User talk:Dilgimli
A tag has been placed on Le Canard Violet, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. ~Matticus TC 00:34, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
why u wanna delete that huh?— Preceding unsigned comment added by Dilgimli (talk • contribs)
- Specifically, because it does not meet Wikipedia's criteria for notability and verifiability, especially pertaining to web-based content. To be eligible for inclusion in Wikipedia, something must be documented by third parties in reliable sources. YouTube amateur films rarely meet Wikipedia's notability requirements, and because the article does not assert the importance of the topic it is eligible for speedy deletion. Please, don't let this put you off contributing to Wikipedia, but you should familiarise yourself with what Wikipedia is not before considering creating an article. Thank you. ~Matticus TC 00:42, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- Also, please don't create duplicate copies of the article, as you did at Le Canard Violet (film). There should be one copy of any given Wikipedia article only, and redirects should be used for synonyms, common misspellings, etc. ~Matticus TC 00:50, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Who is a Jew?. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you.--Xnuala 02:27, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
- Please stop. If you continue to vandalise Wikipedia, as you did to Who is a Jew?, you will be blocked. --Xnuala 02:38, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
