Ways to improve Dimpy Bhalotia
[edit]Hello, Devesh117,
Thank you for creating Dimpy Bhalotia.
I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:
Large portions of this article appear to be copied from Bhalotia's own website which would be a copyright violation
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Paul W}}

Dimpy Bhalotia - possible conflict of interest?
[edit]I am puzzled as to why after a couple of days of detailed editing of the Dimpy Bhalotia article, particularly between yourself and User:Lopifalko, that you saw fit to cut and paste previously removed content of dubious notability, including unreliable and/or broken links (that Zealous one - "example.com" again - for instance, which I have repeatedly flagged)? Apart from a handful of initial edits, you also seem to be solely focused on this article. Do you have any association with the article's subject? Paul W (talk) 18:19, 18 August 2022 (UTC)
- @Paul W Hi Paul. This is my first page. I am learning and trying to make it perfect before I create another page. I want to create pages on many more photographers and anything related to photography books and galleries. But I want to concentrate on the first I created and finish it before I move on to another one. I will remove the zealous co. I thought the previous citation didn’t work hence you flagged it. My bad!
- Lot of other content was removed by user:lopifalko. Which later I put in with correct citation and it got approved.
- I am still learning and I respect and appreciate your inputs Paul. It’s helping me to learn and understand.
- Please do let me know if something else is not right and I will immediately remove it. You have the experience and expertise in this Paul. I apologise if I made a big mistake but my intentions are all good. Devesh117 (talk) 18:34, 18 August 2022 (UTC)
- When I first saw this page (during a routine New Page Patrol), I flagged it for possible copyright violation as over 60% of the content appeared plagiarised from DB's About page. I accept that this may have been an honest mistake by a new editor during early stage article creation. User:Lopifalko also made a series of edits (well-justified by reference to the Manual of Style, WP:MoS, notability guidelines, etc), and I felt the article had achieved a degree of consensus (WP:EDITCON) prior to your recent edits. Striving for perfection is laudable, but, particularly for a biography of a living person, "Perfection is not required: Wikipedia is a work in progress" (see WP:PERFECTION). I would suggest that you move on to other subjects, maybe improving/expanding existing articles on photography-related subjects; this will help you learn more about Wikipedia, and will show you are here to build an encyclopedia (WP:HERE) and not just promote one particular subject. - To my mind there is a WP:COI. I removed an unsourced year of birth. At the time, the subject's own about page did not include a year of birth and neither could I find it elsewhere. Soon after, Devesh117 re-added the year of birth, with a source of the subject's own about page, which now included "born 1987". The Google cache confirmed that earlier the page had not included a year of birth. -Lopifalko (talk) 20:55, 18 August 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks, Lopifalko. Devesh117 please see WP:COI: "Conflict of interest (COI) editing involves contributing to Wikipedia about yourself, family, friends, clients, employers, or your financial and other relationships." If this applies, please make appropriate disclosures. Paul W (talk) 07:33, 19 August 2022 (UTC)

I have sent you a note about a page you started
[edit]Hello, Devesh117. Thank you for creating Rija Randrianasolo. User:Netherzone, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:
Thanks for creating the article. It could be improved by adding more biographical content about him - some of the citations already in the article could be sources for these improvements.

Isadora Romero moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Isadora Romero, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
