German Translation Requests

[edit]

Recently, you requested a translation of Dromore, County Down from German into English at WP:GTIE. Unfortunately, there is no corresponding article in German, so I removed the request. Sorry for the inconvenience, RyanGerbil10 (Drop on in!) 22:18, 3 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

As you have contributed to an article relating to Belfast, I hope you could take some time to read this page about our new project: Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Belfast.

Thanks. --Mal 01:54, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Aghnatrisk

[edit]

are there any houses there?!Traditional unionist 22:08, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

now that I've seen your photo I know the area, but it's a bit of a stretch to call it a settlement.....it's a crossroads with a handful of dwellings. Culcavy is becoming quite a major hinterland of Hillsborough.Traditional unionist 22:22, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Interestingly it doesn't come up on Yahoo Maps. Sure mention it, but I don't think in the same breath as Culcvy. Maze....do you mean Halftown? I've never actually been sure where Maze is (other than the obvious)Traditional unionist 22:35, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

(to sign comments enter four of this symbol ~ to the end of your comment) I doubt it, I've heard of the Aghnatrisk road, but not an area. But to be honest I don't know the west side of Hillsborough very well.Traditional unionist 22:45, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

On an unrelated matter

[edit]

Did you go to FSL and are now a civil servant?Traditional unionist 22:48, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just has a thought that I might have been a year below you....and Mr Harvey...maybe you're not the same chap.Traditional unionist 22:54, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of 01846

[edit]

A tag has been placed on 01846, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Oxford Wikimania 2010 and Wikimedia UK v2.0 Notice

[edit]

Hi,

As a regularly contributing UK Wikipedian, we were wondering if you wanted to contribute to the Oxford bid to host the 2010 Wikimania conference. Please see here for details of how to get involved, we need all the help we can get if we are to put in a compelling bid.

We are also in the process of forming a new UK Wikimedia chapter to replace the soon to be folded old one. If you are interested in helping shape our plans, showing your support or becoming a future member or board member, please head over to the Wikimedia UK v2.0 page and let us know. We plan on holding an election in the next month to find the initial board, who will oversee the process of founding the company and accepting membership applications. They will then call an AGM to formally elect a new board who after obtaining charitable status will start the fund raising, promotion and active support for the UK Wikimedian community for which the chapter is being founded.

You may also wish to attend the next London meet-up at which both of these issues will be discussed. If you can't attend this meetup, you may want to watch Wikipedia:Meetup, for updates on future meets.

We look forward to hearing from you soon, and we send our apologies for this automated intrusion onto your talk page!

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Denzell393! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to this article, it would greatly help us with the current 156 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Francisco Grau - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Possibly unfree File:Rasharkin Orange Hall 24 Aug 09.JPG

[edit]

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Rasharkin Orange Hall 24 Aug 09.JPG, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. If the file's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the file description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. --Stifle (talk) 17:12, 30 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Francisco Grau has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unreferenced BLP, May 2009

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. –– Jezhotwells (talk) 15:31, 4 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
