Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! –MJL ‐Talk‐☖ 15:35, 1 March 2020 (UTC)
An edit war? WTF?
[edit]First, three edits over five days is not an edit war. Second, you're involved in the edit war and I suspect a WP:BOOMERANG would be involved. Walter Görlitz (talk) 23:08, 6 March 2020 (UTC)
Yes, but I clearly explained why I consider myself correct. You just reiterate the same bogus reason which has been disproved; plenty of people cite articles behind paywalls, and that's not even what this is - anyone can sign up for a Bugzilla account and read the issue.
I've told you several times that this is nothing to do with plugin code, but you ignore me each time and remove my additions.
What else would you call it? DaveWThompson (talk) 23:17, 6 March 2020 (UTC)
Do you not think it's important for the public to know that two developers with a financial motive can get code into Thunderbird that is then released with no external oversight? Goodness knows what would happen if someone with a real agenda could do that! DaveWThompson (talk) 23:19, 6 March 2020 (UTC)
- @Walter Görlitz: Lay off the newbie or I'm taking it to WP:AN/I. I have zero tolerance from WP:BITE-y behavoir, and I'm not interested in watching you somehow accuse a user with only two total edits to mainspace of edit warring.
Dave, please refrain from WP:SHOUTing like you did here. Additionally, use four tilde's~~~~
to sign your post please and make you log in. Properly signing your posts is the only correct way to notify/ping someone during your response.
Finally, everyone here: Assume good faith; that's a policy (and not optional here). –MJL ‐Talk‐☖ 03:13, 7 March 2020 (UTC)- Also, DaveWThompson, don't template the regulars. It's considered insulting to many on this project. If you want your proposed change to Mozilla Thunderbird to be enacted, then don't be mean. –MJL ‐Talk‐☖ 03:16, 7 March 2020 (UTC)
- Don't edit war, even if you think you're correct. WP:BRD. Walter Görlitz (talk) 03:22, 7 March 2020 (UTC)
- What did I literally just say? –MJL ‐Talk‐☖ 03:25, 7 March 2020 (UTC)
