWeakWilled (T * G) 12:53, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
Articles for deletion nomination of Disturbed's fifth studio album
[edit]I have nominated Disturbed's fifth studio album, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Disturbed's fifth studio album. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.
Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. TheWeakWilled (T * G) 12:33, 19 February 2010 (UTC)

Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello DisturbedTim90! Your additions to Zodiac Killer have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright and plagiarism issues. Here are the key points:
- Limited quotation: You may only copy or translate a small portion of a source. Any direct quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks (") and properly cited using an inline citation. More information is available on the non-free content page. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners.
- Paraphrasing: Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information in your own words. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues and is not permitted; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources as appropriate.
- Image use guidelines: In most scenarios, only freely licensed or public domain images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria; Wikipedia:Plain and simple non-free content guide may help with determining a file's eligibility.
- Copyrighted material donation: If you hold the copyright to the content you want to copy, or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license the text for publication here. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Copying and translation within Wikipedia: Wikipedia articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. For translation, see Help:Translation § License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Persistent failure to comply may result in being blocked from editing. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 02:20, 3 August 2024 (UTC)
