Hi Daniel. Peter Shreeve is often misspelt Shreeves, but the former is correct. Cheers Stephenb (Talk) 15:57, 11 April 2006 (UTC)

After this conversation, still convinced I was right, I contacted the Football League Managers Association in order to check my belief. And it turns out I was wrong and you were right - see Talk:Peter Shreeves and/or Talk:Peter Shreeve. Apologies for that - I have now corrected all occurrences. Steve Adams, John Hills

Howdy! I've just deleted two articles you created (The Steve Adams and John Hills ones) because they had nothing in them but your footballer team template. It's ok for their names to be redlinks until there's an actual article about them, but until then, check out WP:CSD A1 to see why essentially empty articles are removed. The other footballers in that team have good, honest stubs that say something about the players. - CHAIRBOY () 20:35, 8 May 2006 (UTC)

Sorry about that! I guess I just got a bit carried away with the new template. I will be adding stubs or full articles for all the red links in due course anyway. Just out of interest how did you find the pages so soon after they were created? Dan1980 20:45, 8 May 2006 (UTC)
No worries! I figured it was as much, I admire your drive! I monitor the Special:Newpages data. I look forward to seeing their replacement articles. Even stubs that just say "Zippy Jones is a player for the XYZ ball club and was born in 1901" or whatever plus your template will probably be fine. Try and include a statement of notability in each article you create about people to avoid the other common deletion criteria, WP:CSD A7. Regards, CHAIRBOY () 23:06, 8 May 2006 (UTC)

Penwith Wikiproject

Hi Dan, Great to have you onboard at Penwith. Do you have any ideas about what you want to do, or any special skills that we should know about ;) Mammal4 15:04, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

All contributions greatfully received - pictures especially so, what sort of stuff do you have?

Good work with the non-parish article box, yes I agree that it should be incorporated into the to do list. The grading system on the parish pages is just something arbitry that I set up (0 being feature quality 5 being a stub) to try and prioritise the pages in terms of how much work needs to be done. I'd hoped that they would all be up to grade 2 by the end of the year, but we'll see! Mammal4 13:00, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

Your contributions in Cabanas

Hi. I'm from Cabanas de Tavira and i would like to thank you for your contributions in the article about my hometown. And I specially thank you for your corrections of my bad english (I am one of the main contribuitors for such article), you see, I'm not fluent in english, but I can easily understand it. You're allways welcome to go back here in Cabanas.

Templates {{ENGf}} and {{ENGf2}}

File:No flag.PNG
no flags!!

I don't know why because the code is fine but the flags are not showing up on the templates you repeatedly edit. Here is a screenshot as proof. So if you can make these work, the changes can remanin. But until then, I will revert them to there original state. Thank you. Philc TECI 14:33, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

Ok yeh, I thought of that, and I came to the conclusion that wikipedia is for everyone, so if it doesnt display on a particular browser, it shouldnt be used. But more confusing, (far more confusing), the flag shows up fine at full size, and at all sizes I've tried, including 19px and 21px, so as a comprimise, I was wondering if you would settle for one of these? Philc TECI 23:02, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
I will also be asking what the cause is on the technical ref desk thingy, or whatever the appropriate place, as I and quite confused. Philc TECI 23:02, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

Lee Chapman Spousal Abuse Allegations

I disagree with your accusations of vandalism on the Lee Chapman entry. I believe that Lee Chapman is most famous for the unproven allegations of spousal abuse (I would never have heard of him but for this) and as such feel it is valid to include them in his page. Please justify your commetns on the Lee Chapman discussion section. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TescoCookies (talkcontribs)

Wikiproject on Sheffield Wednesday

Thanks for the invite to join the above. I'm definitely interested and have added my name to the participants. I write quite a bit on Mountains and Cycling but would like to write something about Wednesday at some time. Best Regards --Mick Knapton 19:48, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

DYK

Updated DYK query On August 6, 2006, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article David Layne, which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

smurrayinchester(User), (Talk) 12:57, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

Hiya, I've posted an article on Peter Swan. I hope I am not treading on your toes, I've noticed you've just written an article on David Layne. Anyway there is plenty to add, I've just rushed it a bit this morning. BTW Swan's got a biography coming out in September so hopefully we will be able to flesh this article out considerably then. Regard Mick Knapton 09:34, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

Barnstar

Thank you veyr much for the barnstar. I hope I wasn't too much of a hardcase in the FAC - I did give you a lot to do, but I think the article is now top notch as a result. :) Good luck in getting it approved. Qwghlm 22:25, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

This article has recently been given FA status and Template:featuredarticle has been added to the bottom of the page, but the star does not show in the top-right of the article. Any ideas why? Dan1980 (talk | stalk) 19:34, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

I'm seeing the star in the top right corner. Maybe it's just your browser? Try bypassing the cache (shift/ctrl and reload). -Royalguard11(Talk·Desk) 19:40, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
I've worked out what the problem was. A large image on the page was making the article too wide and forcing the star off the side of the window. Cheers for that. Dan1980 (talk | stalk) 19:51, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

Kits

As regards Sheffield Wednesday Ladies F.C. and Sheffield Wednesday F.C., note that there has been an agreement to use only team colours in team kits. If you don't like it, please discuss it on Template_talk:Football_kit, before reverting.--Panarjedde 18:58, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

I have to return to post a message here, because you ignored consensus and did like you own those articles. I reverted your edit, and I again ask you to discuss the matter before unilaterally changing the article content.--Panarjedde 20:33, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
As there is clearly no concensus I have reverted your edits. If you wish to discuss this issue further please use the relevant talk page. Dan1980 (talk | stalk) 15:31, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
As there is clearly consensus, (now 5 to 1), as I clearly explained you the situation, as I proposed you to discuss further the matter, I shall no longer assume good faith in your edits, if you revert again.--Panarjedde 18:56, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

DYK

Updated DYK query On 28 September, 2006, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Sheffield Wednesday Ladies F.C., which you created. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the "Did you know?" talk page.

Wednesday Players

Hiya Dan - Just wondering I noticed that the Former Player section on the main Wednesday article was removed a few weeks ago: mainly because people could not agree which 10 players to put in. I was thinking perhaps it would be possible to do something similar to what has been done in the Leeds United A.F.C. article where they have listed Leed's "100 Greatest Players" in quite a compact space. I think their 100 is based on some poll that was done, but I'm sure we could come to a concensus on Wednesday's best 100 and it would be accepted by admins if enough people put their views forward. Names that come to mind instantly are Derek Dooley, Ron Springett, John Fantham, Chris Waddle, Des Walker, Terry Curran, Martin Hodge, Redfern Froggatt, David Hirst, Peter Swan and Mark Hooper. Just an idea, I know you probably don't want to mess with the article too much now it's up to FA status, congrats on that by the way and the article SWFC Ladies team.
