License tagging for File:Joan Field poster 1.jpg

Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

Regarding your attempt to use your poster image, I am probably not the best person to ask, since I have contributed only a few images and found the instructions for doing so very user-unfriendly. However, I think you need to follow the instructions listed in the first note you got on this talk page, "tagging" the image so that the Wikipedia system knows you have the right to use it. I just ran through a few links starting at that message and, as I remember it, somewhere in the process of using those tags, it asks you whose image it is, when it was "taken", where, etc. If you are the image creator, you should be able to do this. The issue for you will be to decide what kind of license you want the image to be available under. Since "non-commercial use only" is not an option, you may want to think twice before contributing it. If you can't get this to work, then I think you can try the live chat help link mentioned on this page (although I have never used it myself and can't say how well it works). Alternatively you could try the Wikipedia:Media copyright questions and ask for help or a link to someone who actually knows. Good luck with this. I'm sorry, but the image still may have to be deleted. Since you've indicated that it's a non-free image, you're required to add a detailed rationale for its use. If you're not able to provide it within a week, the image will have to be deleted. Nyttend (talk) 12:36, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
