File copyright problem with File:Selwyn-ward.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Selwyn-ward.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Eeekster (talk) 02:48, 21 October 2011 (UTC)
Non-free rationale for File:Selwyn-ward.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Selwyn-ward.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 03:00, 21 October 2011 (UTC)

Problems with copyrighted photos
[edit]Wikipedia has very strict limits on the use of copyrighted material, and on images in particular. In particular, when using an image "by permission", it is not enough to get get approval for use of the image on Wikipedia. Wikipedia requires a special copyright license, allowing anyone to use the image for any purpose. Such approval is ordinarily sent to the WP:OTRS staff. Several images you have recently uploaded do not satisfy this test. Please refer to WP:COPYREQ for more detailed information. In addition, you have added several nonfree/copyrighted images to articles on living persons. In general, Wikipedia does not allow such images to be used to illustrate biographies, even though they may be allowed in other articles. If you have questions about particular images, the WP:MCQ discussion page is a good place to get answers. These rules are often frustrating and difficult for new users to understand, but there are many other editors ready to help you. Hullaballoo Wolfowitz (talk) 03:48, 21 October 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add or change content without verifying it by citing reliable sources, as you did to Dancing with the Stars (U.S. season 12). Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Do not re-add unsourced statistics to this article without participating in the discussion on the talk page regarding WP:IINFO/WP:NOT#STATS. Sottolacqua (talk) 12:00, 16 November 2011 (UTC)
Dancing with the Stars (U.S. season 12)
[edit]Please stop edit warring on this article and take the discussion to the talk page. The link you provided does not feature information for the individual scores from judges listed in the tables. If you're going to add references, link to the specific pages that show score statistics. Please stop adding endless tables of WP:IINFO...this is a violation of WP:NOT#STATS. Disambiguation link notification
[edit]Hi. In Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, you recently added a link to the disambiguation page Sherlock Holmes (film) (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows Reception
[edit]Why would you think the reviews of Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows are mixed to positive? They're generally mixed. Although the film has a 61% 'Fresh' rating on Rotten Tomatoes (which can hardly be described as positive; before it had 60-61%, it had a 59% 'Rotten' rating), it has a score of 48 on Metacritic, and 46% on Rotten Tomatoes' 'Top Critics'. That can't count as positive, even if it has 61% on RT. Just wanted to tell you. Superghost987 (talk) 02:03, 14 January 2012 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Matt Hill.gif
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Matt Hill.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 06:11, 17 April 2012 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
