Remember to always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes (~~~~)
at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to this (your talk) page, and a timestamp.
To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own private sandbox for use any time. Perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put

Orphaned non-free media (File:Symphony Of Life DVD cover.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Symphony Of Life DVD cover.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 05:13, 9 January 2013 (UTC)
RE: Symphony of Life
[edit]I don't understand why we need two article discussing the same subject, the split in fact is mor confusing than what I did, two pages for the same information?:
Symphony of Life is the fourth live album released by Australian singer and songwriter Tina Arena on 23 November 2012.[1] The album was filmed and recorded at the Melbourne Arts Centre's Hamer Hall during a series of sold-out concerts for her Australian fans.

And that's just the lead section. The only difference between both articles are the charts. I don't see how people can became confuse when CD/DVDs have shared the same page, for example I Am... World Tour. SOF CD/DVD can easily be merged into one page. Frankly, I see no reason to have the same information repeated twice when we can have it in one place, the DVD page is not independent as it written now (I recommend you to read Wikipedia:NALBUMS#Recordings).
On a side note I don't know how can an album chart at 60 when the chart has 50 places, "ARIA Top 50 Albums" is a wrong term. Tbhotch.™ Grammatically incorrect? Correct it! See terms and conditions. 12:39, 12 January 2013 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Tina Arena may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Hello, I'm Yintan. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Tina Arena, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Yintan 12:22, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
Tina Arena as composer
[edit]Why did you have to delete her name on the list? When in fact the reference I put clearly states that she is an Australian composer and everybody knows she writes her own songs. Please help me understand. DerrickGavinLam
- Hi! Yeah, there's no doubt that she writes her own songs. As per the page, it's a list of "composers of classical music, contemporary music and/or film soundtracks", contemporary music being modern classical music. Please forgive me if she has composed this type of music, but otherwise I'd say she was better classified as a song-writer.Doctorhawkes (talk) 00:30, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
Thanks, Doctorhawkes. I have been a big fan of Arena's and most of her songs that she has composed falls under the Adult Contemporary bucket. :)
Speedy deletion nomination of File:Tina Arena at the 2014 G'Day USA Los Angeles Black Tie Gala on January 11, 2014.jpg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:Tina Arena at the 2014 G'Day USA Los Angeles Black Tie Gala on January 11, 2014.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria. If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{Non-free fair use}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the file. If the file has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
