- Hi 140.127.232.252. I would strongly advise that you do not make any further edits to the page as you have already shown a tendency to plagiarise and ignore warnings. I would highly recommend that you speak to your supervisors and ask them to select someone else to perform the task. Someone who will take heed of warnings and who is experienced and competent enough to write in a neutral tone without having to copy and paste. Thank-you David.moreno72 01:18, 1 September 2016 (UTC)
Teenagerss Battle the Thing
[edit]Sir,
I just created the page so differentiate between the original movie, the new movie named "Curse of bigfoot" I posted 3 references for my information at the bottom of the page. This is simply for a school project of expanding on a "stub." I posted 3 references, I do not create wikipedia pages, nor edit them. I am simply trying to get an A while expanding the redirect page of this movie.

Declined speedy
[edit]Hi David.moreno72. Thank you for your work on patrolling pages and tagging for speedy deletion. I'm just letting you know that I declined your deletion request for Good students of fycs, a page that you tagged for speedy deletion, under criterion A3 because the criterion you used or the reason you gave does not cover this kind of page. Maybe you clicked the wrong button there, but a bland stub about some students at an unclear school being hardworking isn't "blatant and obvious misinformation", and I can't see why it would need courtesy blanking. Please take a moment to look at the suggested tasks for patrollers, criteria for speedy deletion, and particularly, the section covering non-criteria. Such pages are best tagged with proposed deletion or proposed deletion for biographies of living persons, or sent to the appropriate deletion discussion. undo correcting wrong word 'consistent'
[edit]Hi Dave,
I'm the bastard who fixed a simple mistake on your page ('Domestic violence against men'). In case you don't want that error to persist I'll quote that page so it becomes apparent.
""" /* Gender symmetry */ The theory that women perpetrate IPV at roughly the same rate as men has been termed "gender symmetry." ...
/* Criticism */
Many critics have rejected the research cited by men's rights activists and dispute their claims that such violence is gender symmetrical ...
Gender symmetry is also consistent [sic] with government findings. According to government statistics from the US Department of Justice, male perpetrators constituted 96% of federal prosecution on domestic violence. Another report by the US department of Justice on non-fatal domestic violence from 2003-2012 found that 76 percent of domestic violence was committed against women and 24 percent were committed against men. """
The fact that "male perpetrators constituted 96% of federal prosecution on domestic violence" hardly appears to be consistent with the notion that IPV is committed by both sexes (and or genders) at "roughly the same rate." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 138.25.67.106 (talk) 01:12, 2 September 2016 (UTC)
- Hi 138.25.67.106, and thanks for your comments. After reading your explanation it does appear that the use of the word 'consistent' is incorrect. That being said, I think that it could be more clearly explained. Perhaps a better sentence might read 'Gender asymmetry is also consistent with government findings'. If you are happy with the proposed change, I will be more than happy to make the change myself, or if you make it, I will ensure that it remains. Thank-you David.moreno72 02:08, 2 September 2016 (UTC)

I had submitted an article (S. Michael Hudson) and received the note below. It is not clear from the note if the problem with the submission is that the footnotes did not appear in the text or if there is some issue with the standard level of the citations. I have since added the notation in the text <Ref.#> . How do I find out if the citations meet standards? I have attempted to communicate with David.moreno72 who was kind to offer help, but am not sure I’ve done that correctly. Hi,
Was wondering how we could best verify our artist page since it was declined. Asking because we cross-referenced with a bunch of sources outside of our own web page, but it was still declined and we modeled it after similarly-minded (working) photographers. I have already researched all of what you sent in terms of reasons for declining our page, but maybe you can offer some specifics if your time allows.
Thanks
Ledziana (talk) 20:16, 8 September 2016 (UTC)
- Hi Ledziana. The page was declined as it did not meet the notability requirements as set out in WP:ARTIST. The closest claim I could see was '(d) is represented within the permanent collections of several notable galleries or museums.', but as the subject has been added to only one collection, the criteria has not yet been met. Also, I am concerned that there may be a undeclared conflict of interest when you mentioned 'our artist'. Until these deficiencies are resolved it is unlikely that the page will be accepted. Sir, Reference subject Articles Dated August 22, 2016 and September 6, 2016 both rejected by your esteemed website due to non authentic references. The references given in the Article are authentic and the Article has been prepared from a thesis of Mr Zulfiqar Ali Shah, a student of masters whose thesis was accepted by University of Peshawar(Pakistan). The link of the University of Peshawar is http://pscpesh.org/index.php/publications/list-of-theses. The name of said thesis appears at S#80 of list of thesis. No further references are available on line as nobody has ever attempted to upload works of Muhammad Khawas Khan on any website. The reason is that the village of Muhammad Khawas Khan is in a far flung rural area and his progeny is not competent and educated enough to know the importance of his works. I being one of his co-villager has noticed that his works are still in the dark and would be lost very soon if not preserved through your renowned website. The replies from your side show that you preserve only those information which are already available on any site. But what about those which have never been uploaded by anybody?I am a responsible officer of higher rank in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judiciary and am presently serving as District & Sessions Judge in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy Peshawar as Senior Director(Research & Publications).Whatever is written in the Article is authentic and I write the Article with full responsibility. If you have any further query you can contact me on the email ID given at the foot of this message. If you desire we may send you the hard copy/scanned copy of the thesis mentioned above as no soft copy is available due to its being old in time. Greg Ouellette
[edit]Hi David I just wanted to make contact with you. My post for Greg Ouellette was denied unfortunately. I was hoping something could be done to make a change in this regard. I understand that Wikipedia has certain guidelines they use for each subject but I wanted to see if their could be some grey lining in this situation. Greg is considered one of the best division 1 college tennis players in history and was successful on the pro tour winning 5 professional titles and a Pan American bronze medal which reached him to 250 in the world. One of the guidelines to being accepted as a "notable tennis athlete" on Wikipedia is playing in an ATP professional event, singles or doubles. There are countless times throughout the year when players with no ranking whatsoever enter the doubles tournaments onsite of these events and get in because of a lack of participants. These people are considered qualified by Wikipedia. Although that hasn't happened for Greg due to scheduling issues, there would be no one with a back ground in tennis who say that Greg is not a notable athlete in the sport of tennis. I hope this text to you will an be considered and acted upon. All the best! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sports0516 (talk • contribs) 05:44, 17 September 2016 (UTC)

Hi David, thanks for the review. Le Matin, The Times of London, and ABC News are not tabloids, though. Did they not help?
How about the following non-tabloid sources?
- globo.com coverage - Online arm of Grupo Globo, a Brazilian media conglomerate, article mentions they were covered by BBC Brazil and includes criticism.
- The Telegraph article
- Marie Claire article
- Natural Health Magazine article
Thanks for your help. I'm Tony Ahn (talk) 15:48, 19 September 2016 (UTC)
- Hi I'm Tony Ahn. Wikipedia is a fact based encyclopaedia. Let me know when you have more reliable and scientifically based sources, such as medical journals. Thank-you David.moreno72 15:55, 19 September 2016 (UTC)
- Hi User:David.moreno72, I'm a psychotherapist myself, and I'm here to tell you that theoretical orientations and psychotherapeutic treatments generally don't proceed from research to practice as if they were pharmaceuticals or surgical techniques, which means they won't be found in medical journals. A very small proportion of psychotherapeutic treatments (called Empirically Validated Treatments) have efficacy research behind them, and those studies are more likely to be in the academic clinical psychology literature than medical journals. Check out the Adlerian Family Therapy , Gestalt therapy, Attachment Theory, and Object Relations Therapy. Notice how there are no sources from medical journals in those articles? Notice also how the sources that do exist are primarily practice manuals and not academic research on efficacy of technique? I've now provided five hard news sources (Le Matin, The Times of London, The Telegraph UK, ABC News, Grupo Globo) from four different countries, which clearly satisfies WP:RS. I'm Tony Ahn (talk) 19:23, 19 September 2016 (UTC)
- Hi I'm Tony Ahn . I would suggest that you read WP:MEDRS. The sources that you have provided clearly don't qualify as medical reliable sources. Thank-you. David.moreno72 02:09, 20 September 2016 (UTC)

[edit]- RuleOfThirds (talk · contribs)
David, 1. A mathematical formula does not need a source ... it just is a fact on it's own and I am not creating an article about the formula itself but it's effects in a particular field.
2. This mathematical formula proves mathematically that 1 third of x numbers probably won't appear and is applicable to the roulette wheel
3. If you are refering to the not enough sources being 'most roulette players', then I can include hundereds of links from roulette system websites where they have articles concerning the Rule Of Thirds, but none of them explain why this 'Rule' occurs. Hence there is no source available rather the opposite, which makes it logical for my article to exist.
4. I cannot get any further sources because I am the first person to attempt show the connection between the probability formula and the actual occurance on a roulette wheel. Not an invention or dicovery, but just a point which milions of roulette players are missing.
5. And if I cannot present the required sources, can you present the opposite ...that there are existing soruces concerning this concept ?
6. Last but not least, what qualifications or knowledge do you have, or what research have you or this system's algorithm undertaken to decide or evaluate that there are sources anywhere which I should be refering to ?
Pete
- @RuleOfThirds: One of the fundamental principles of Wikipedia is that 'Encyclopedic content must be verifiable'. Of course if you wish to disregard the policies of Wikipedia, you are of course free to create your own website or blog where you won't be bound by the policies of Wikipedia. On the other hand, if you wish to create a Wikipedia article, you must provide reliable sources. Perhaps a scientific article in a mathematics journal. Thanks for the review comments. I have removed the 2 links deemed irrelevant / not notable. I added those as the books with references are with me as hard copy (added them in the reference section). I don't know how to cite the books as references for a particular point.

Buck (HW) Crowley
[edit]Hello David, how are you? Well this is interesting. I challenge you to think rather than react.
You Said: "... do not adequately show the notability ... significant ... reliable sources ... independent ... verifiable"
The Wiki submission is: "Buck (HW) Crowley] has been awarded 75+ US patents. The 75+ US patents [1] (100's world wide) Patents are the government declaring this person an "inventor" having produce "novel and unique" contribution to the art and science in the related field."
The US patent process takes typically 2 years, majority of patent applications are rejected and are subject to great scrutiny from independent experts. The results of the application and the patents are published by many independent, reliable, and verifiable sources.
The US government declares this person an "inventor" having produce "novel and unique" contribution to the art and science in the related field.
To get a US patent is most significant. To get more than 75 US patents is very notable, very few people are this distinguished.
Patents are: "notable, significant, reliable sourced, independent, and verifiable"
Thank You — Preceding unsigned comment added by CrowleyHistorian (talk • contribs) 15:32, 20 September 2016 (UTC)
- Hi CrowleyHistorian. An article should be more than just, 'This guy has a lot of patents'. If he is notable you should be able to have more references, and more detail to the article. Thank-you David.moreno72 16:12, 20 September 2016 (UTC)
Thank you for your opinion, but please cite the Wikipedia rule that you are referring to. THANK YOU — Preceding unsigned comment added by CrowleyHistorian (talk • contribs) 15:37, 21 September 2016 (UTC) Most important inventors who are notability and significant, don't get publicity but through patents. For example Chase Bishop, a computer scientist, designed the first Microsoft windows. Think of many industries not so well know by the popular media, like the printing industry. Notability, significant people who can be independently verifiable from reliable sources is what Wikipedia is about. When we get past this "notability (and not "depend on things such as fame, importance, or popularity") and significant"... there is plenty more references, and more detail that can be added to this very important article about a very important person. S. Michael Hudson again
[edit]David – Mr. Hudson forwarded me the content of the email you sent 9-23 , but neither of us can find any response to the material I sent on the research for cites. Are these appropriate? Should I incorporate them into the text and note that any search should include the three forms for his given name? I apologize for the trouble, but I don’t seem to understand the format for communication. Thanks. KIForline 9/24/16 2602:304:CDBA:4400:49A0:BB93:2631:4887 (talk) 15:26, 24 September 2016 (UTC)
- Hi 2602:304:CDBA:4400:49A0:BB93:2631:4887. First, it would be best if you create an account. Second, I don't envisage the page being accepted as the subject does not pass the general notability requirements. Basically, Wikipedia only accepts biographies for famous and well known people, who have numerous 3rd party sources. The Hudson page is basically an autobiography, which Wikipedia frowns upon. If Mr Hudson deserves having a page, someone else would create it. I have already said to read WP:AB, but it seems that it needs to be repeated again!!!. If Mr. Hudson is really desperate to have his autobiography on the internet, may I suggest that he create his own blog or website. There are plenty of options available. Just Google 'create free blog'. That way he won't be encumbered with Wikipedia policies. Thank-you David.moreno72 16:06, 24 September 2016 (UTC)

How to get my Wikipedia Page published without official sources from reputable sources (articles, newspapers, etc.)?
[edit]My friends and I created a team for eSport type of play. We have references each of us but I don't believe those count as actual legitimate sources like ABC News, newspapers, articles, etc. Right now if you would like to check https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:R2_(eSports). There are sources (references) but not reputable sources like I stated in my last sentence. If I do not have those official type sources, do I remake the Wikipedia Page under a different category to get accepted? Or are these sources acceptable? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.77.25.162 (talk) 01:03, 25 September 2016 (UTC)
- Hi 97.77.25.162 There are a number of issues with the page. First, the article does not meet general notability requirements per WP:GNG. Also, since it would seem that you are associated with the team, there is a undisclosed conflict of interest per WP:COI. Given this, it does not seem likely that the page with be accepted. Thank-you. [edit]Hello David, I have noted that you have deleted some details on the page I edited about Andy Preston (businessman). However, I'm not clear why and hope you can explain, as i don't want to make the same errors again. What I had written was in good faith and I believe supported with citations. Perhaps the citations i quoted were not explicit enough about what the words I had written? Any guidance would be very much appreciated. Thank you. GeorgiePorgieGirl (talk) 19:48, 25 September 2016 (UTC)GeorgiePorgieGirl
- Hi GeorgiePorgieGirl. The edits were knocked back because you had made a claim that was not supported by references, and per WP:BLPSOURCES, I was forced to rollback. The claim was 'and has claimed he joined Tony Blair on stage at a Labour Conference.', which was right next to the http://www.fansonline.net/middlesbrough/article.php?id=3989 reference. In that article, I cannot find anywhere where the claim was verified. In future, if you wish to make claims in biographies of living people, as per Wikipedia policy, you must also directly reference that claim. Thank-you David.moreno72 01:18, 26 September 2016 (UTC)

David - I apologize for bothering you again but I’m trying to get references for S. Michael Hudson before trying to draft a biographical article. If I use the Find sources: books for S. Michael Hudson or Mike Hudson I get no results, but if I add Aviation, Rolls-Royce or Allison at the end of this name I find several sources. If I search HighBeam for S. Hi David,
Thanks for your response. As far notability criteria, medaling at an event such as the Pan Am games or the Commonwealth Games can and is considered as notable on Wikipedia. Greg Medaled at the 2011 Pan Am Games held in Guadalajara. Another achievement that can be considered notable is his recognition by the ITF (tennis's major governing body) as their ITF Play of the Month. Greg was also ranked #269 in the world which borderlines another criteria of being ranked in the top 200 in the world in singles. I hope this will help as Greg is someone with many achievements that many notable tennis players recognize as impressive and worthy of being recognized. Thanks for your time. The construction work on the jeepable road to the Tiau-River was started in 2013, but the construction improved slowly and still under development. Education The first Primary School was established in the village in 1944. The government of Burma affiliated the school in 1968. The first Middle school was established in 1980. Only one student name Laltanpuia (now Dr. Laltanpuia) could follow higher education. The middle school was discontinued due to lack of teachers and poverty. However the middle school was re-established in 1994 by the then Village President Tluangala with the help of the financial contribution from parents. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ralpel (talk • contribs) 09:54, 9 October 2016 (UTC)
- Hi Ralpel. Your edits were reverted because you did not provide a reliable source. You either used Wikipedia itself, which is not permitted, or did not provide a source at all. Thank-you David.moreno72 09:58, 9 October 2016 (UTC)
Can't we write without any resource at all?

- One of the pillars of Wikipedia is that information is verifiable. See WP:5P2. Otherwise, it would contain all sorts of junk. You wouldn't want that now would you? Thank-you David.moreno72 10:26, 9 October 2016 (UTC)
Request to check my edit
[edit]David, can you check my edits? I was born in the village and I have the village recorded history (hand written) with me. There are no other sources in the internet that mention about my village except its geographical position. Could you provide me the better ways to improve my contents.
Thanks. Ralpel — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ralpel (talk • contribs) 10:43, 9 October 2016 (UTC)
- Hi Ralpel. I reviewed your edits and they were unsatisfactory. It is clear that you don't have the competence to edit Wikipedia. If you continue to add unsourced or improperly sourced material it is likely that you will be blocked from editing, and we wouldn't want that to occur now do we. Thank-you David.moreno72 11:09, 9 October 2016 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for October 9
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Ballavpur, Serampore, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bengali. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
