Northern Line

[edit]

You recently declared that the operating speed of the Northern Line is 50mph. This was reverted because your declaration was based on personal knowledge whereas the alternative (45 mph) is backed by a published reference. I suspect that a train operator has more knowledge than a journalist but we must have confirmation of all facts. I've commented out the 45 mph speed because it is probably wrong. The article declares that 45 mph is the limit in the central section because of infrastructure problems in the tunnels. Can you spread some light on this issue please? If you have a operating manual that gives maximum speeds and can share this then we will know the truth. Can you help me? There is a discussion at Talk:Northern line#Operating Speed
