Notification of nomination for deletion

[edit]

Hello. I'm notifying you of a request for deletion I have filed for many of your user subpages, here. You may wish to comment. --Deskana (talk) 22:12, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You need to show you care

[edit]

re: this Mfd... you need to make an appearance here and show you care. // FrankB 14:17, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

:re:

Thank you for the reminder...the reason I didn't show up was because I don't get up and edit Wikipedia at 8 in the morning...but, again, thanks. I made a comment...I'm not sure if I can put a Keep/Delete thing on or not, though. Protect Tomato Rights!(sign the petition!)

You're quite welcome, and the Mfd has been around a while now... at least the nom was courteous enough to notify you! Submit, adding {{db-author}} to a couple of those pages with no content, might be a good move too. Make sure to rub it in by making a note on the group page nomination. <g> Good luck there all the way! I've never heard of deleting a persons personal pages... May even be against policy... Asking at WP:AN/I would be a good move too... attract more mature and established admins who would be insensed, I'd bet.
Also, since you are obviously into splashy colors, you should probably bookmark http://colorfilter.wickline.org/ and do some testing. Quite a few of us are color blind, or color deficient, and having a tool in the toolbox never hurts, and keeping that design need in mind is a courtesy if you keep doing such pages. Best of luck! // FrankB 16:21, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

MfD

[edit]

Hi, I just want to say that I fully support you in this case. The editor who nominated your user subpages for deletion was being unreasonable, particularly as some of your pages are useful warning templates. It was also out of order for them to delete your "Body Shop" without bothering to notify you or take it through MfD. What I would recommend is that you use a {{db-userreq}} tag on the empty pages; since your other pages mostly have a useful function, there's no reason why they should be deleted. Anyway, don't be discouraged by the way some users have treated you - we're not all like that. :) Walton Vivat Regina! 15:40, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unreasonable isn't an apt description when so many people agree with me. --Deskana (talk) 16:50, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Your post on my talk page

[edit]

I have nothing against you. I have however noted that a minimal proportion of your edits are to articles, with the vast majority of the rest being to user and usertalk space. This is an undeniable fact; of course, what it means is up to interpretation. I've got no contest with the ones you've had deleted (naturally), but I think the rest should be deleted. My original nomination stands. Should they be deleted you're welcome to use the templates that I and other people find perfectly adequate, detailed at Template:TestTemplates. Fancy fonts and extreme signatures should be avoided. What's wrong with {{welcome}}? You can note I do have my own welcome template, User:Deskana/welcome, but it doesn't contain any of the fancy fonts which yours contain. --Deskana (talk) 16:50, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I was referring to the wrong thing, sorry. I was talking about User:Da.Tomato.Dude/DTD_RV and User:Da.Tomato.Dude/DTD_RV2. There's nothing wrong with editing usertalk pages for warnings but I'd point out that's not what you're doing. For example, of your last few edits (as of writing this)

Perhaps this cross-section of your most recent edits highlights the problem I have? Very few are related to furthering the encyclopedia. I'd rather have not done that, but I am trying to prove my point. --Deskana (talk) 17:27, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, that was just your most recent edits- the speedy deletion stuff isn't unencyclopedic and was clearly done in good faith (regardless of whether it may or may not be wrong). I was just trying to make a point about the distribution of your edits. And you didn't sound hostile, don't worry. We're all above that here, yourself included. --Deskana (talk) 18:12, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
To Deskana - Er, so how are two nominations for speedy deletion not "related to furthering the encyclopedia"? And as to the vote-related edits, if you nominate DTD's userpages for deletion, you can hardly expect her not to fight it. Walton Vivat Regina! 18:13, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I explained above that I was taking the users last few edits, and that the speedy deletions tags are good contributions. --Deskana (talk) 18:34, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
To DTD - Don't be discouraged. The rest of us value your contributions. :) Walton Vivat Regina! 18:13, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I never said I don't value your contributions! I do, that's the point of my nomination. I want you to contribute to the mainspace more, thus why I'm trying to get these pages deleted. You don't contribute enough. Of course when you do, the contributions are valued. --Deskana (talk) 18:34, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
And if I'd asked, would you have agreed to the deletion? I doubt it, that's why I nominated them. --Deskana (talk) 18:38, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Canvassing for votes

[edit]

Canvassing for votes is unacceptable, and I have reverted you. In addition, comments regarding me, struck out or not, are personal attacks and will not be tolerated. --Deskana (talk) 18:39, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't care if you were complaining; this user, like you, seems to have some problem editing the actual encyclopedia. Suggesting someone helps you with an MfD when you know full well what their opinion is is canvassing. I've had enough of talking to you now. It's getting me very frustrated. --Deskana (talk) 18:48, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

MFD

[edit]

I've Speedily KEPT User:Da.Tomato.Dude/Welc. In the future when you use this, please subst it in by entering {{susbt:User:Da.Tomato.Dude/Welc}} instead of translcuding it though. Thanks, — xaosflux Talk 23:55, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, just regarding the MfD

[edit]

Hey, just wanted to apologize for all the process and policy crap you're being subjected to right now. I know it isn't particularly fair. It seems a little extreme to me, MfDing all your stuff despite you've only started editing consistently since, what, 17th of March? :(-K@ngiemeep! 07:06, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
