Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Dgriswold605, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Information icon Hello, I'm Discospinster. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Sex reassignment surgery—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help desk. Thanks. ... discospinster talk 01:09, 11 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure what you are trying to do, but copying and pasting the contents of your sandbox into an article is not the way to go about editing. Your version omits references and is improperly formatted. If you need help with editing you can contact me on my talk page. ... discospinster talk 01:18, 11 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

In particular you should (re-)read the instructions on your course page:
Editing an existing article?
  • NEVER copy and paste your draft of an article over the entire article. Instead, edit small sections at a time.
  • Copy your edits into the article. Make many small edits, saving each time, and leaving an edit summary. Never replace more than one to two sentences without saving!
