File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Arfakhanum.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Arfakhanum.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.
If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.
Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 08:09, 31 October 2024 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of File:Sunayanaf.jpg
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on File:Sunayanaf.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.threads.net/@sunayanaf/post/C9AZrk7vP2u. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Speedy deletion nomination of File:Sunayanafozdar.jpg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:Sunayanafozdar.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a copyright violation and has no credible claim of fair use or permission. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

Notice of noticeboard discussion
[edit]There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you.Regards, Aafi (talk) 06:48, 1 November 2024 (UTC)
- I wanted to clarify the copyright of the pics Dhwani221 (talk) 09:04, 1 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Dhwani221: So clarify. Why did you upload pictures owned by others as own-work and how did you release them under a free license? For example, how is the file c:File:Anjanaom.jpg your own work given that it clearly comes from Instagram. You re-uploaded File:Sunayanafozdar.jpg after it was deleted on Commons as a copyright violation. You did not stop there, you even added a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 License to this re-uploaded file. Could you explain what makes you do blatant copyright violations despite a block on Wikimedia Commons and despite so many warnings? Regards, Aafi (talk) 09:10, 1 November 2024 (UTC)

Files need to be uploaded
[edit]Hello, Dhwani221. I noticed that your recent edit to Shalu Kurian added a link to an image on an external website or on your computer, or to a file name that does not exist on Wikipedia's server. For technical and policy reasons it is not possible to use images from external sources on Wikipedia. Most images you find on the internet are copyrighted and cannot be used on Wikipedia, or their use is subject to certain restrictions. If the image meets Wikipedia's image use policy, consider uploading it to Wikipedia yourself or request that someone else upload it. See the image tutorial to learn about wiki syntax used for images. Thank you. Sam Sailor 10:32, 1 November 2024 (UTC)

Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello Dhwani221! While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright and plagiarism issues. Here are the key points:
- Limited quotation: You may only copy or translate a small portion of a source. Any direct quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks (") and properly cited using an inline citation. More information is available on the non-free content page. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners.
- Paraphrasing: Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information in your own words. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues and is not permitted; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources as appropriate.
- Image use guidelines: In most scenarios, only freely licensed or public domain images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria; Wikipedia:Plain and simple non-free content guide may help with determining a file's eligibility.
- Copyrighted material donation: If you hold the copyright to the content you want to copy, or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license the text for publication here. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Copying and translation within Wikipedia: Wikipedia articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. For translation, see Help:Translation § License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Persistent failure to comply may result in being blocked from editing. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 14:43, 1 November 2024 (UTC)
- Do I need to add it in the Wikimedia. I can't do it as I am blocked by Aafi Dhwani221 (talk) 14:48, 1 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Dhwani221, you cannot claim images by others as your own. A simple example: selfies of Arfa Khanum are her own work, not yours. We need permission from her that she releases them under a free license. Regards, Aafi (talk) 14:54, 1 November 2024 (UTC)
- Arfa ji is a kind hearted person and she has given the permission Dhwani221 (talk) 15:20, 1 November 2024 (UTC)
- For her selfies (only), ask her to send us a permission release on permissions-en@wikimedia.org. The release should indicate the links of now deleted files (only her selfies). For other regular pictures, permissions need to come from the photographer. However, that does no way make these images your own work. Regards, Aafi (talk) 15:27, 1 November 2024 (UTC)
- and if you continue making disruptive edits like your recent edit on Arfa Khanum Sherwani, you might also end up losing your editing privileges. Regards, Aafi (talk) 17:10, 1 November 2024 (UTC)
