Thanks for uploading Image:The Ambassador theater of St. Louis (demolished).jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 10:05, 20 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading Image:Spyros Skouras 2 (Spyros Skouras at the famous Stork Club in Manhattan).jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. feydey (talk) 10:19, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:The Ambassador theater of St. Luis (demolished).jpg

[edit]
File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:The Ambassador theater of St. Luis (demolished).jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 02:24, 4 April 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ricky81682 (talk) 02:24, 4 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Rainbow (band), please cite a reliable source for your addition. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Gyrofrog (talk) 16:29, 6 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't make changes that are not supported by reliable sources as defined in WP:MEDRS for health-related content and WP:RS for all other content. Thanks Jytdog (talk) 19:28, 6 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome

[edit]
Welcome to Wikipedia and Wikiproject Medicine

Welcome to Wikipedia. We have compiled a list of guidance for students and new editors:

  1. Use high quality sources for medical content. This is described at WP:MEDRS. High quality sources include review articles (note this is not the same as peer reviewed), position statements from national and internationally recognized bodies (think CDC, WHO, NICE, FDA, etc), and major medical textbooks. Lower quality sources may be removed.
  2. References go after not before punctuation (see WP:MOS)
  3. We use very few capital letters and very little bolding. Only the first word of a heading is usually capitalized.
  4. Do not use the url from the inside net of your university library. The rest of the world cannot see it.
  5. If you use textbooks we need page numbers.
  6. Please format your references as explained at WP:MEDHOW or like the ones already in the article. This is simple once you get the PMID / ISBN.
  7. Every sentence can be referenced. We reference more densely than other sources.
  8. Never "copy and paste" from sources. We run copy and paste detection software on new edits.
  9. Section order typically follows the instructions here at WP:MEDMOS
  10. Please talk to us. Wikipedia works by collaboration and this takes place on the talk pages of both articles and user.

Again welcome and thank you for joining us.

P.S. Please share this with your fellow learners and instructors.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Reference errors on 27 March

Hello, I'm ReferenceBot. I have automatically detected that an edit performed by you may have introduced errors in referencing. It is as follows:

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, ReferenceBot (talk) 00:21, 28 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Source issues

[edit]

Hi, Didaktron. I've undone some of your recent additions. Please read wp:MEDRS, particularly the requirement for secondary sourcing. This differs from what practicing scientists are accustomed to, but is necessary for an encyclopedia written by anonymous editors. We also try to avoid putting the same content into multiple articles, per wp:REFSPAM. If you have a connection to the paper, the authors, or the product, please also read wp:COI. References

[edit]

Remember that when adding content about health, please only use high-quality reliable sources as references. We typically use review articles, major textbooks and position statements of national or international organizations. WP:MEDHOW walks you through editing step by step. A list of resources to help edit health content can be found here. The edit box has a build in citation tool to easily format references based on the PMID or ISBN. We also provide style advice about the structure and content of medicine-related encyclopedia articles. The welcome page is another good place to learn about editing the encyclopedia. If you have any questions, please feel free to drop me a note. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 18:56, 4 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest in Wikipedia

[edit]

hi Didaktron. I was looking at your edits about magnesium l–threonate and they are promotional in tone and are not sourced well. I've been editing about health and working on conflict of interest issues for several years, and in my experience edits like this are made by two kinds of editors - people who have a conflict of interest, and fans (what we call "advocates"). There is no way to tell the difference based on edits alone, so I just wanted to ask (and it is a real question) - do you have some connection with people in the dietary supplement industry who are marketing magnesium l–threonate? (I am asking if you have anything to disclose per the WP:COI guideline and the WP:PAID policy) Thanks in advance for your tolerance with regard to my asking. My understanding is that the Old Testament is the holy scripture of the Jews but that it was first written down in Greek (the Septuagint). All Jewish written versions are later. Didaktron (talk) 08:38, 1 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm JimRenge. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Meditation, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please do not add health related content with inappropriate sources as you did here [2]. I had removed mental health related content and the citation which does not comply with WP:MEDRS (primary source) [3] but you added it again.
