Welcome
[edit]As part of Wikipedia's experimental mentor program, I am here to help you navigate Wikipedia. Please feel free to ask questions on my Talk page.
- Here, or at editor and article Talk pages, remember to 'sign' your comments by typing four of ~ at the end.
- Format for comments is to start with one more : than the previous comment. The : does not appear, but it indents the comment.
- See Wikipedia:User pages for how to create your user page (what can and cannot be put there). A User page is not mandatory, but having any content there, even "Hello", will make your User name appear in blue rather than red. David notMD (talk) 11:29, 5 March 2022 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for June 4
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of the largest country subdivisions by area, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Chubut and Boa Vista. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:02, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
A Barnstar for you!
[edit]The Civility Barnstar | ||
I am giving you a Civility Barnstar! You were responsible, kind, and mature during our little semi-dispute and in the discussion that followed. Most of the Wikipedians I've quarreled with have not been nearly as civil as you, do me a favor keep contributing to Wikipedia, we need more Wikipedians like you! – Treetoes023 (talk) 01:57, 10 June 2023 (UTC) |

Country subdivisions
[edit]Hello Daniboy0826, assuming you are the same contributor as the dynamic IP, can you duly justify your latest revert? A dedicated section is present in the discussion page of the article concerned, on the division among others in section. Ellicrum (talk) 13:42, 21 June 2023 (UTC)
- Given your silence, assuming there's no justification for your revert, I guess I can restore my last edits. If despite this you cancel again without explanation, the situation may be blocked --Ellicrum (talk) 20:58, 25 June 2023 (UTC)
- oh sorry, I didn't saw your talk page, anyway, the reasom I reverted your edit was:
- • Because it was taking too much bytes from the page, and I agreed to stop putting subdivisions here if the amount of bytes surpassed 100,000 bytes.
- • It's more efficient to just leave it all in 1 list, since dividing it all just makes a normal Wikipedia user see this very busy page and say "I am not understading what I'm seeing", a undivided page is more direct to the point (although this is just my opinion and is based on absolutely nothing).
- • Editing this page gets harder, since to put all the informations in those little boxes below the list, you have to do some shenanigans for editing the entire page, not just a section.
- • It looks kinda ugly ngl.
- • It is harder to find a specific subdivision you want to see for whatever reason.
- Sorry for being silent, I did received a notification of "Ellicrum left you a message on Wikipedia", but I didn't know what that meant and thought you had just edited this page after me or whatever. Daniboy0826 (talk) 21:07, 25 June 2023 (UTC)
- Thank for your answer. For the moment, I will therefore only add the more consensual elements (England, formatting, etc.). For whether or not to add sections, I will ask the question about Project Geography. --Ellicrum (talk) 22:21, 25 June 2023 (UTC)
- Cool!
- I added England on this list some time ago, but it was removed because "the correct 1st-level administrative divisions of the UK are the counties", but I do believe that England should be on this list. Daniboy0826 (talk) 22:34, 25 June 2023 (UTC)
- Going around the countries, I believe that the following subdivisions are missing (assuming that you are listing all those over 80,000 km2). As you manage better than me to complete the picture, I submit the list here: Tasmania (Australia), Khentii (Mongolia), Jonglei (South Sudan), Ennedi-Est (Chad), Ménaka (Mali), Tamaulipas (Mexico), three regions (Mozambique), many (Turkmenistan), many (Saudi Arabia) and many (Sudan). --Ellicrum (talk) 10:03, 28 June 2023 (UTC)
