[edit]Thanks for attending to the block on NigPig123. Most vandalism is routine clean-up for me, but I find racist garbage much harder to stomach. MechWarrior 4 Vengeance
[edit]No, what I did to the article on MechWarrior 4 Vengeance was not vandalism. It is simply updating it, SINCE Microsoft did quit hosting for it's multiplayer. Vandalism recurrence
[edit]Greetings sir... I appreciate your help with 12.110.35.99 yesterday; I wanted to point out that this particular user has apparently retaliated for his 24-hour suspension by deleting a large part of KESQ-TV AND KTNV-TV and repeated his vanity statement on KMIR-TV (turns out he is one of those 4 people mentioned, namely the 3rd one). I have ID's his IP with 'sharedIP'... but at this point, I would personally move for a 'softblock'. If I should bring this to another forum, please advise. Uf wiederluege! my edit was vandalism?
[edit]maybe u didnt see the pile of junk that comprised the david ireland page before i did blank it. i was simply deleting that heap of bullshit which was so clearly vandalized and edited. instead of wasting my time trying to re-write the whole page (since i know nothing about david ireland anyways), i simply deleted the lifestory of wutever loser edited it last, since thats all it wus: a useless page with absolutely nuthing to do with david ireland as it was.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.61.59.169 (talk • contribs) —DerHexer (Talk) 08:41, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

Double Standards
[edit]Why is it that the article Potter's House Christian Fellowship is allowed to be hijacked and have ALL links deleted with the approval of Admin and yet if I do the same on the AOG page it is not only instantly reverted but I am warned? I think there is a double standard here. Only a month ago the Potter's House page had many links to other churches in various nations, and yet now it is reduced to only negative opinions. Religious discrimination? 124.184.131.250 13:28, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
It looks like this page is being vandalized by multiple ips from the same network/person-- the first 3 numbers are the same, but the last one keeps changing. Can you ban the whole range, maybe? Or protect the page? Thanks! Gscshoyru 14:26, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

edit conflict; "hangon" ignored in speedy delete case of Grant Lyman?
[edit]Hi DH. I put a "db-band" tag on the former article for Grant Lyman and posted the standard notification on the creator's talk page. I saw another edit on the page which turned out to be the "hangon" tag put on by the creator. I was in the process of replying to their concerns on the GL talk page when my submit failed due to the pages being deleted (by you according to the log; that's why I'm here).
Now as it stood the article was speediable IMO, but since the proper hangon procedure was used, shouldn't there have been a wait to see if the article could be improved? Did you ever see the hangon tag? Or perhaps the creator's statements on the articles Talk demonstrated they did not understand notability/sourcing guidelines and better to just start from scratch, hangon or not?
Thanks for clarifying this for me—deletion policy seems to be an ever evolving thing. Good editing, Baccyak4H (Yak!) 15:00, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

For lack of a better person to ask...
[edit]User:Petrificustotalus has removed all the spells without a known incantation from the Spells in Harry Potter, arguing that because they have no incantation and are therefore not spells. I totally disagree, and have attempted to talk to him but he does not respond or listen. I've reverted thrice, and so I can't do it again. I have no idea what to do about this, where I post asking for help, so I'm asking you for what the best course of action here is. Thanks! Gscshoyru 18:10, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
- I've seen that, too. But I'm not sure what to do now. … You might report it here. It's possible to protect the page or block the user for a while. Regards, —DerHexer (Talk) 18:20, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah... but it's not exactly a 3RR rule violation, is it? It's just that the user is doing something he or she thinks is right, and refusing to listen to someone else's comments, plus I don't think that there's been 4 reverts by that user, either, so it wouldn't go over as a 3RR violation. Am I wrong? Or is there some better channel for dealing with this? Gscshoyru 18:25, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
- I think you should report it. Maybe another one is able to persuade him to discuss. Regards, —DerHexer (Talk) 18:38, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

Vandals
[edit]The Rolling Stone magazine article is still being attacked by one or more vandals. Now, one has registered and is vandalizing under the name Nsclique. Class President,Vandalsim, Tortilia
[edit]Why did you accuse me of vandalisim without even explaining to me on the talk page? That just shows ignorance and imaturity. I was editing it because this article isnt entirly accurate and does not support a worldwide view. First of all Class Presidents and Student Body Presidents are one in the same. Class Presidents in some areas are people who lead their Gradurating Class. Class Presidents lead students and I was just fixing the imperfections in the article. and with the Article Tottilia I was fixing the imperfections in the article. You need to remember that most teachers and professors don't believe in Wikipedia and dont recommened their students using it. You also need to also consider that most pof the articles are edited be people who have no credtials. Something you probally don't have. Do you have the creditionals to edit and work on encyclopedias and other such works? I think not..Not explaing your edits and blockage from editing wikipedia shows extreme imaturity. Thank you for reading my opinions. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.255.160.33 (talk • contribs)

reverting an edit on the Fahrenheit (Taiwanese band) page
[edit]Yes, the person mashed up the text a bit, but I think it was a bit harsh of you to call it flat-out vandalism. All the IP did was reword (using horrendous grammar) what the original text had said. Indeed, it was a good idea to revert, but I'm just saying that putting a note on the IP's page calling it vandalism is a bit much. Pandacomics 07:07, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
- The IP has removed all content till "the majority being Fahrenheit's fans." I think that's vandalism. Regards, —DerHexer (Talk) 07:57, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
- Ah, sorry for the confusion then. Pandacomics 09:29, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
Ah yes, thank you
[edit]Hexer, Sir, would I be guilty of some terrible conflict of interest or shortage of "good faith" if I were to infer that this youngster was related to this one and permablock them? (Course, the fool upstanding little fellow will immediately be back as somebody else, so the whole enterprise is pretty pointless.)
Well, I'm out of here to have dinner, so there's even less reason/rush to reply than there'd normally be. -- Hoary 11:04, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
- I've blocked the "youngster". Btw, I've been out for dinner, too. Regards, —DerHexer (Talk) 11:24, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
Mistake
[edit]I apologise; it wasn't vandalism - I merely made an error in placement and happen to have a suspect username (it is shared with a band that has an article here). Nancy Vandal 12:35, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

Same person?
[edit]Hi. 64.8.33.176; 70.17.186.189; and 144.80.78.5 appear to be the same person, since they've been making identical nonsensical changes to The Price is Right (US game show) and/or Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? You should probably unblock...
[edit]204.9.212.32 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · filter log · WHOIS · RDNS · RBLs · http · block user · block log) received a final warning 5 days ago, which I don't think merits a block for what's clearly a test edit. I know it's only a 7 hour block, but an inappropriate AIV report needn't result in a block. A {{test1}} would be more appropriate, IMO. I'll contact Targeman (talk · contribs) about better reports, too. — Scientizzle 19:38, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

You deleted this article as CSD A7, yet there was a claim of notability in the article (a reference to a magazine feature about the person), therefore I do not feel it qualifies under the criteria for speedy deletion. --Darksun 21:09, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- It's a magazine … it's not a reputable source—I don't even know if it's true, I can't find nothing at google. … If somebody writes in a PC magazine that I'm the best whosoever, will I be relevant? I don't think so. But if you insist on it I'll restore it. Regards, —DerHexer (Talk) 21:21, 9 August 2007 (UTC) Btw. it's the PCActive/PC Active.
- I'm not confident it's true either, but it does make a claim of notability and hoaxes shouldn't be speedy deleted. I had tagged the article as a hoax before it was deleted and requested some reliable sources from the contributer. It could be that the name was misspelled or something like that, let's just AGF for a while and see what happens. Darksun 21:31, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

Dude...
[edit]Seriously... from a former admin, avid vandal fighter, process patroller and avid contributor...
This place will ultimately disappoint you. Channel your creative and mental processes elsewhere. You will look back one day on the effort you put into this project and regret it. I 100% guarantee it; even if you think I'm a madman at the moment, you'll get it one day.
This is not vandalism, or even a stringent demand, just a friendly bit of advice, albeit from someone whose drunken state is a prerequisite to slumming around the talk and user space of this project. Feel free to ignore it. Peace. 154.20.36.54 09:10, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, I know that. But at the moment it's okay … I like it. If this finishs (or I waste my time) I'll stop contributing. Regards, —DerHexer (Talk) 09:32, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
- I love this. People who know what other people feel or should feel, will feel or have to feel... - ever heard about differences between people? You never can give a guarantee for anything. Let him do what he want to do - and you can do what you want. DerHexer knows exactly what he does I think. He does, what he does at de:Wp since a long time (and there it is not even better or funnier than here). Marcus Cyron 09:16, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Can you care to explain to me why you are deleting thousands of redirects? and in what way are they not unnecessary? The sunder king 12:27, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

You're normally not able to find these redirects so that they're unnecessary. They are a bit like orphaned talk pages. Regards, —DerHexer (Talk) 12:36, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

- Looks like User:68.185.181.179 needs a block. This IP keeps vandalizing Cascada after continued vandalism of National Parks. NHRHS2010 Talk 21:44, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

A necessary blocking
[edit]DerHexer, you have previously warned User: 193.120.116.179 about vandalism, but did not see it as it had been erased. A block is therefore in order, since your previous warning was a "final warning" too.--Loodog 20:49, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
Quick question
[edit](reffered to you through Indonesian edit) Is their any quick wikipedia edit key you have to type (ü) that you know of, Danke Unbekümmert 21:17, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
- To type ü? Have a look at the bottom—you'll see the section "Characters"—there you'll find the "ü". You could type Alt+252, too. … If you mean quite another matter please please let it me know. Regards, —DerHexer (Talk) 21:26, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
Thanks, are you in germany right now, I'm in Bremerhaven right now. Unbekümmert 21:29, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

I thought I would be the only person in Germany who edits the english wikipedia. I hope if you don't mind if ask for your help now and then, I just made a wikipedia profile. It is great to know I am not the only one. Gute Nacht, Unbekümmert 21:39, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

My RfA
[edit]DerHexer, I just wanted to say thank you for my successful RfA, which passed 89/2/5. I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of support that I received and I am more than a little bit humbled at the kind words yourself and many others had to say about me. I wanted to personally say how much it is appreciated. I enjoy working with you and am looking forward to more of it in the future! Trusilver 16:19, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

User:83.181.92.90
